Since they are already done with filming and its a very short drama, so pre-production shouldn't take longer than a month, how high are the chances it will come early 2026? Or better yet, by the end of this year?
This is not the best written drama but it has some of the most iconic moments in K-drama land in the past 2 years or so. Whenever I start to feel bored, it always manages to surprise me. Ep 8 ending gave us the best action sequence in Kdrama history. And proved why everyone was going gaga over this show after Ep1.
I think it's a nice show but 12 eps would have worked better. I also am not feeling Dongju's character, it's only Park Bogum's steller acting that he is agreeable enough for me. Overall, Good Boy is not the best show but certainly one of the best in recent years and it really stands out from other kdramas, specially because of its athletes turned cops plot + great characterization and focus on each character.
The first half of the episode was a bit slow but damn did it pick up pace later on!! Park Bo gum totally stole the show. I was pleasantly surprised by Lee Sangyi and other supporting actors. Also I am happy that Sohyun got ample screentime.
The last 20 minutes or so of the show were crazy, I loved the way everything came together. It felt like I was watching a movie lol. Very entertaining 1st episode but I wish they didn't have that stupid love triangle, idk why that's always a must for Sohyun dramas lol. Anyways the drama seems very promising and I hope it doesn't randomly drop in quality.
Is it just me or the the trailer didn't match the synopsis at all.. they just seem like college rivals. Plus in the trailer she seemed interested in meeting with his mom for some reason but there's nothing like that in the synopsis
She is actually lucky to be cast aside a top actor.. Most of her prev male leads were just meh.. Now after the…
She got a Baeksang nomination and multiple best actress awards for RWTMR. It even hit double digit ratings and would have gone higher if it wasn't for Jisoo's controversy. Love Alarm was one of the first Netflix originals among kdramas and is a popular show, def more popular than Encounter or ROY that ppl don't even remember now. It wasn't well received but everyone was talking about it when it came out.
PBG being her most popular co-star doesn't mean anything. She has had hits before with lesser known actors. Just goes on to show how popular she is. In fact, her most critically acclaimed drama is River Where The Moon Rises, a female centric drama.

Tale of Nokdu, RWTMR, Love Alarm, Who Are You, Let's Fight Ghost. There you go, 5 Sohyun dramas hit dramas. And no we are no exaggerating if we say she is too big to be playing second lead and neither are we being disrepectful to PBG unlike you who believes Sohyun is lucky to be playing female lead against him.

The fact that you quoted me after WLGYT's success says it all lmao. He is a top actor and she is ALSO a top actress. She is the highest paid child actress and is one of the most popular actresses in her 20s. Before Tangerines, PBG also had meh projects, Encounter and ROY weren't hits. I am not denying that PBG is more popular or successful but y'all need to stop acting like Sohyun is some nugu who got lucky when she has a ton of hit dramas under her belt and is the youngest Baeksang best actress nominee. Put some respect on her name.
She might be popular, but sheโs not too big to take on secondary roles yet. This is likely because she hasnโt…
Park Bogum pulls in the ratings no doubt but in no world is KSH so inferior to be playing second lead to him. She might not have commerical successes in the past few years but she's an established actress and had always carried her hit projects. Anyway, I don't want to turn this into a PBG vs KSH debate. I like Bogum. Just hope Sohyun gets her well deserved screentime and focus.
Happy that this will have some romance but I am a bit disappointed cuz so far all the material that's been teased makes it seem like Sohyun's character is just gonna be a love interest for the male lead. They didn't show her much in the highlight and it was 10 mins long. I knew it was going to be a male centric, Park Bogum focused drama but Sohyun is too big to be playing second lead to him imo. I hope they will prove me wrong and she has her own story outside of the love triangle.
So I just found out that Gong Yoo's The Trunk which also happens to have arranged marriage trope is also coming to Netflix next month.. and only a WEEK after this! ๐ญ๐ญ
I am not a fan of the leads but I really want this drama to do well. I like the plot and chemistry and I know they can act. But I am not sure if they compete with Gong Yoo's star power.
Since Trunk is only an OTT drama, Netflix could have delayed it by 2-3 weeks so WTPR could be halfway done and also have established its own audience by its release. Yoo YeonSeok is a big celebrity. I think the viewers will be torn between the two dramas in at least Korea.
It's all over IG reels lol. Tencent did absolutely zero promo for this but it is gaining some traction due to IG reels. It was uploaded on a relatively small channel, not on Wetv official channel and Ep 1 has gained150k views in 7 days. Not much I know but it's still surprising to see cuz the viewers here are only 1k lol.
