Good lord in heaven!!
This was the most clichéd drama in the history of cliche, yet the story managed to be spectacularly boring.
Heads up, I'm going to vent a little ~

it's a typical playboy meeting innocent girl mess around with her with the original "don't fall in love with me, I'm big bad wolf, GRUWL!!!" while treating her nicely with no freaking reason, YOU JUST MET HER YESTERDAY!!
then a period of a few cliché moments where heaven and hell goes hands in hands to push them together till they both fall in love, then push and pull period, she learn about his dramatic past *sad music in the BG* then they are together, break up, make up, happily ever after.
I just told you the whole freakin story of every rom-com existed, how did you fuck this up lol
Because that's exactly what happened but this was by far soooo slow and I skipped most of the eps, AND THEY'RE HARDLY 25 MINS EACH.

The FL cries a lot, like annoyingly and unnecessarily a lot, I don't remember a scene with her not crying, and when she cut her hair, I was like "oh so he liked her hair, that's her way of saying , I cut my hair I'm over you go fuck yourself" but Nooohohoo!! She is as persistent as a mosquito!!

The ML story wasn't that traumatic really, I've seen worse he was overdramatic about it, dude! Get a grip!! *Slap him twice*

One last thing: are we now normalising forced-kisses!? In workplace, no less!? How can they be so indifferent about it lol
Like, dude, I know it's a manga story but a few awkward expressions wouldn't hurt, you know, it'd made it more believable.
It was like a wind, happens too fast to be noticed, and everyone is ignoring it.

It wasn't as bad as I said above tbh but I have a reason to be slightly more annoyed than necessary, I don't recommend it, just skip this one.

Ok, I can't do this anymore.
I'm not a big fan of Chinese dramas specially historical ones, and believe me, no way in hell or heaven I'd fully watch 50 EPs of a drama unless I'm completely and utterly hooked which hardly happens to me.
And I didn't like the story, it wasn't that interesting to me at all, though I like fantasy dramas but I still wasn't excited about this.
BE THAT AS IT FREAKIN MAY, This series kept haunting me down, I saw it everywhere, in every search, every suggestion, even the poster kept popping up in front of mme. I couldn't run away.
So I started it, I'm not completely satisfied with it but I can see the appeal of it, the 2 MLs -specially the bubbly one- are very good, their chemistry is nice and the story is kinda no that boring.
That being said, I still put it on hold, because 50 are just too much xD

This is not a serious movie with big idea and spectacular acting.
It's one of those light movies where there is no compact plot with a beginning and ending, there is no story development at all, and the acting is acceptably mediocre.
IMO if you considered movies are like novels, this would be a short story.
The execution was good though, so it's not a boring movie just don't expect too much from it, enjoy the 70mins without thinking to much.

I haven't watched many Taiwanese dramas but the few I did watch were good and this reminds me of the Korean drama "Secret".
I liked the two males leads, the brothers were very nice, the FL was a little bit... Meh... I just don't know, maybe another actress would be better, nothing really wrong with her but I just wasn't fully convinced with her.

The acting from everyone was not bad, the story started off good and intriguing, then it dragged a bit with nothing much happening really, till the last 5 ~ 4 ep or so, then the story continued with the same pace.
It wasn't really boring but there is no serious development happening in the main story.
The ML feelings seemed rushed a little for me, I understand the it's supposed to me a transition from anger-hate-obsession-sympathy-love you can see hints of that but this transition went too fast from anger-sympathy-love maybe even without the sympathy.
Overall it was good, but I don't really recommend it for people who gets bored easily.

It has a few nude scenes so be aware.

Ummmm mmmm.....mmmmmm......
Too predictable lol
The main couple are super cute, won tak is super adorable, and the evil character looked too cute to be evil really lol beside the visuals and acting the story is sooooo predictable and nothing interesting about it, I liked the drama at the beginning but after 5-6 ep it became meh.
Not bad, but I don't know if I like it enough to recommend it.
Basic drama, catchy start, good chemistry, boring middle and obvious end.

I watched the first ep thinking the stpry was interestin uk cool still debating abt if i want to continue it or…
Maybe because it was the least predictable story that I found it more interesting, but to be honest the others story was really predictable, and half way through and I was able to know how everything will end.

Look, my friend, I'm just watching dramas and saying my opinion about them and sometimes recommend what I like so that people who read my comment would have an idea before deciding to watch or not, I'm not here to judge a whole country culture and what became of it from a manga live action because this here is nothing, compared to some other stories, this is not the worst out there, If you want to talk about it, be my guest and if you want to share opinions I'm more than happy to do so, I'm really open minded and respect different opinions freely, I've seen my fair share of odd weird bizarre dramas and movies, so yea, I know about the "culture" you are talking about and we can talk about it for hours, just not here, I'm just stating an opinion here, that's it.

Not bad, just plain.
There is nothing wrong with it it's just too short and there is no compact storyline that's it, so it seems all over the place but it is not bad, the acting is good and not cheesy.
What annoyed me was when the Jun Cheng speaks Korean and they answers back in Chinese and vise versa, I know they sometimes reply in the same language, maybe if I wasn't speaking one of those languages it wouldn't be this clear to me, but the accent and the pronunciation was pissing me off lol
Be that as it may, I recommend this if you are into BL and have a couple of hours to waste.

I did it again lol
I knew this is not for me yet I watched it, because of the reviews and I though this might not be too weird after all, I laugh at scenes that are by no mean funny and the overall forcing stuff and manhandling doesn't appeal to me but I could deal with it because no matter how far they go, It always looks fake.
My biggest concern was the idea itself, I'm not used to the culture there, but I thought slavery has ended everywhere. People are talking about second wife and I don't know if it's legal or not, dude!! They literally made her became a uterus lmao
Her whole use and importance in life is that she has a uterus and she will bear a child for 9 freakin month and disappear or go anywhere it doesn't matter xD
This is seriously degrading to the limit that I don't know how any woman could think this is ok even in a drama, but, it's only a drama after all so let's not be overdramatic here.
Definitely not recommended at all, never! Don't!! Stop and turn around!!! Run!!!!!!!

This is not a slice of life drama, it's based on manga, I get your point and I'd agree or disagree with you if we were discussing this for a drama like Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu or Stepmother and daughter blues, or even a movie like Yume no ataeru but this is so superficial to be dealt with as a projection or reflection of the Japanese reality.
things in dramas got worse lately, hell yes everywhere not only in Japan, in other countries too.
I judge each drama by itself, I don't care enough to get too close to what it reflects, but overall I don't fully disagree with you, I just don't think too much about it like you do.

I have seen worse outside Japan, believe me, but still I can't stomach these ideas as live actions, if someone told me they love this as manga or anime I wouldn't mind that much, because ok everyone is free and I have my own demons, but seeing real people -even if it's just acting- being sexually harassed, nope this shouldn't be naturalized, well, not like this.
BUT let's not be overdramatic and just judge this as a drama, it's not real after all.

So... What's the point!!
I can't see or understand any artistic idea in this at all.
Whatever fucked up idea of love the director wanted to show could be expressed in another way than this, this is totally and utterly ridiculous and stupid.

I stumbled upon this drama by chance while searching for something and the title caught my eye -and I love Rin and Kei- so I jumped on board.
I thought it'd be a little boring but it was a nice one, just dragged a little at the last few episodes maybe it was longer than necessary because the main couple's story and characters were just annoying to me -and they are the main reason I watched this lol- their whole relationship was in the grey ruled by misunderstandings and instability. The second leads story developed smoothly and predictably, well, the whole drama was predictable tbh from the first 5 second of it.
What I couldn't stomach was 1-Kei's shirts and ties, they are horrendous, 2- the love at first sight, I could never ever get it lol
Overall it was Ok, recommended if you have nothing else interesting to watch.

The only story that was interesting to me was Eun-jung's, because it was the only one tickling a serious issue yet it had less screen time and I believe there was no serious development except at the last 4eps or so and I almost dropped it, but I'm thankful that I didn't because despite the abrupt ending of her story I liked how it ended.
I have to say that I love that director so much, he was kinda weird but I think the character needed to be so since Eun-jung character is also unique lol, it's my first time seeing this actor and I liked him. Whenever they were on screen together they looked so compatible xD same vibes of crazy maybe.
The drama itself lacks a lot and it may get boring at some parts yet it was nice experience watching it, I only wish they explored more of Hyubong's story since he also lives with but I won't complain.

Title Killers
As someone who watched Sei no gekiyaku and lessons of Evil -big fan of the latter- I thought from the plot that this would be more gore and bloody, same as lessons of Evil at least.
But this was actually not that bad, the story started good and slowly unfolding layer by layer but the end is a disappointment really, don't get me wrong the crazy side of this was good and the acting was on point but the second half wasn't what I expected it to turn to, and for Bayu from the hotel scene and his side of the story became unrealistic at all.
I like the scene with the two 2 cops outside the club, I found it slightly funny lol
I don't really know if I should recommend this or not but if you are ok with killing and little bit of crazy torture without thinking too much of how do they get away with it, this is the movie for you.

J-drama is really huge in the 90's until the start of "Korean Wave". Especially in Southeast Asia, China, and…
My intention was Europe and maybe the US, more outside Asia I mean,so we are practically still on the same page.

I think the reasons why most pre-2010 Japanese dramas are more popular because before that time Asian dramas wasn't that famous outside and from mid 2000s I believe it started to became popular, most of people I know all began to be a Jdrama fans from watching Hana yori dango, Hana Kimi and Ita kiss.
And they also recommend most of them for others who are not yet into Asian dramas, I even found some people knows about Hana Kimi or ita kiss without even watching them.
So, being first and recommendations

The second reason IMO is probably because all the dramas you listed as popular here -and other of course- were so good and unique like classic movies that you never get bored with and you can watch them all the time, they are timeless gems, and that's why they made many remakes from same/other countries, and it might be only my opinion but I think all the originals are much better than the remakes, though I LOVED the remake of Ita kiss, but the original feels different, feels more special.
That's why I believe the pre2010 dramas are more popular.

This pretty much tickled some serious issues for 16YO kids, some of them are not common tbh yet I could remember seeing -and being- like some of the characters here.
The only fall down here is that the whole world of these teenagers are just the school, classroom to be specific, no adult presented in this made it somehow unrealistic, most of it I'd be like, "where are her parents?" Or "why couldn't he just talk to his dad" or something like that. Adults are there or a reason.
Even with no parents, teachers are there -well, supposedly they are lol-
Overall, it wasn't bad.
