I think many people seem to be viewing Zanghai through the lenses of the tomb raider wang zanghai who was known as the super strategist and genius builder. Therefore they expect zanghai to be the same, despite the fact that there is no direct connection at all. Zanghai is still learning and making mistakes but what makes him different is his ability to adapt and learn to control the situation. Like this character does have to learn how to control his emotions and that is what makes this story interesting. Furthermore Zanghai waited 10 years to take revenge, he is not going to it do it in 2 episodes

I would actually attribute the difference to her being from a different state. She comes from Dongxia which is a matriarchal country and she was a princess there. Even her hairstyle reflects that, kept down when compared to other female characters.
