I don't know why I laughed when I saw that picture. Maybe he just looked so serious. Like a rich mobster. The guy who fixes the books if you know what I mean. Doesn't go around doing the dirty work, but could probably elegantly take you down in a second without his glasses coming off. haha
Have we ever mentioned another BL trope demolished in BBS, namely marked height difference in ML? PatPran are…
How much of a height difference seems tropey to you? FighterTutor and KurosawaAdachi are similar. One a bit shorter, but not by a ton. Closer than the two KR ones you mentioned. Whereas some have even more of a difference while seemingly not sticking to the shorty being bottom. Does that still count as an issue?
Personally, I think it's fine as long as there are different types being shown. Differences in heights while adding different personalities/preferences. haha That's how life is after all. It's even better when shown in the same show: like technically Together With Me and Cherry Magic did that.
i think it's because people believe that some of the actions within the show were not consensual and therefore…
Yeah, I think in the series it's probably harder to tell what the characters are actually thinking/feeling. Also, some things might have been left out (or not explained well) by accident.
**This part is maybe a spoiler for the person who was asking about the show.** I was talking to someone who just watched it and they mentioned how they felt like Type's issue was never dealt with. As in the past trauma. More like he just casually got over it--cause love. After they mentioned that I was like 'you know you might be right cause I don't really remember'. I should probably rewatch and see for sure.
I liked Saint as he was in LBC…I guess I probably am one of those teeny tiny minority who didn’t like his…
True, it is possible he might have tried (consciously or not) what he thought was the best way to separate from the management issue and all that entailed. Usually it's a combination of things I find. Not that I know much about actors private lives even when they are publicly available, but the bits I've seen...him and Perth seem to have come out of it okay at the end of the day. It sucks they had to go through that and maybe they'd be friends if it didn't happen or something. Such is life.
As for the typecasting, the two roles weren't super different in my opinion. Both BLs not really crazy different from others. Compared to something like Not Me/Manner of Death. Nothing super grey on the mortal scale either. Let's Fight Ghost was different though. haha Was that his third work? Don't care enough to double check. haha His own image is something I can't comment on.
You mentioned age . . . and I think that's something people forget about. I feel like people don't really come into their own until their mid-twenties. Roughly. After they definitely are old enough to live life on their own terms to some degree and discover themselves with less pressure on them. I wonder if it's harder to do that when you are always in the limelight. Anyway, my point is . . . the younger someone is when in the limelight the harder it will be for them to navigate situations--mainly because of a lack of experience (assuming you are learning from your experiences haha). I feel like people forget such things. I'm speaking generally here just to be clear. haha

Yeah, it's hard to know if the dad situation and other things would have been dealt with better or not. I kind of wanted the fantasy element to be more part of it. Like what if he woke up from the whole thing and it never happened? Start season 2 of something more realistic. haha It could maybe even explain away any weirdo oocness haha And the situation could have made it harder for the actors--or that was their actual best at the time. It is what it is.

Well, the show came out at the worst time. A bit before 2gether, but it made a big difference. I think the show could have been great, but the situation made it hard to salvage. Hence the messy script. I think they did an okay job with trying to adjust and make it work, however. With that said, there were a ton of other barely there couples that might have still caused issues regardless. More than three is definitely too much in my opinion. It can start to affect the story flow.

I mean he seemed to be both in real life. Moments of cuteness and sass. I think he just wanted to be seen more as a person if anything. Not like this or that character. I mostly paid attention to the acting though. In that case the change was great. No one wants to be typecast and to be able to create a different vibe even if there might be some similarities with the characters is amazing.

I don't know if I'd call it evolution. Well, what exactly do you mean by evolution? Did you not like the character he played (aka preferred Pete)? Or the way he acted in that role? Something else? haha
Too bad Gun isn't in the running for the actor one. Also, if Bad Buddy somehow got the best scene I'd be kind of…
Yeah, that's totally true. I'm assuming they are rating all of last years and BB/NM both started at the end but finished this year. Perhaps that's why Gun wasn't picked for best actor (because it is still airing). Since it is easier to just rate a single scene than a performance of an actor who hasn't finished the show yet. I only mention Gun specifically because he was on the list last year. I kind of thought he'd be on it this year as an opinion at least.
As for the timing, it is possible they just assumed shows would be over by March. Two whole months have passed after all.

Too bad Gun isn't in the running for the actor one.
Also, if Bad Buddy somehow got the best scene I'd be kind of sad . . . because it isn't the best scene out of the choices. Perhaps it wouldn't bother me at all if the Not Me one was different. It's hands down the best one out of the choices for many reasons. If it was anything else I'd probably be like "hah BB still won with a less than amazing scene". Laughing like a menace or something. haha
Yeah,…I can’t help but wonder if the results would still hold if a more impactful bad buddy scene was picked.…
I'd be fine with Not Me winning even if an amazing Bad Buddy one was picked. I think because of the culture/political significance while staying within the bounds of the show and what the characters are going through.

Luckily, or not, for me . . . I struggle to buy myself things unless it's food for cooking. Haha

Maybe I just wouldn't be surprised if he did take such pictures . . . I wonder why . . . haha

Why did I think he was in some bondage when I first glanced at some of these pictures? haha
