Some people don’t realize cheating usually starts with emotional cheating. Once you start sharing your feelings, secrets, and attention with someone else, you’re already crossing a line. In the show, for example, they were all 19 and turned 20 on January 1. That happened because of the old system, but since it’s no longer in use, I doubt a second season could follow the same idea. It would also feel strange to focus only on people who share the same birthday just to continue the story. Still, we never know they might find a creative way to change things up.

Whatever character development they will do for ml, I hope it worth it because for now he still remains an unlikeable character
