I get that. Some dramas are really hard to watch because of the parents. You can go ahead and continue watching. His parents are sweet. Her mother is annoying but you can get over it quite easily, because you don’t see her that much, the leads are often away.
Watching it again because I don’t remember it. Episode 4, I hate FuPei. How dare he play the victim who got betrayed when he’s been a coward and avoided facing her feelings since high school! Now the male lead is interested in her and suddenly he acts like a jealous BF?
I fell in love with this drama on the first episode. The family dynamic is really amazing. I loved the dads’ friendship, acting like a married couple all throughout the show 🥰 If you’re looking for a drama with a lot of romance, this is not for you. I never whished for a character’s death as much as I did watching Ling Xiao’s mom ruin his life. I wasn’t even touched by the letter she left in the last episode, that’s how much I loathed her! I’m so mad she didn’t die… I’m not even sure I ever wished for a character’s death before at all…
I don’t get how this drama doesn’t have a higher rate. I found it funny and refreshing, I kept smiling while watching it. The characters were cute and lovable: Wei Zhi and Shan Chong had a beautiful relationship, Shan Shan and Dai Duo were really cute, Yiming though really bothering in the beginning grew into this amazing guy, Beici who couldn’t read the room everytime… I really liked watching this group of friends getting together, they were so natural, and the leads had this great chemistry. And the songs were beautiful. And the drawings at the end of the episodes were so cute! I’d give it at least a 8.5!
The thing you need to do before beginning to Watch GGS2 is think of it as an independant drama and not a sequel, it will be easier to get into it. I don’t get why so many people criticize it that much, overall it was a good one. The main couple was cute, HYT in particular, and the change from WTF to fighing bots made it that much more interesting for me. The competitions were stressful and captivating, whereas I found the ones in GGS almost boring. And let’s not Forget this drama has the best wingmen ever! I wish Demo was in it, but 97 was hilarious.
I have mixed feelings about this drama. The first half was really uncomfortable and disturbing for me. He literally kidnapped her. Sure, they used to be together, but she tried for a few episodes to get away from him and everytime he brought her back by force or by threat. That’s a hard no for me. And most of the comedy felt forced. And I won’t even mention the gangsters…
I almost dropped it but decided to stick it out and I’m glad I did.
The second half was so much better and touching and the ending was great (heartbreaking of course, but he was terminally ill so no big surprise here).
I don’t think i’ll ever Watch it again seeing how I really didn’t like the first few episodes, but I still gave it a 7.5 rating thanks to the second half.
How did this drama get a 7.7?? The plot is lacking, the characters are ridiculous (especially the villain), and the acting way overdone... I know you can't put a lot in 12 minutes, but still.... I love a good Cdrama, but the only reason I finished this one was because it was short. Even the hot kisses can't make up for all that it is lacking. I hardly write comments (good ones or bad ones) but I couldn't not write. I didn't even feel the "amazing" chemistry I read in some comments. Actually, I didn't feel much watching it, which for me means it's definitely a no.
I watched the underrated, my most cherished and one of the best sweet love drama (wok of love). FL absolutely…
If the FL's character is the only thing preventing you from watching, you can go ahead. I loved her character. Sure, in the first few episodes she's a bitch, but her character evolves quite nicely and in the end, she's really likable. For my part, I loved her kick-ass vibe, it was really refreshing after so many dramas where the FL can't do a thing on her own even when she's supposedly strong.
Wow that brings back a lot of memories ^^ my first was Devil Beside You, but I still watched all of them ! Rainie Yang and Mike He still have a special place in my heart ^^Coffee Prince was one of my favorites. I agree with you though, leads are so... vanilla now. I have a hard time getting attached to them.
Thank you for the review! I was hesitating, because to me ISWAK was the best, but I'll give it a try. Have you watched the Thai version? It's a really good drama too, and Zhi She's character is way more human and shows his feeling. If you haven't, try it, you won't regret it ;)
"Only I get to watch" xD Hye Young is the best! Jung Hee was so cute when the father asked if he could hug him (and can I say I'm in love with his laugh?). This episode had me smiling all the time. And when the guys all had their sunglasses on! And the wedding was just awesome! I think that's my favorite last episode ever!
Kang Soo's the man! He looked so happy when he left her house ^^ and the morning after too! I hope it'll lead somewhere! But I still like Jin Gyu too. He as these moments when he's all fun and cute!

I always wondered if it was a Korean thing to take the blame for every bad thing happening because of the rest of the world... They should really work on that...
And they do love their hospitals quite a lot. A drama is not a drama if there is no hospital in it!
