Zhou Ye (I think they prefer Zhou Ye, and have since June (perhaps because she's more angelic and also manages…
I know but I believe Dai Luwa is also capable of that, and she's a little bit more mature looking (she's an overall better actress imo but that can be subjective)...anyways..let's see how it goes
It's like the beginning of Kill Me Love Me, with Liu Xue Yi and Wu Jin Yian.
I've watched that and while an unpopular opinion, it's actually one of my faves ..but the novel for this begins with a veeeery spicy scene lol...that's what I meant not the more general sexy enemies to lovers
Could we assume that his hair will be turn half black and white again after some time, then turn to white again.Bcs,…
U've read the script leaks for these two? Can u spoil me? What happens between these 2 in upcoming episodes, do we ever get anything even a little bit more tangible?
She feels so useless, because she as a character has no goals and needs other than Tang Lici... not a very good…
She HAS choices and motivations, that's what I'm saying😅 we see her differently...I'm not admiring her, I'm saying she's developed as a character since the beginning of the drama.. Anyways, I hope u can still at least enjoy the writing of the story and her character in the upcoming eps...
She feels so useless, because she as a character has no goals and needs other than Tang Lici... not a very good…
Actually that's the difference in our outlooks, I see TLC and her as almost equally dependent on each other by now...on different levels, so yeah..there's that.. Also I don't see my contentment with A Shui for now as having less expectations of quality, but rather different expectations..because she does already give me that sense of individuality ( as a woman who was going to be married off against her will and with such traumatic baggage, she's shown enough inner strength and being in control of her own fate ever since to me )
She feels so useless, because she as a character has no goals and needs other than Tang Lici... not a very good…
Well that's your point of view... the strong or damsel in distress type are such black and white character descriptions, it's like comparing a financially independent, working woman with a financially dependent home maker in modern context, and thinking the latter is 'useless' simply because she is dependent on a male...CY said in another episode, if A shei was here she would make this a feast...that's the point of her being a d strength right there..being a presence which spreads warmth and comfort for those around her, without any super fighting abilities or extraordinary ambition, she's quite normal and real in a world of competition among the best of the best..She's about caring for those she cares about the way she can, which is quite similar with TLC...just diff abilities... So the feel of 'uselessness' is quite subjective
Hmm..I find it interesting how many people have interpreted this movie.. Many have read between the lines to see through Ming's identity and ZYX's sexuality ( which is definitely alright and one interpretation) , but it seems as almost nobody has seen Ming as a symbol for everything that a teen wants and can not get...I just can't help to see this as more of a coming to terms with sexuality, I mean it's not like nobody knows Ming, she/he is apparantly a quite popular DJ both in social media and real life, so that kinda barely makes the whole thing a secret (not to mention the fluid nature of sexuality and love itself especially at this age), also all the lines with potential ambiguous meaning can be interpreted in several ways, like there seems to be no true one interpretation.. But to see Ming as an untouchable fantasy, which we all know how real they can be atthis age, that's what resonated with me and made this a special coming of age movie... Ming can be anyone, anything..an idol, a fantasy, an ambition, even a sweet lie..u think just by following and associating yourself with it, you may feel the achievement..but that's just an illusion. The real achievement lies in self recognition, personal acceptance and growth, so that one day..u can become one with the dream, become a Ming yourself, at the peak of your own heights at every turn in life...just like ZYX did (despite the disability and once crushed dreams) or what CC did with her family situation and her feelings...
I am the minority who like Ashui, contrary to some who said she add nothing to the story.Honestly, a strong female…
I really enjoy them too... one reason is I've had my share of female general types this year🤭( 5 in a row I think) The other reason is that I like their interactions and get this feeling that they really do have a connection..she's like water to his fire .. and I like that she just does what she can, even though she knows jianghu is not really a place for her. Even if she has ulterior motives, she's not really done anything wrong to our guys for now...so I'm happy with her
Ok..Finally finished..I had to pause due to my exams kicking in, so only read the comments for a while..and god was everyone frustrated😅 I thought maybe I shouldn't continue watching and just cherish what I had till ep 12.. but with ADWAD and female general not catching my interest I ended up finishing this one and I'm glad I did.. Lost potential?! Sure..a very obvious change of pacing and romantic tension/excitment between the 2 half..BUT: Despite losing its momentum and use of probably the most hateful tropes of dramaland🤭, it didn't really get away from what was introduced as main plots or main characters... these two always had their separate things to do while sharing some goals along the way and means, wits and intelligence...the were never meant to become a passionately in love romantic pair, as they were both people who didn't express their real selves and feelings easily...AND that did not magically change with love like some other stories...they were both lone wolves and survivors who just barely learned to work together, and I liked that they never really dropped those edges,..they both also got what they wanted in the end..there were some other points I liked: When u have sth or sone to protect in a cruel world, your good intentions might end up as bad for someone else and vice versa.. Also, no good and bad people, just people making good or bad choices (and someone like the queen just spiraled so downward that role she couldn't even consider other choices anymore) All in all, while the second half was nowhere near good as the first, there was still story progression to shape climax, character and relationships development and consistency..I don't regret watching it till the end and I still like it more than the other 2 shows I was watching...
That is absurd🙄 a mature good actor is always a better choice than a mediocre/weak one whose only quality is being young..Xianxia is not my personal favorite genre but imo LXY is a good actor who can do fine in any genre and type of role..I just wish he gets conventionally stronger scripts..
I have a genuine question, didn't Mrjh also poison himself (the one called Momai or sth)So why did he get to live…
He did, but it was implied early on that the poison worked differently with Mei Lin's body chemistry..most didn't even need the antidote he got from the prince for her..but her body responded differently and the only thing which could save her was lost
This drama is really so underrated! I can't believe that I just finished re-watching this for the third time in…
OMG..finally someone who sees this as I do😍
I love it for what it is, and it's soooo much better in every department than many of this type that have gotten over 8.5 rating... I get that it's mostly due to the fact that people who read the source material were disappointed with the execution (or those who got a different vibe from trailers)..I get it because I was right there standing with them, but then everything changed with the very first episode, Some might argue that they changed character and plot AFTER the first few episodes, but I could see the change right from the beginning and just like that, I tried and got to know the characters introduced by the drama and not the novel and I ended up liking them as they are here... They could've kept the momentum of the first eps yes, they could've taken longer for the FL to uncover what's really happened and make it even more dramatic yes..but they actually tried to give us more changes of status between the 2, for us to know them better devoid of all things that made them become someone they didn't want to. We got to see them as enemies, player and pawn, master and servant, an ordinary couple in love, seemingly stangers, fighters of the same fight (we got to see them insane to sane all the way)..and in all that they still got entangled by love and guilt.. It did serve the purpose of it's own story (and not the nevel's) and did it beautifully imo..
The master of the immortal sword, yeah I had heard about it..that was really unfortunate... What I meant was before your PS note, where u wrote now's the moment (afterwards it won't be possible anymore), just wondered why..
