My mum and her mum used to watch this series and cry rivers, I was told stories about it and though I didn't watch it myself I knew the whole story of oshin's life and their memories watching it.
I would not watch it because I personally don't like sad dramas and people having a miserable life, but I can say that this was magnificent at the time it was made.
It brings me memories of times I didn't even exist at xD I wish I was born in the 80s and lived with my mum and granny those memories, this would be the only exception for me to watch it.
I still highly recommend it for people who don't mind watching sad dramas.

The actress who he cheated with hasn't been in the media since the scandal while he is still working, so it's sad that the "cancellations" was one sided.

I can't believe you didn't mention "the witch's diner", you got to watch the witch's diner lol it was very good.
There a few dramas that checks all the boxes like "bring it on, ghost" and "oh my ghostess" though the latter isn't that spooky at all.
There are a few goblin-ish dramas with more fantasy like arang and the magistrate, 49 days, Doom at your service, Gu family book, Black knight, moonshine and valentine, lovers of red sky, my girlfriend is a gumiho, Queen inhyun's man, perfume, scripting your destiny.
I have to say that I do have different opinions about these dramas and they miss something in the quirks you stated but you can check the stories and figure out if they fit your taste.

I didn't sympathize with the 2 leads at all, I'm sorry but affairs are just a big no for me. Kinda satisfied with this movie xD

Affairs don't go down well with me, I don't like it and I don't like the idea of affairs being a solution for a messed up marriage or relationship.
And this drama is a realistic example, it shows how an affair can destroy lifes and no one would win at the end, so this drama as a story is realistic and nice though I still think they glamorized affairs and you'd be fine as long as you do your homework, be a good nice wife/husband and not get caught.

I don't fully agree with the comment saying that it's hard for eastern people to divorce, well yes it's difficult but that's the only solution, affair isn't and that's what they actually did at the end, what I think is better as a solution is talking to each other, if you went to the point of marriage then you know that person or understand him, at least love him a little, there gotta be some kind of attachment to that person to marry him -if that's not the case then you can't complain about anything you are not even living anymore, just get a divorce or suck it up- that's why you should talk your problems out, fix it, go to a couple therapy or try something, try to solve it using your mind, you chose that person to continue your life with then try hard to make it work, and if it didn't work, don't go making stupid and irrational decisions, it won't help.

Ok, this pissed me off because it's not the first time I see that in a drama/movie.
When you know OR doubt that someone is a killer, you don't go, alone, unarmed, without telling anyone and BOLDLY CONFRONT him.
Imagine going to A BLOODY PSYCHOPATH!!!!!!!!!! This would be the most idiotic thi..... You know what, you deserve to die... Just throw yourself out the window, shoot yourself or cut your artery, that'd be easier.

I didn't fully get the end, but think they had S2 on mind while working on this.
I'm not going to watch it lol, just make a second season so that I'd intentionally not watch it.

Great start, nice middle, bad twist and lazy end.

I don't know how to feel about this tbh xD I haven't seen many Korean remakes to say definitely if they are good or bad, but some of the ones I watched were not that good so I'm a bit skeptical about how this would be, but the cast gives me some relief, I hope it'll be good because I'm really excited about the cast.

I found this merely by chance and I wasn't really excited about watching it, but I had a really shitty week and I thought it's available subbed and the story looks funny so I gave it a shot.
And I'm glad I did, let me just say that this drama doesn't make any sense at all, it's chaotic and messy and every single character is piece of art xD Baka lives up to her name for real.
It was hilarious and I'm glad someone somehow found this drama and subbed it because it really made me feel better -thank you whoever you are-.
Highly recommended really, for everyone, you'd lose your sense of reality while watching - in a good way-

Ugh!! I love Aom but I dropped the original one halfway because it dragged a lot, I don't know about the 40ep thing.

The synopsis is longer than the special episode itself but I am not complaining.
This is intriguing enough to start the second season.

I like this drama, it's nice and simple, not a fan of the straight to gay idea but here I can gladly accept it because it make sense to me.
Recommended.

Yeah, I think they showed a little about how he became so obsessed with his brother, they stopped at this point though, that's why I said I wish they would fix him but they didn't even admit in the drama that he has a problem or that he is mentally unstable though it is obvious.

And I think they picked the actors they wanted then adjusted their height while filming
because I noticed Yurina is about 163cm, that's about 15cm difference between her and Jun but when they stand next to each other it's not that much. -not really sure though my eyes might have tricked me- lol
