From what I can remember cctv 1 is for news and 2 is for finance. Cctv 3 for variety shows. cctv 6 airs films. Jade dynasty is airing on it today again. Cctv 8 is mainly for dramas.
Rather than replaced it's more like XZ isn’t interested now also he has to give time to his new movie so not…
What I din't understand is that it is clear that xz is not playing in doulou 2 and JOL 2 but they still have to keep using his name for publicity. Honestly feel sad that xz is being used like this.
I’m sure I missed something.. why did Uisung leave the palace? Also I can’t remember any other drama where…
I think it may be because he has come of age. In the second or first episode, the queen says that the princes leave the palace when they come of age and get married. I figured that is why he left.
1) I love the relationship portrayed between the king and queen. Also I think that the king purposely chooses concubines from among the palce maids who even when elevated up whould not cause trouble to the queen. As the queen is from a low ranking noble family and it would cause trouble if he takes in concubines from high ranking families. I hope we get to see a spin off of the king and queen's relationship and how they turned from a arranged marriage to a love marriage.
2) I also need a spin off showing Prince Hodong and Ilyong's foodie adventures. Also I love how supportive Prince Hodong's mom is. She let me join the selection even though he was too young because he wanted too.
3) I like the relationship between Prince Seongnam and ministers daughter and just hope that whole sunset scene was not forbodying her death. Hope the writers keep the couple together till the end.
4) It would have been nice if they showed that the king had a few daughters as well. I know the cast is large but couldn't they have fit in at least one princess in there.
5) The last concubine is sus. The way she keeps instigating consort Tae. And since it was mentioned that she was found in QD quarters, I wouldn't be surprised if she was a spy.
Overall I love this drama so much. It has been a long time since I kept anticipating episodes of a sageuk drama. Kim Hye Soo is phenomenal and her eyebrows alone deserve an award.
How is this drama related to A Tale of Twins cities??
This drama is based on the novel Zhu Yan which is the prequel to the Mirror twin cities novel. Therefore this drama comes before the Twin cities drama if you are interested in the drama order. The books are part of a trilogy as far as I know.
