I would say that the CGI so far with a couple of exceptions is really good. There is a dragon scene that looks straight out of a western drama. Cdrmaas are known for their bad cgi so seeing such good CGI was a pleasant suprise. Cinematography is also really beautiful especially the action scenes are well shot. As for the acting I am finding that all the actors so far are playing their roles very well. Especially the leads played byXiao Zhan and Zhu Yan. Their is some excellent eye acting going on between both actors especially in the emotional scenes.

Those people watched the first 2 episodes and said CGI was bad. If they kept watching hey would have seen how much it improves

Yeah it based on the mirror twin books. The novel on which this is based is the prequel to mirror twinc cities.

Yeah. Her name is Bai yan so she was also from the Bai clan. In fact Bai Xuelu and Bai Xueying are her nieces. I know it won't happen but it would be interesting to see why it is that only Bai clan daughters can become the empress. Maybe there was some political manoeuvring happening with Shiying's ancestors.

I think he might do both. It can be seen that right now there is a trend of actors doing both film and drama. The film market proved to be unstable during the pandemic and many movie stars turned to act in dramas. It is better to have a foothold in both areas. At least that would be my opinion. Xz has also suprised me with his choice of roles but I anticipate each one for the suprises that it brings.

It does and also I think that the current hairstyle shown (the high pony tail hair style) really suits her. I am really enjoying Zhu Yan and Shifu interactions.
