Nah, if this was a North American production, it would've been cancelled in S01 or S02 already. NA prods = good shows = cancellation but bad shows = at least S05. The only exceptions are those that reach cult status like 12 Monkeys, Stranger Things, Fringe, StarGate, Flash, Arrow. š If they don't reach cult status and they're good shows = cancelled. š¤£
I hope that the characters who were only briefly mentioned in the last episode of the second season will continue…

They don't even take action on reported comments, the only place they moderate is the forums and built-in status updates (which is not accessible in their mobile apps). They placed far too much disconnected features, they can't properly moderate the place anymore. š¤·š½
The ratings will recover. But expect the first week or two where he shows up to get bombed in MDL. š

The reason why I love watching Kdramas is because I can often relate to the characters and their decisions. Even romantic Kdramas that people dismiss as "unrealistic" just because they haven't experienced it. Many Kdrama writers pull from their own experiences or the stories of their acquaintances and friends. They combine them to create a Kdrama story that people can relate to, especially to those who already have years in the outside world.

But later, she had a realization of it when grandma said exactly the same thing, although in a different way. She is longing for true love and protection from adults. Adults without a hidden agenda and won't run away just because.
She even prayed for grandma to survive because she finally found that adult. If "good guy"/"fall guy" did not add "best revenge", she would have seen him similarly.
Then it happened for the 3rd time but in reverse. When her ex-step-mom ambushed her in her home. The stark realization of what "good guy"/"fall guy" and grandma said to her hit her hard because the step-mom she hoped will be her protection continously acted as an arse. Suddenly, it's all there. She can no longer deny what it is she has been searching and longing for her entire life: adults who will love her, protect her, and can forgive her and guide her.
She found them from the people she used, total strangers at that. From the people she expected will turn their backs on her and hate her and curse her to hell. But those two people has forgiven and accepted her.
But the people she expected to provide that are the people who are only using her or doubting her. It is actually a miracle she is still holding on to her step-brother.
We are not justifying what she did. But like those two adults told her, she's the way she is because she was abandoned, tortured, abused, lied to, and there were no adults who guided her and believed in her.
Deep inside, she's crying and shouting. She never wanted to be like how she became but she had to so she can survive in a world so harsh.
An evil person wouldn't hold back and won't have second thoughts. Even her quarrel with her senior in the agency, she didn't start that one, she just finished it with her on top. She held herself back because she knew what she is capable of. But her senior wouldn't stop. An evil person wouldn't do that, not even give a warning, they'll just do it in one go with a bang, one shot one kill style.
Just keep rating on those two sites. So the data is growing. But if you want a site with a high rating sample already, well, none exist for Asian shows outside of MDL, TMDB, and IMDB.
Because there is an actor in the cast with who was imprisoned for a sexual related case. Every show he was on was bombed here in MDL. The Koreans has forgiven him for he paid for it already, but non-Koreans are still haunting him.

Yes, people do not know what Battle Royale is, but that's exactly the point. How would people know if no one will tell them?
While the concept of last man standing isn't new, it only became a genre after the release of the live-action adaptation of Battle Royale in 2000. The genre itself was named after it, even in gaming!
Battle Royale achieved cult status. It is a pop culture icon. Battle Royale is what defined the genre, not Squid Game. Thus, it is only appropriate to compare any work in this genre against what gave birth and defined it.
It's fine not knowing, that's why we are sharing this information. What one does with new information is up to them.
If later we find a new production that surpasses Battle Royale, then we have a kew benchmark for the genre. (But maybe the name won't change easily.) Last Samurai Standing came really close to Battle Royale, for me personally. Maybe in Chapter 2, it will surpass Battle Royale, then we'll have a new benchmark.
But, Squid Game? No. Definitely not the defining production of the genre. This is why we are sharing it so people will know. Again, what they'll do rith this new information is up to them.
