Just started FOF after finishing VOS, which I’ve considered my favorite drama of 2026 so far. But after reading some comments suggesting that some, maybe many of its ideas were taken from FOF, I might have to revisit my rating once I finish this 🤔
This is my favorite drama of 2026 so far, across all genres!!! Very layered and complex, making my brain hurt but I was so addicted till the end ❤️❤️❤️
I’ve previously watched Chen Duling, Zeng Shunxi, and Tian Jiarui’s dramas, but this is my first drama of Ju Jing Yi and Yan An, and they are both so impressive. I know what some viewers said about the four main leads’ screentime, but honestly I never felt like anyone was sidelined. To me, all four are truly main leads and even five if you count Yan An. They are equally important to how the story unfolds, and no matter how much screentime they have, it doesn’t diminish their roles or acting at all.
I watched this because of Tiktok. Pretty good overall. About the ending:
Obsessed ML who treated other women like garbage in the past ended up with the FL, who not only forgives him but also accepts him (and kinda turns obsessively in love with him too?). I’ll just say they found their person in each other. Thank God it’s fiction, otherwise no sane woman would choose this type of man 😅
FoF OST is still the best. Nothing has topped it yet for me, sadly not even VoS.
So far I quite like several of the VOS OST, but only one stood out for me which is Zhou Shen’s. And that not yet released BGM that sounds like a Buddhist chant.
I stumbled upon Fangs of Fortune’s theme song (大梦归离) last year and it became one of my favorite songs in my playlist even though I never watched the drama. After seeing how much I’m loving GJM's Veil of Shadows, I can’t wait to watch it! 💗
Today’s episode was so good! WSG and WWY is truly an old married couple... the depth, the tenderness, the sincerity 🥹🥹🥹. And in this episode, it was also clear to me that JL has feelings for LWY. These last few episodes have woven both relationships together so naturally and smoothly, and it really touched me 🥹
A very good, inspiring drama with a steady, gripping story from the first until the last episode, which I find…
I understand the production need to go this way due to censorship. The scene on the rooftop when Xiao Lan is fading away is because the 2026 Xiao Lan is going to wake up. In the last scene, when Xiao Lan and Zhou Cheng meet again and Zhou Cheng calls her name just like he promised that he will find her again, I think they both remember their “dream” / “alternate life.”
A very good, inspiring drama with a steady, gripping story from the first until the last episode, which I find quite rare since some dramas start to drag in the middle or the story fell apart. Incredible performance by Zhou Ye and Zhai Xiao Wen and also other supporting cast, which made the story flow flawlessly. I really like the 80s–early 90s set! 💜💙💛
This is such an underrated drama, very well made! I am now up to ep 28 and especially like Liu Fen's character development. The story is inspiring and empowering, especially Xiao Lan, and makes me feel like I can be successful just like her 💪🌟 PS: I’m obsessed with Xiao Lan’s earrings. They’re so pretty and colorful!

I think the ending is good, but bittersweet ❤️
