i know nothing about cdrama 'drama'. what's wrong with yu zheng? šļøššļø (i started watching cdramas…
Most of Yu Zhengās dramas seem to get caught up in controversy, and honestly, 95% of the time itās because of him. The more you learn about him, the easier it is to see why people dislike/hate him. Just search his name on Twitter or Reddit, and youāll see what I mean.
Everything went absolutely downhill after the wedding arc. After that, itās just RSB acting as an almighty power that oversees the past, present, and future. Secondary characters suddenly develop traits that were never shown or even hinted at before. The show handled plot twists well at first, but relying on the same formula repeatedly makes them feel forced and unbelievable rather than impactful, it becomes more about shock value than actually adding depth to the characters or bringing something new to the story.
I really like strong female leads rather than those who act childish, but there has to be a balance to make them enjoyable or easy to empathize with. At one point in the drama it feels like RSB it's more of a machine created by her grandmother to be this unbreakable, immovable force that doesnāt succumb or show much emotion toward anyone than a human being.
The romance was the most disappointing part of the drama, even though it had so much potential. What makes a relationship engaging to me is when both leads open up, lean on each other, and face their pain and struggles together. When the effort comes from only one side, it loses emotional impact and feels empty. We see LJL do this, but RSB never really does, and even if there are some moments, because of how her character is portrayed, they donāt feel very authentic. Damn, even with only five minutes of screen time, the storyline between Rong Yun Xi and her daughterās father felt more real and convincing. lol
PD: I hope everyones favorite actor here never works with Yu Zheng. I didnt want to belive it when I knew HMH was going to work with him, but it may actually be true that hes the devil incarnated.
the person in charge of choosing song weilongās suits needs to be fired lmao. heās got a great figure, but they gave him those big ahh suits that mades him look kinda goofy.
well, with this movie, lotte entertainment basically threw away 21 million dollars for absolutely nothing. maybe now they'll think a bit more about the production and casting decisions. (?)
i really wanna know what goes through the writersā minds when they write stuff like ending of episode 5 and episode 6 itself. in most cdramas/kdramas, this kind of subplot is pretty much inevitable. do they have, like, such a high IQ that thereās some deep, complex meaning behind it that only they understand? shit, this drama barely have 10 episodes, and they still managed to force it in
i think that kind of plot, even if it's not boring or annoying (that it is), totally disrupt the chemistry and development between the main leads. but i guess there koreans like it hhhh
i like the show (most of the time), but Iām sad that it brought a LOT of hate to Hou Minghao, at least on social media. i donāt know why and I donāt want to generalize, but from what Iāve seen, c-netz tend to pick one person from a show or drama and direct all their hate toward them. even if that person acts in the nicest way, people will still find something to criticize. certain things i know i don't understand because it's a "different culture", but there are others that are just ridiculous from any perspective.
still, i'm glad that there are also a lot of people who support him and know that he's a really good guy
how does the ending link back to the first episode when Choiseung wanted to build the memorial and he was asked…
I donāt think there was any deeper meaning to that scene; people overanalyzed it. It was simply meant to introduce the audience to his character and show the kind of person he was.
