I didn't like the first 4 EPs, they were boring and full of despair, it started to get interesting when they had a bet, actually that's what made the series enjoyable, if not I'd have dropped it. I liked Jena with the CEO, their arguments and fights are very refreshing lol, I love the fact that she was brave to argue with him and disagree despite being in a disadvantageous place. I don't know how Jena would be a pair with Jihan because they didn't have much screen time together and they didn't show any type of attachment between them both, maybe friendship but not romance. I didn't care much about who did she end up with, actually I like how it ended with no one, because it's about dreams not romance, it dragged a little I admit and I didn't like how they kept adding sad things, they are suffering enough to reach their dreams, it doesn't have to be that dramatic. Overall I enjoyed it, I wouldn't watch it again but I think it was interesting enough to be recommended.
The drama's title is "Smile" it has a cheerful poster and the cutest intro with babies, yet it's one of the saddest dramas ever with a whole hell of racism and discrimination, xD I don't know what to say about this but it was a good one, definitely not my cup of tea but it was good nonetheless.
Well, Soompi's kind of always a bit... overly flourished and wonky with summaries. Theirs have all the cast names,…
That's a whole hell of a lot!! XD I hope you are at least eating well and healthy because that was tough xD Have a beautiful wonderful holiday because you deserve it. 👍
I LOVE this drama, I really enjoyed every single minute of it, it was hilarious sad at some parts but not overly dramatic, their whole marriage problems would be solved with one sentence "I love you, stay with me, let's try to work it out together" they were too proud to admit their love and they had too low self-esteemed to think they could make each other happy, that was frustrating a little.
Eita's character was super funny and he simply nailed it, Keiko was so beautiful here, I remember the first time I saw her in Buzzer Beat, she grew prettier with time, I love the pair and their chemistry was on point though the physical interaction was a bit off.
The story had some flaws and unnecessary fillers, I was annoyed with that colleague in the first ep, she ruined someone's work and they just left it like that without doing anything about it, I call that lousy writing, everything was tied up well at the end but still it pissed me off.
It's not the best but I still recommend it for Eita and Keiko.
Wang LiKun playing Johnny Huang's bodyguard .... I can't imagine the picture at all, this has to be a rom-com ... I hope they'd do something about the physical appearance because it doesn't sounds realistic at all xD yet, I'm excited to watch it ~~
How on earth did people find this funny!!?? It was entertaining I admit, but ep6 literally made me depressed when it ended!!!! I still don't know why did they do that to Kagome!???? I like how it ended and how they showed that being a divorced doesn't have to be ugly and bad, you can still be in your ex's life in a civil way - though they are a bit too much here lol- I genuinely enjoyed this, though I couldn't relate to it at all.
Ugh!! I'm struggling to not watch such a story with such cast!!!! I think this will be brilliant, I just hope it wouldn't be very sad because really I love AEJ but I hate sad dramas. Be that as it may, I'd definitely give it a shot!
Am I the only one who think the synopsis is all over the place!? I don't fully understand how will the story go lol but I have enough reasons to watch this, mainly because the whole cast and how good they are in comedy, so I might give it a go when it's done.
Sora is a tiny ball of cuteness ❣️❣️❣️ she is the soul of the movie, it's not really a BL it's more of a divorce journey, it's totally different than the drama, which was much lighter. Nagisa here is jerk, and totally different from the drama, I would understand it more if the one who got away was Shun since it wasn't fully concluded in the drama that he is gay -he could be Bi- but I'll take what I can get. Overall not bad, Sora is super cute and deserve to give a movie a chance just for her.
Oh god! I finished this in one sitting, I love it, I'm a big fan of friendship dramas I usually watch Japanese ones but this one was very good. I don't like the idea that drinking is a solution for every single problem you face but I didn't care much because this has a lot to offer other than just that. I didn't think it'd turn that sad at the last few episodes, the acting was on point really. I knew from the beginning who is the voice behind Mr. Nice paper and I thought he won't appear but when I saw Shiyoon i was so happy. His presence is delightful. I don't like that Siwon always play the same character in every drama, he has great potential he should really explore other types of characters. I highly recommend this drama, it has everything.
It's not what I expected but it wasn't bad, it just felt dull, I thought it'd be lighter or maybe a little funnier. there is no consistency in the drama, Maki's story was never ending and when a loose end is tied something else happens. There are love stories but no romance, it was just a straight line of unrequited love and at the end only the friendship survived, I'm even surprised they put love between them if they were not going to make anyone end with another. At some point the flow of the drama was repetitive and I was like "here we go again" of course with some difference but it was basically the same thing happening, the only exception was the concert ep. I would recommend the drama for music lovers because that's the most decent thing in the drama.
The story sequence was all over the place, I didn't read the synopsis before I started so I didn't understand what was going on till the third episode. It was a low budget drama and I like it but I was lost most of the time. Not bad but not so good.
My mum and her mum used to watch this series and cry rivers, I was told stories about it and though I didn't watch it myself I knew the whole story of oshin's life and their memories watching it. I would not watch it because I personally don't like sad dramas and people having a miserable life, but I can say that this was magnificent at the time it was made. It brings me memories of times I didn't even exist at xD I wish I was born in the 80s and lived with my mum and granny those memories, this would be the only exception for me to watch it. I still highly recommend it for people who don't mind watching sad dramas.
I find all these comments weird because I live in a country where people generally cheat (especially the women)…
The actress who he cheated with hasn't been in the media since the scandal while he is still working, so it's sad that the "cancellations" was one sided.
I didn't notice that I'm kinda into this type of dramas till now while reading this so thank you for that
I actually watched every drama you wrote about except for the ghost bride because someone actually said it was bad but I'm going to trust this article and watch it later xD I can't believe you didn't mention "the witch's diner", you got to watch the witch's diner lol it was very good. There a few dramas that checks all the boxes like "bring it on, ghost" and "oh my ghostess" though the latter isn't that spooky at all. There are a few goblin-ish dramas with more fantasy like arang and the magistrate, 49 days, Doom at your service, Gu family book, Black knight, moonshine and valentine, lovers of red sky, my girlfriend is a gumiho, Queen inhyun's man, perfume, scripting your destiny. I have to say that I do have different opinions about these dramas and they miss something in the quirks you stated but you can check the stories and figure out if they fit your taste. Thank you for reminding me of those dramas, I hope you find something you'd like.
Looks like the writer really hate affairs, because she was like "I'm going to make your dream true then fuck you over" I didn't sympathize with the 2 leads at all, I'm sorry but affairs are just a big no for me. Kinda satisfied with this movie xD
Affairs don't go down well with me, I don't like it and I don't like the idea of affairs being a solution for a messed up marriage or relationship. And this drama is a realistic example, it shows how an affair can destroy lifes and no one would win at the end, so this drama as a story is realistic and nice though I still think they glamorized affairs and you'd be fine as long as you do your homework, be a good nice wife/husband and not get caught.
I don't fully agree with the comment saying that it's hard for eastern people to divorce, well yes it's difficult but that's the only solution, affair isn't and that's what they actually did at the end, what I think is better as a solution is talking to each other, if you went to the point of marriage then you know that person or understand him, at least love him a little, there gotta be some kind of attachment to that person to marry him -if that's not the case then you can't complain about anything you are not even living anymore, just get a divorce or suck it up- that's why you should talk your problems out, fix it, go to a couple therapy or try something, try to solve it using your mind, you chose that person to continue your life with then try hard to make it work, and if it didn't work, don't go making stupid and irrational decisions, it won't help.
