I watched the first ep thinking the stpry was interestin uk cool still debating abt if i want to continue it or…
Maybe because it was the least predictable story that I found it more interesting, but to be honest the others story was really predictable, and half way through and I was able to know how everything will end.
It is not deserved only to Japanes, bt it's more extreme and open here, sorry to say, ,but there are more demand…
Look, my friend, I'm just watching dramas and saying my opinion about them and sometimes recommend what I like so that people who read my comment would have an idea before deciding to watch or not, I'm not here to judge a whole country culture and what became of it from a manga live action because this here is nothing, compared to some other stories, this is not the worst out there, If you want to talk about it, be my guest and if you want to share opinions I'm more than happy to do so, I'm really open minded and respect different opinions freely, I've seen my fair share of odd weird bizarre dramas and movies, so yea, I know about the "culture" you are talking about and we can talk about it for hours, just not here, I'm just stating an opinion here, that's it.
Not bad, just plain. There is nothing wrong with it it's just too short and there is no compact storyline that's it, so it seems all over the place but it is not bad, the acting is good and not cheesy. What annoyed me was when the Jun Cheng speaks Korean and they answers back in Chinese and vise versa, I know they sometimes reply in the same language, maybe if I wasn't speaking one of those languages it wouldn't be this clear to me, but the accent and the pronunciation was pissing me off lol Be that as it may, I recommend this if you are into BL and have a couple of hours to waste.
I did it again lol I knew this is not for me yet I watched it, because of the reviews and I though this might not be too weird after all, I laugh at scenes that are by no mean funny and the overall forcing stuff and manhandling doesn't appeal to me but I could deal with it because no matter how far they go, It always looks fake. My biggest concern was the idea itself, I'm not used to the culture there, but I thought slavery has ended everywhere. People are talking about second wife and I don't know if it's legal or not, dude!! They literally made her became a uterus lmao Her whole use and importance in life is that she has a uterus and she will bear a child for 9 freakin month and disappear or go anywhere it doesn't matter xD This is seriously degrading to the limit that I don't know how any woman could think this is ok even in a drama, but, it's only a drama after all so let's not be overdramatic here. Definitely not recommended at all, never! Don't!! Stop and turn around!!! Run!!!!!!!

This is not a slice of life drama, it's based on manga, I get your point and I'd agree or disagree with you if we were discussing this for a drama like Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu or Stepmother and daughter blues, or even a movie like Yume no ataeru but this is so superficial to be dealt with as a projection or reflection of the Japanese reality. things in dramas got worse lately, hell yes everywhere not only in Japan, in other countries too. I judge each drama by itself, I don't care enough to get too close to what it reflects, but overall I don't fully disagree with you, I just don't think too much about it like you do.
It is not deserved only to Japanes, bt it's more extreme and open here, sorry to say, ,but there are more demand…
I have seen worse outside Japan, believe me, but still I can't stomach these ideas as live actions, if someone told me they love this as manga or anime I wouldn't mind that much, because ok everyone is free and I have my own demons, but seeing real people -even if it's just acting- being sexually harassed, nope this shouldn't be naturalized, well, not like this. BUT let's not be overdramatic and just judge this as a drama, it's not real after all.
So... What's the point!! I can't see or understand any artistic idea in this at all. Whatever fucked up idea of love the director wanted to show could be expressed in another way than this, this is totally and utterly ridiculous and stupid.
I stumbled upon this drama by chance while searching for something and the title caught my eye -and I love Rin and Kei- so I jumped on board. I thought it'd be a little boring but it was a nice one, just dragged a little at the last few episodes maybe it was longer than necessary because the main couple's story and characters were just annoying to me -and they are the main reason I watched this lol- their whole relationship was in the grey ruled by misunderstandings and instability. The second leads story developed smoothly and predictably, well, the whole drama was predictable tbh from the first 5 second of it. What I couldn't stomach was 1-Kei's shirts and ties, they are horrendous, 2- the love at first sight, I could never ever get it lol Overall it was Ok, recommended if you have nothing else interesting to watch.
The only story that was interesting to me was Eun-jung's, because it was the only one tickling a serious issue yet it had less screen time and I believe there was no serious development except at the last 4eps or so and I almost dropped it, but I'm thankful that I didn't because despite the abrupt ending of her story I liked how it ended. I have to say that I love that director so much, he was kinda weird but I think the character needed to be so since Eun-jung character is also unique lol, it's my first time seeing this actor and I liked him. Whenever they were on screen together they looked so compatible xD same vibes of crazy maybe. The drama itself lacks a lot and it may get boring at some parts yet it was nice experience watching it, I only wish they explored more of Hyubong's story since he also lives with but I won't complain.
As someone who watched Sei no gekiyaku and lessons of Evil -big fan of the latter- I thought from the plot that this would be more gore and bloody, same as lessons of Evil at least. But this was actually not that bad, the story started good and slowly unfolding layer by layer but the end is a disappointment really, don't get me wrong the crazy side of this was good and the acting was on point but the second half wasn't what I expected it to turn to, and for Bayu from the hotel scene and his side of the story became unrealistic at all. I like the scene with the two 2 cops outside the club, I found it slightly funny lol I don't really know if I should recommend this or not but if you are ok with killing and little bit of crazy torture without thinking too much of how do they get away with it, this is the movie for you.
I think the reasons why most pre-2010 Japanese dramas are more popular because before that time Asian dramas wasn't that famous outside and from mid 2000s I believe it started to became popular, most of people I know all began to be a Jdrama fans from watching Hana yori dango, Hana Kimi and Ita kiss. And they also recommend most of them for others who are not yet into Asian dramas, I even found some people knows about Hana Kimi or ita kiss without even watching them. So, being first and recommendations
The second reason IMO is probably because all the dramas you listed as popular here -and other of course- were so good and unique like classic movies that you never get bored with and you can watch them all the time, they are timeless gems, and that's why they made many remakes from same/other countries, and it might be only my opinion but I think all the originals are much better than the remakes, though I LOVED the remake of Ita kiss, but the original feels different, feels more special. That's why I believe the pre2010 dramas are more popular.
This pretty much tickled some serious issues for 16YO kids, some of them are not common tbh yet I could remember seeing -and being- like some of the characters here. The only fall down here is that the whole world of these teenagers are just the school, classroom to be specific, no adult presented in this made it somehow unrealistic, most of it I'd be like, "where are her parents?" Or "why couldn't he just talk to his dad" or something like that. Adults are there or a reason. Even with no parents, teachers are there -well, supposedly they are lol- Overall, it wasn't bad.
I'm not into the Yakuza movies but I love Go ayano and I read someone's comment here to watch it right now without hesitation and I found myself immediately watching it lol. It could be better tbh, it's 2 hours 15 and yet it was so fast paced, they didn't show how the Yakuza treat their brothers, as far as they showed only Yamamoto with his friends before and after they became Yakuza so I can't really understand the loyalty he showed everyone, also the romantic aspect of his life was so dull, the whole movie goes like, they show a scene and we should understand that it -supposedly- has deep emotions in it and we should get them but I couldn't feel any emotions from any character to the other, the only character I could understand his behaviour was tsubasa -and later hosono, dude did a great job- beside that none. It's a good fast paced drama about the Yakuza, that is it, you can skip it if you want.
It's a basic romance drama of a rich/poor impossible love -And it depends on the writer to make it with happy or sad end- this one has nothing exceptional about it yet it is very enjoyable and the characters were well written and realistic. Recommended for basic rom-drama lovers.
I only watched this because of Lusi and I'm not regretting it, the first ep kinda put me off but it became better by the second ep, the first half of the drama was good then -like most Chinese dramas- it dragged too much in the second half. I don't hate it but I didn't like it very much tbh, I skipped most of the second half but overall it wasn't bad.
Amazing!!! I enjoyed every minute. It was very good and the ending was fine, I think I prefer it to an unrealistically happy/sad end. I LOVE Do-hoon he is super cute and he reminds me of Ahn Eun-jin whom I am a fan of, they look so similar that I can't help but love him more I wish to see him and Sang-nam together in a drama they were a perfect duo and I loved their friendship here. I think this is how rom-com Kdramas should be, it has no boring scenes not unnecessarily long episodes and for a fantasy drama the ending was realistic and acceptable. I'm not saying it's the best kdrama out there but it just missing everything that I get annoyed with in Kdramas lately which made it special and highly recommended.
