Guys can someone please spoil me on the ending? Like as detailed as possible , not just BE or HE...

Just things to point out, as to why I already said those who see the ending as happy, have valid points and also to explain your points:
1- I see the ending as a hopeful open ending WHITHOUT the plus 5 mins. So that's really not what I rely on here. ( the jade pendant is all I need to confirm for my assuption, since he can be an illusion but not the pendant only we the audience can see and not A li)
2- We don't know how long it actually took him to come back. ( in the novel the emperor hides him for a year after the war, again..open to interpretation. And well u know.. he's the same guy who got like 4-5 cuts all over his body in eps 39-40 , yet he walked, talked and fought like those wounds were nothing)
3- That's a law of war. Whether they apply it or not is not really my discussion here but it's just one definite indication of defeat. For example, an entire army of safe and sound 100, can be considered defeated by doesn't matter how many if the source of their food or weapon is destroyed or lost. That's how defeat is defined in the art and law of war. The marching army were far and can't just go by the assuption that their commander 'might' be dead, so ofcourse they march forward. At this point, killing xh doesn't change the fate of the war, since they cant go further or enter the capital without a leader and have to back off nonethless. They've lost. I see reason in showing specifically that xh fought the leader and killed him. He could be shown as just another soldier xh defeated
And then the rest of army marching, or even worse, the leader coming with the remaining army. But that was not the case.
All this said, I can still understand if someone wants to see or interpret differently, but that's just preference...neither are facts, merely assumpsions we make based on information given, symbols, narrative hints, etc...

I'm still baffled at how some of the audience think it 'impossible' for xh to have survived that war and yet totally buy how xff survived the first episode in the first place. Like if we are to use that much logic, how on earth was that even possible for an already unconcious person ( hit so hard on the head with a shovel, I mean that alone could kill) to find her way out of a grave?! I think xh 's possibility of survival is much higher, since it was implied that he didn't take the capital's entire military capacity with him, so it's possible help came for him at last minute. Also he clearly killed their commander, which already means defeat for the opposite army. I guess, in the end everyone just sees it the way they want to, but those who see it as a happy ending also have valid points, not just some happy romantic delusions.

Ikr! I've been actually waiting for that one..the posters and shots all look so gorgeous but sadly no news at all about it ..It's also a different setting and genre which is a good thing for him as an actor. I really hope they release it soon

Actually, the existence of such clip doesn't 'prove' anything, it is just an alternative take and shot, ( a glimse of it had even made it to one of the ost mvs even before the full clip was released by his agency) there are usually numerous of those ( for promotional purposes, character highlights, alternative interpretations..) that are put aside in the editing stage.
( Also in the novel as you mentioned, they believe XH is dead and someone brings the pendant back to XFF..but then it is revealed that he was saved and comes back, it's possible they were just going for that since there actually are some clips of a hug in XH's mansion with JL in that red dress which didn't make it to the drama)

I'm also disappointed with the latest episodes and lost potentials or missed opportunities really get to me too..I hope we at least get some satisfying closure.

Difference of perspective may be then😁 I don't get that as I said, he's conflicted yes but that he dislikes her?! Not at all.

They definitely don't behave like newlyweds but I didn't get disgust and betrayal etc, I get that he clearly cares about her... but he was always quite subtle with his feelings for her, I knew almost from the start that he had other priorities, also as someone who does not really recognize expressions or see the faces, it's spot on not to show the right reactions all the time specially when conflicted.
Aside from that, there definitely are many things wrong with the way their relationship is being written ( or even filmed for that matter),
I see them behaving as those married for years and I think that at least is a little bit intentional and will probably backfire on them, they've got to learn that u don't stop nurishing love once into the married life and day to day struggles or big investigations.

That seems to be subjective..since I for one felt they were on fire! Even without so much screen time or intimate scenes, I ate up every single stare, wordplay, handholding, etc between the two of them. Maybe because gaps don't really matter to me as long as they're both adults, he's definitely not a toddler lol

That's what I was trying to say, they don't actually 'make' two alternate endings. In the shooting stage, some alternate shots are almost always taken, just to see how it looks when edited or to use them in promos and character stills for intrigue. Then in the editing process, shots are included and excluded by choice and/or according to the script. Once an episode is finalized, the rest of the shots remain only as footages which may or may not be in sync with the ultimate product. They did decide on one ending and that's what's been shown in the episode. But I agree that releasing the excluded/unused footage at this point was competely unnecessary.
( ofcourse this is my own experience from editing process for film and drama, so this might not be the case for this particular one, just what I know about how things usually work)

I think the happy and sad ending were bothe alternatives, and the director took liberties in shooting different scenes to put together as the ending he finally preferred, which happens for many dramas and movies. I don't think either were necessarily the plan A, just different alternatives he chose from in the end.

It is an illusion, although more of a symbolized depction of an actual HE, not a dream or imagination. The director likes playing with symbols, like the scene where A Li shot an arrow to SYR, and we saw both her and XH doing it while that wasn't the actual case, or like the scene with her playing the qin.He prefers to captures the feeling and depict it on screen instead of capturing the real actual scene.

So basically you're not only accusing him of not being aware of his own health and condition, but also accusing almost everyone close and dear to him ( including his family and friends) of 'pushing' him,benefitting from him and not caring about him , and aaalll that just by watching him as a fan... you're right, you've really taken being a 'real and good' fan to some new levels. I've got nothing more to say to you as I believe neither of us can truly understand the other.

You don't seem to understand what I'm saying here. We're simply not the parent, you said it yourself, he already has people who are much more closer to him personally to know if he has any problems or not. He works hard for his acting projects and appreciation for his talents and hard work is what he needs from the fans. I don't think your not watching the result of an entire groups work only because of the body weigh of one has any impact on that person. And even if it does, it just hurts him/her that their hard work has been overlooked because of how they look. He most definitely doesn't owe me anything, although it appears more so that he owes you his own weigh 🙄 Tbh, not even proffesional doctors diagnose the way you do, just by looking at the guy or girl.

No, I enjoy his acting and don't think it's my place to point out his health issues to him, I'm neither his family or a friend close to him which he has both. And do you know that all of those people you named get worse when people can't look at them beyond their physical condition?
( nonetheless, I don't believe he is anorexic, since he cooks and enjoys all kinds of food in many of his videos and bts. And about any other condition I'm just sure he has enough people who care about him to make sure he's fine,
Also during sunshine and AOL years he was just younger aside from that he was always thin.)
