well i'm don't really care if it tells story of ML or BL, as long as they have top notch chemistry and fresh plot,…
I'd say there are some Japanese ones that probably work. Especially if you like a calm realistic vibe. Definitely not complicated. The fire like chemistry isn't the same though. The more mixed ones (as in got some comedy) with potential cheesiness can be real cute and hold a lot of chemistry. I wouldn't know what to include that has a fresh plot and a moral to the story--that's not more romance focused. I only watched part of Trapped. It is different and interesting. I just didn't vibe with the main couple for some reason. haha I kind of want to recommend He's Coming to Me--which has Pat's actor in it. I'd say the chemistry is calmer in nature if anything. It's definitely a different type of story since one person is a ghost and there is a mystery to solve. It's not heavy on the mystery part, but still. I don't know if I'd say there was a moral. I mean does Manner of Death have a moral? Maybe I feel the morals in a lot of these stories are woven in--and not super obvious. I don't know. haha
Hello Buddy Fan, Already I hope everyone is doing well.Just wanted to share my thoughts without judgment.I think…
I think it is possible to overanalyze--which could take enjoyment out of things. Especially if you've been really into and thinking about something for a long time. I think it is okay to relook at things with a fresh pair of eyes, but I guess a test would be to watch something new (you'd normally really like) and see if you are hyper-analyzing even then. If so, you might need to rein yourself in a bit. Take a break. I don't know. If you fixate to the point of not enjoying something--that's no fun.
With that said, it is possible you have changed what you want out of a show--which is fine. Perhaps you are overanalyzing in order to find it. To be able to catch it better subconsciously or something. What about shows did you love before? What about them do you think you love now? Has anything changed? How much or how little? Perhaps you are just in a certain mood (at the moment), personally, which makes you crave a certain thing.
one proper BL series, I mean the whole series category! very fresh!! good god, can anyone recommend me something…
Yeah, it depends on what you are looking for specifically. You know, while including the healthy aspect. Since someone else mentioned it . . . Manner of Death is a murder mystery/romance where everyone is kind of a potential suspect, but the main relationship is more uncertain at the beginning than anything. Not like toxic. Oh no . . . thinking about it makes me wanna watch it. Pfft
Anyway, I can try to suggest more if you let me know what you are more inclined to like watching.
Happy Bad Buddy Friday everyone! The moment I saw the rating is 8.5, I know ppl will immediately mention it here. As…
At this rate it would be better if the average ratings people rated it was at an 8.4 so then they can add the extra points to bring it up to an 8.7 lolz I can't. haha
How much of a height difference seems tropey to you?FighterTutor and KurosawaAdachi are similar. One a bit shorter,…
Oh okay. I'd say the ones you mentioned could have the "we wanted a tropey height difference" vibe. Any lower and for sure. haha I just like to know for sure where someone might be coming from. haha
Yes this is true and I've noticed this trope is prevalent in Japanese BLs and now Korean ones. Thank heavens Thai…
I honestly don't get the feeling of the height trope being a big thing with Japanese ones. Except when it's done on purpose: like with the side couple in Cherry Magic. On purpose as if they were going for the whole small uke/tall seme vibe because of the story. Although in Cherry Magic the shorty looked to be the seme, but yeah. I suppose it depends on how much of a difference is too much for the individual though. Like do their eyes need to be the same level? The eyes at the nose okay? At the mouth too low? Chest level? haha

I meant . . . how much shorter is too short? For me, FighterTutor and KurosawaAdachi are pretty close in height and I didn't get the feeling it was tropey.
Woah . . . I just randomly calculated ATOTS and it's supposed to be at a 8.3 not an 8.6 I thought it would just cap the ones below 8.5 at 8.5 even if the extra points took it higher. But in this case it seems to add the extra points if it's below. Whereas BB is now at 8.5 rating wise and still doesn't have any extra points. I mean at least cap it correctly if you are gonna do that. Geez
i still don't understand the rating system in mdl, i just saw the highest rated drama currently, (move to heaven),…
It has been speculated that BLs potentially get capped at 8.5 or something. Because when averaging the stats above and the overall rating of the episodes, a 8.6 is correct. The thing is . . . MDL gives extra points for things like activity and whatever else. But if there is a BL cap then they can only get a higher rating by the actual ratings--if they are above a 8.5 I say this because the BL ones rated lower have those extra points added in. BB does not.
Untamed has at least a 9 though. But it might not be considered a BL because the hints are so slight and the show is so long. I wonder if the rating would change if the tags only mentioned bromance or just left the sexuality out of it. Just a random thought. There is a special that has a 8.7 but those don't have a dropped category--which eliminates the lowest scores. I don't think there is a completed BL that's gotten over 8.6. Not counting those two. I didn't double check since last time I tried to figure this out a bit on my own, however.
Currently watching Bad Buddy for the 5th time and I'm learning to appreciate things, that I didn't take much note…
I mean unless they had a soundtrack album like a hollywood movie . . . I don't know how else you'd be able to find it. Instrumentals in shows/movies/games/etc really bring a lot to a scene~ I wonder if I can record the audio and separate the voice/random sounds from the music. It was something I was thinking about trying before. haha

*Angry push...then looks at his wrist being held all huffy like before turning away and just ignoring whatever is being said.* Haha
Seen this one?
