I just finished watching a drama based in the Ming Dynasty where based on the words of the Head of the Imperial Astronomer, a noble consort was driven to death so am looking forward to see how powerful Zhinu becomes and how he enacts his revenge.

I am really looking forward to what hopefully seems to be an enemies fo lover dyanamics. I am basing this from the part in the trailer where they showed her with a dagger and him with a crossbow.

Someone who read the novel tell me whether the pei dafu adopted son plot was also in the novel or it is something made up for the drama? Also the plot of this drama is a total melodrama. I started thinking it is going to be a serious gothic romance drama but ended up getting this melodramatic plot. Am still going to keep watching though.

So I completed watching upto episode 12 and the veteran actors are so good especially the actresses playing Madam Zhuang and Concubine Zhou. I especially loved the little flash back of Young Mafam Zhuang and Yuan Chengan. Chen Duling has really improved but the male lead feels a bit stiff.

I am trying to figure out what Han Yan's ultiamte goal is cause that part doesn't seem to have been explained yet.

So I read 16 chapters of the novel before watching the first episode and it seems like they were just inspired by the story rather than adapting it like they did for The Double. First episode was great although I might stop reading the novel as I am getting confused with the differences shown especially the female leads mother.

Actually the name change sounds good. When I google searched for this drama, the korean drama kept popping up.

Can't wait to watch this. He Hongshan really excels playing villain roles. Also can someone tell me how the synopsis has changed from the original novel.

Oh I understand. Thank you again for your hard work😃

Thank you so much for this. This must have taken ages. Although I do have to ask do you have a doc or an excel sheet separating them according to dynasties as the order is a bit confusing.

Do you even know about wuxia movies. Special erfects are used to show off the internal energy, martial arts in wuxia is not making fist to fist contact martial arts that you think about. Also stop bringing stuff here from the douban when the movie is not even released internationally.
Also people who support this movie already knew that this movie was not going to be the box office champion especially since it was against strong sequels. Seeing it get good reviews and good enough box office is enough for us.

Seriously the movie has been out for one day and only released in chinad and hong kong and already people are rating it low on here and ibdmb

Where did you watch it and why do you call it bad?

Thank you

Can someone please change the name to "The Legend of Condr Heroes: The Gallants" as that is the official name

I see. The storyline and the acting might not have been the best, but the movie is enjoyable and was a box office sucess, which is what matters mainly.

I would like to disagree that his first movie, Zhu Xian was not successful. It made 400 million box office on a 40 million budget. It also won the mid autumn championship so by all accounts it did well very well for a small budget film.

The cast has to be updated here. Wanda Margaf is not in the cast

Oh thank you. That makes more sense.

Is this drama set in the ming dyansty or a drama inspired by the ming dynasty like The Double was inspired by the Song dynasty. Am aksing cause while the men's clothing looks set in theming dynasty, the women's especially Zhang Jingyi's do not look like ming dynasty clothes.

I mean her brother. Cause earlier they mention that lady ok has a brother but they don't show him.
