can someone explain the plot twist. I didn't really understand it.
The twist is that the 2ML is also cursed and the 1ML knew it and did research as well. Based on the results, the 1FL and the 2ML have the same curse.
This is why the 1ML planned everything. He knew it is the only way to make the 2ML believe. And once he believes it, he'll soon realize what happened to alu the girls and women who got into an accident or died around him. Including the girl who was being stalked.
I did suspect when we first met JH that he was also a witch but he didn't show up a lot so I put that thought…
2ML realized 2FL is in danger. The only reason nothing _so far_ has happened is because she is not in love with him. Yes, she can get into minor accidents because of the 10 meter rule, 10 minutes rule, and 10 sentences rule, which she violated 3 times already.
However, there's no guarantee to it. Not like with having a single tiny feelings for the person, which guarantees an accident, minor or otherwise.
Another theory, I think for people have no feelings for the accursed, they will only start experiencing accidents once phey violated something 10 times.
The show is all about 10, 10, 10.
The 2FL violated 3 rules 3 times. That's 9 violations already. If she violates one more, she'll start experiencing accidents.
the 2nd lead curse triggers if they are very far apart?thats why he wants to stop the bus? hoping to have a close…
It's probably the same. In the preview, 2FL started to develop feelings so now she's in danger because she kept on talking to him qnd breaching the 10 meter rule.
2ML wants her to alight the bus because he realized she'll be in danger. I think 2ML figured out how to save her.
Then the preview switched to 1FL figuring out where 1ML is hiding, and hinted she realized she has feelings for him. So, she'll find him and confess.
Remember the crush of 1FL? He did not die because 1FL has a crush on him. 1FL probably figured it out herself. Which 1ML alreqdy figured out hence he planned this elaborate scheme, for 1FL and for 2ML.
When they revealed the twist, I thought 1ML wanted them to meet so they can cancel each other's curse and free them.
No. They can't cancel each other. The curse still applies. Their only advantage is they have some safety net, like how 2ML tested if he will get into an accident. But he liked 1FL and confessed to her, he'll die. His immunity from accidents won't apply to death.
There is only one way to cancel the curse, the cursed needs to confess that they love the person and they must confess it first.
However, the 2FL was with 2ML three times already. 1. Café 2. Her TV station office 3. 1ML's room
She's already in danger. The only thing that's keeping her alive is she hasn't developed feelings for 2ML.
Which means, the girl being stalked almost died because she started to like the 2ML. The stalker just happen to be the closest and easiest to be manipulated by the curse to bring her death.
Oh thank you for the explanation ^^ Didn't have to bother looking it up.Side Note: I once asked a Korean teacher…
Yes, that's correct. 🙂 In current Korean speech, 예 and 에 are no longer distinguishable. Our Korean teacher told us we should just remember the correct spelling because it still matters in written form; and how today the distinct pronunciations are usually only heard from teachers, those who live in the provinces, or the older generation. She said that for us learning 21st Century Korean, just remember the correct spelling. 😁
She's from KCC (Korean Cultural Center) and happens to work for a Korean government agency too. I figured then, if she said it so, then it is so. 😅
In general, I think all languages have these confusing pronunciations which eventually results or resulted in a new spelling too.
In the Filipino language, which was based on the 8 major languages in the Philippines (not counting the various dialects and minor languages), there are a lot of such words.
An example is "lalaki" (male). The correct spelling (in school) is "lalaki" but it's often pronounce as "lalake". The pronunciation "lalake" is technically incorrect too because the vowel sound is somewhere between "i" and "e". Unfortunately, our limited use of the Latin/Roman script is preventing us from writing the correct vowel pronunciation. Because of it, we now have 3 pronunciations and 2 spellings for that word. 🤣🤣 I still remember our teachers teaching us the proper pronunciation, "it's not an "i" or an "e", it's in between like this, listen". 🤣 But today, we've forgotten how exactly to pronounce it properly. Only the teachers, those in the provinces, and older generations remember.
Explanation on why the 1ML's father laughed about his name.What the kid ML wrote was 해성 (Haeseong), but he…
In other words, since he still pronouncing it as 해성 (Haeseong), his name means "sea castle".
I think that's ironic because his character is actually like a sea castle not a comet or meteor (혜성 (Hyeseong)).
Sea castle: strong yet fluid; easily adapts to the situation Comet/meteor: stiff, raging (if close to the sun), frozen (if in deep space)
One could say as an NIS agent, he is putting a fake personality (the comet/meteor) but once you break his shell you'll find his charm, like a sea castle. And that's what the 1FL saw about him during the photoshoot; and his sister when he apologized.
It was a very nice play on words. As a person he wants to be a comet/meteor so he's acting like one. But the way he kept pronouncing and writing his callsign incorrectly made him a sea castle type of person he is denying himself to be.
Explanation on why the 1ML's father laughed about his name.
What the kid ML wrote was 해성 (Haeseong), but he said it's the word for comet.
His father laughed because it was wrong.
해성 (Haeseong) means sea castle.
What he actually wanted to write was: 혜성 (Hyeseong) which means comet or meteor. Another variation is 헤성 (Heseong).
Second point: his father was confused when the kid said 해성 "Haeseong" but was talking about comets. The reason was he pronounced it incorrectly. The pronunciation of 해 (Hae) is different from 헤 (he) and 혜 (hye).
And so his father asked him if he will never regret it. 😅
Third: it's also why his childhood friend kept correcting him. 🤣 They didn't show what he wrote but I'm suspecting the kid FL taught him how to write properly his nickname but he kept writing 헤성 (Heseong). She kept telling him it's 혜성 (Hyeseong). While 헤성 (Heseong) is acceptable today, it probably wasn't back in the timeline when they were kids. Besides, in school, wrong spelling is wrong.
Naver is probably monitoring it already LOL. More likely already getting too many failed attempts from all over the world. 🤣

Same rules.
The 2FL already violated 3 rules 3 times.
* 10 meters
* 10 minutes
* 10 sentences
She met with 2ML 3 times.
Just 1 more violation, and accidents will start following her.
And death follows once she develop feelings for 2ML.

I hope it helped.
