I’m sorry, but what the Chinese Entertainment industry is doing to its artists needs to stop. And those who…
The thing is, he is not and has explained it like a thousand times, now how does people still saying you are abnormally thin help? And how is that not shaming?! He has been built like this since childhood ( and not after he debuted) , also if he had the worrisome symptoms of a serious condition like cancer, he wouldn't probably need the others to point that out to him, he is of the age to know when he should seek medical help for himself... and well..apparantly many do enjoy his acting and don't mind his physical features, those who don't simply skip his dramas
Excuse me, why so many ppl suddenly attack or body shaming LYX? For me, he is still the same from Ashes of Love…
I've suddenly lost the sense of what century we're living in😶 with some people still actually criticizing body size, shape and color....I understand if it's just not someone's taste, but there should be no tolerance for actual shaming.
At first I thought this wasn't my cup of tea since I usually prefer my historicals to be epic, mostly serious and dramatic🤭 but ended up giving it a chance and now I'm enjoying it much more than I thought I would. I guess It's LYX..he somehow manages to engage me with his characters and dramas everytime, even if they're not of my usual taste. Up until now he's the only cdrama actor who does that for me..that's very interesting and powerful on his part since at first he was not even what I would consider my ideal type ( based on physical features) but his way with his characters made me follow his work and now I find him very attractive the way he is...
Now I really strongly believe avenue x got prejudice against Wang Xing Yue and she probably hated the first impression…
Aside from the things I find very subjective in her reviews, she seems to be ignoring some important aspect of this particular character which is the one aspect that actually makes it unique and made me appreciate WXY's acting in the first place; It's the fact that only half of his background is military while the the other half ( his mom) was a SINGER..and he's literally spent years of his childhood in solitude watching theater and shows. You can't expect a character like this to turn out say like ling buyi ( 100% military characteristics) , I actually really liked the delicate way in which he seemed to carry his mom's soul within him somehow, while being a duke and a military man in execution. That was the one thing that actually attracted me to XH's character.
Why do people say it's a sad ending? The guy literally flies. The FL survived a burial, can't he survive a skirmish?…
Ikr.. soooo much trying to find logic in the last scene while logic was not the strongest point of this drama from the get go. Artistic flair, effective use of metaphors and symbols were the strongest points.
well, my thought she was dreaming. Duke Su was alone fighting at the end so how can he survive, that part doesn't…
Honestly, we didn't see a lot of things in this drama yet still believe they happened. That's just what this director does, Like we don't know how an already unconcious woman can dig out her way out of a grave. We didn't see how exactly XH knew that SYR was not who he seemed to be. We didn't see their first kiss ( the highly popular candle🤭) ...yet they all happened. So not really hard to imagine XH survived too. He already killed the commander of enemy army, so we don't know how the army could've reacted, also he's different from his father who was backstabbed and left alone in the battlefield to die, he has his emperor and allies behind him and they won't leave him alone. He picked up his jade pendant after it was torn and dropped, and I see that as a metaphor. Also, if xh's return to her was XFF's dream, she could as well see or imagine his head at least😅 but they just showed us the pendant, they showed that for us to know, since she couldn't possibly see it from afar.

This was a very good drama and deserves it's ratings and accolades. That said, the last episode is pretty much…
Actually the ending was not the first suspension of disbelief in this drama, it never was that realistic but mostly artistic.I mean this started with a woman who was hit in the head digging her way out of a grave..that kinda set the chances of survival pretty high🤭 That being said, I see the ending scenes as how they chose to show us the possibility of a reunion vs how it would've looked for real. Somehow similar to the kiss behind the candle, like they're telling us "u should know that this happened ( kiss or the reunion) but u're not privy to know how exactly"..just the director's style. For me the jade pendant does the talking. Him picking it up again after being torn and keeping it at all cost to take it back, and then the close up of it on the horse, that's that....
Apparantly some are dissatisfied with the whole battle scenario in the end and feel that it's random, while I…
I think the ending battle was supposed to be a conclusion to XH's arc as a stand alone character; a parallel to the battle of his father, who in his words hadn't been killed in the war, but died due to being left alone. We know that the difference here is that XH is not gonna be left alone even if all his men die( allowing him a different ending and fulfillment in his arc ). He has a loyal friend as his emperor, his allies in the palace with his personal enemies and backstabbers already gone. So now he only has one promise to fulfill; and that's to bfing back his wife's jade pendant safely with him..
Apparantly some are dissatisfied with the whole battle scenario in the end and feel that it's random, while I also do think it's a little rushed but I see reason in it; maybe this helps👇
He didn't. He did die that day, but that day was at least 8 years in to the future, they had a happy married life.…
While I respect and even like your takes, the symbolism doesn't seem quite right. First about how he survived, we don't know what happened there actually, so we can't tell, and it's not a new thing in this series, like in ep 1, what were really the chances of xff surviving?! If we didn't have the rest of the drama that would've been even more unbelieveable than xh surviving. About the spirit rushing to her, if she has died years later after him, it doesn't make sence that she's the one waiting and him rushing to her ( not to mention we could've seen his face and not the pendant implying that it he did bring it back to her, they don't need such things in afterlife). It should've been the other way around . Also the use of colors and a full blossoming tree aren't symbolisms usually used in implying death. (Also if the battle happened 8 years in the future, and their spirits reunited years after, there should've atleast been a sign of their child in this whole thing)
No not at all. It's good ending without the extra episode. It's a satisfactory ending with Duke returning.
I think and feel so too ( I even like the actual ending more than the bonus one ). But apparantly there are many people who interpret it differently mostly due to XH's almost impossible situation at the war.
How and why does this sound so daaamn intimate?!😅🤭
