Good point. It was a last minute addition to the mechanics of the body switch. Like it was only added to solve a dilemma because the two characters are too far away from each other. š
When they switched, the ML-in-FL was trying to escape after capture. But when the ML returned to his body, he did not remember it.
He even asked where the FL was and they told him that she was with the former Queen. But it was him while in the FL's body who split with the former Queen.
Forgetting their memories every switch was not part of the mechanics. In fact, even if he did forget, he did not forget anything up to when he was running with the former Queen. The only part he forgot was from the time he split up with the former Queen up to while he was trying to escape, just before they switched back.
I can't find any in-universe explanation to explain it. I have no choice but to accept that there was a continuity error. š¤£š¤£ They probably filmed those scenes before the filmed the running and his capture.

The best decision they ever made was to end this at E14. If they pushed for 16 episodes, the ending wouldn't be as great. Or, if they chose 12 episodes, it entire series will feel lacking.

> I think what I always struggle the most with in these royal stories where there is someone below the status of the King or Crown Prince holding "power" over them
However, that is actually happening to this very day. Most, if not all, modern politicians are usually beholden to their major financial supporters. Not because we don't see it in news does it mean it os not happening.
In addition, you have to remember that this story was set sometime in the early Late Joseon, after the Qing (Manchus, a.k.a. Jurchens) won against the Ming. Around this time, the kings of Joseon was already sharing some of its powers with the advisors. Or in Roman Empire set up, the Roman Emperor shared some of its powers with the Senate.
If you are wise, you can indeed trap someone sitting on the throne. Or, manipulate them for your own benefit. It happened in the Roman Empire, Byzantine Empire, Russian Empire, Greek Empire, even in the Japanese Empire. Joseon wasn't immune to such.
So, it's actually historically accurate as far as politics are concerned, there were and there still are people who are controlling the incumbent political leader of a country. We cannot even say that fictional stories exaggerated it because history itself is filled with unbelievable atrocities done at the highest level of governments. Writers are simply mixint these various historical plots to create a fictional story.
Just started this. One thing I don't understand is why in some Kdramas the king or prince can act out and execute…
No. It is historically correct in some cultures like in the Korean culture. Over time, especially during the mid and late Joseon Dynasty, the absolute power of the king was slowly diminished, giving more power to the advisors. It was no longer an absolute monarchy.
Thus, the king cannot just kill.
However, an evil king can kill anyone because the king's word is still absolute. They can depose him but there are loyal people to him, so you cannot just depose him either.
It is very similar in modern day democracy, you cannot impeach a President just because you want to, you need to get the majority to get the President impeached. If the majority of the Legislative body is controlled by the President's allies, usuallyy their political party, the President will be very strong as well.
In the early days of the Joseon Dynasty, the monarchy was absolute. Meaning, the advisors held no power. This is what most people are thinking about when they see kings and queens. However, throughout history, in various cultures, kings and queens rarely held absolute power. It was always shared with the advisors, or in the Roman Empire era, the Senate.
This is also a form of check and balance.
In Joseon's case, they had a 500-year history. Based on the relaxed court in this series and their closeness with Qing Dynasty, this happened in the early years of Late Joseon period, probably after the Qing Dynasty won the war against the Ming Dynasty. Joseon at this period was buddy-buddy with the Manchus (Qing, a.k.a. Jurchen). So, when the Qing won against the Ming, Joseon and Qing were very close, which was hinted in the show.
I didn't get it? why did the number on an-na shirt keep changing??
It symbolizes the number of times the simulation ran.
The real FL went to space. Before the accident, she said that her solution to finish a new emotion engine is to create a Mother subject and let her repeat the finding her son. The emotion engine is successful if the subject finds her son.
The FL with a numbered shirt is a computer simulation.
Thank you for sharing! Superb! šš½

S03 is like a fan-service. Every desire of audiences to kill the evil character, that's exactly what they're doing.
LOL.
And when are they going to show us the "main" plot they teased before the premiere? You know, fighting an even bigger global crime than S02?
Let's get to it! šš

14 episodes was just perfect.

I even used an emoji.
But how did you reply? "yeah Iām not reading all that. make as many excuses as you want".
Now, you're whining when you were provided a summary, then playing the victim when it was you who started it?
Like you said to me earlier: go find some humour. That way the emoji isn't lost on you.

I summarized it, and you're still complaining.
Make up your mind.
Or, just ask,.and be sure to tag me, and I'll answer.
