I’m a sucker for time travel dramas and this first episode just set everything right: tears, laughter, warmth,…
I love the juxtaposition of his hopefulness at the beginning vs her despair and the reverse when they meet as adults. But the kid him dealing with doesnt know what is going in her is comedy gold.
Im questioning if this is all a loop. Maybe he saved her (in the accident) he remembered her, she didnt remember him and she’ll get to go back to the future just in time to save him or he “died” knowing it would trigger her to go back? Course I prefer a straight redo. It just doesnt seem likely with that call, knocking on the door etc. Its the obligatory romance kdrama mystery. Loving the show so far.
God forbid a female lead cries when she feels weak and helplessGod forbid a FL is perfect, ladylike in a traditional…
She’s not everyone’s cup of tea but she is awesome regardless. Which kind of fits. Her whole journey was learning to be her whole complete self and not just what she thought she needed to be to survive.
There were a lot of loopholes. How did do Han and ahjeong were bff for 14-15 yrs without knowing basically anything…
The main portion of their friendship where they were seeing each other daily was high school. ML is six years younger than them and they only talked at school. After that when they were adults, while he did track his brother, he didnt have him under 24 hour surveillance. As for the friendship between the two leads, it read as he was a very private contained person who sought her out and she never rejected or demanded anything of him.
could someone explain to me that why did she get pissed off when he helped her to get the main lead in her acting…
On top of the nepotism mentioned above, she had experienced having opportunities taken from her due to nepotism and now he’d essentially made her a dick to the girl whose job the FL “stole.” And that left her with the terrible conflict of stick to her principles while damaging her relationship with everyone on that crew or give into her own desperation to keep the gig and become someone she does not like or respect. The fact the choice was so hard and she still wanted to make what she felt was the wrong choice made her doubt her own worth. So his “help” was an emotional, psychological and work related injury. Just like the way he “helps” his brother.
I'm only at the beginning but FL is so damn annoying 💀
I felt the same way about the ML until about episode 8-10. And Id read the book where I knew he was going to become awesome. :) Glad you liked her better later.
If any of you read the novel, tell me what happened with Woobi, how would Suu Yu be without him, and did his cousin…
If we go by the second book, the boys dont see each other for 8 years after the accident. Its for dramatic reasons. They do get back together and get married at the end. The cousin doesnt really suffer any legal penalties.
Questions, answers and theories as of episodes 5-14:
I finally caught it’s Hei Er not Hei Fei. Lol
Answers: From questions on episodes 1-4 we have learned the answer to #7 is that there are more people in on the conspiracy in the hospital like Director Chen. #8 its unclear why the nurses discussed Hei Er like he was dead but he is most definitely still alive. He’s in the ICU coma ward with the other three who have “died” in game. #10 there doesnt seem to be a set player count. They gravitate towards groups of 7 but always minimum have 6. The likely answer to #2 is the ML was low key stalking the FL due to a relationship they had as kids. Not enough details yet to say for sure thats all. And it’s weird she doesnt seem to remember him. Of course maybe she does and just hasnt shared it. She’s fairly stoic. Updating question #6 that was not the guy who lied about Hei Er. He seems to be the big kahuna of Tianji. Real identity still unknown but he seems to be competing with Chun Yu? Or spurring her to greatness in the most convoluted way possible.
New questions: 11. Who is the ML’s “expert” friend he chats to? My theories are currently: the stalker ghost dude, the big kahuna of Tianji, Chun Yu’s dad. None of these have any evidence. 12. Whats up with Chun Ye’s dad? He sounds like a deadbeat, but maybe he was the guy that talked to ghost guy at the beginning saying to keep them away from Chun Yu. 13. Why does Chun Yu actively hide her intelligence. Is her bestie right that she’s trying to prove a point? If so, to who? 14. Why are the actual games so different from the promo games? 15. How did the car accident Chun Yu’s mom died in occur? And why does she hear her mom’s voice? Is her mom’s death or situation somehow tied to this game? 16. Is Chun Yu cold outwardly because of the ptsd from her mom’s death or does she have an actual brain injury that makes her a unique test subject for the game? 17. Is the guy Yu Wanyu cares for but is embarrassed of her brother or her boyfriend? 18. What was the sequence change on the Blow me Up train the second time? Was it one or two or three seconds faster each time? Why did no one hold the train till the last possible second and than let it loose so it would blow up between two booths? 19. What is our ML’s backstory? He’s a genius that is only 20 and already a graduate student who can sub classes. Where is his unique family backstory? Or is Chun Yu the only significant emotional beat for him? 20. If there is a pulse device that lets them remove chips from comatose patients without injury, why havent they done it? I get the four friends are being used to motivate Chun Yu to keep playing. But there have to have been others. Did they save those others or leave them to rot like this group?
Nah well done to song ha yoon absolutely killed it as sumin. You know the actress is talented when her character…
Not even when she saved Jooran from her evil ex? I loved everything she did in that scene from her initial reactions as they entered the apartment, to breaking the table, to attacking the guy and having to be restrained by the cops.
1. There were six bags of supplies in the first shadow puppet level. But seven players. Hei Fei died so they only…
I read your first sentence and than stopped. Will read in full after I’ve watched the rest of the show. I imagine all my questions will be answered in show. Just commenting on them as of episode 4. :)
yeah i was wondering where she went i hope she makes an appearance in the last ep
Its mot a full Romance progress but they have progressed a bit. They went from meeting, to her supporting him going after Jiwon, to being friends, to her showing curiosity about him, and now he shows curiosity about her. Its progressing very subtle.
1. There were six bags of supplies in the first shadow puppet level. But seven players. Hei Fei died so they only needed six. Does this mean the supplies adjusted or does it mean our ML wasnt suppose to be there? 2. Why does our ML have the FL’s student information. Given his questions in that chat he doesnt appear to be a designer or worker on the game. 3. Who is the guy who is stalking the FL in the real world and the dream/virtual/parallel universe world. 4. What was the sequence with the Nian? The first time they insert one door. The second time they had to insert two doors. All times after that they only had to insert one door or the bell? 5. What did they do to SFL to fix her “rejection” symptoms? 6. Who is the guy drinking the wine? Is it the doctor that showed them Hei Fei’s discharge? 7. Is Dr. Ji the only one in on this or are there more people in the hospital participating in this human experiment? 8. Is Hei Fei actually dead or was that a trick to enforce to our “players” they have to take the games seriously? 9. Is ML suppose to be in this game or did he somehow get sucked into it outside the control of those running it? 10. Hei Fei didnt seem to get replaced when he “died.” Will Yong get replaced or are they now down to just five player?
