ML's growth arc was overcoming his grief and fire for revenge of his father's death, but the story kind of did not give that aspect an equal importance. In the novel this was an important arc for the ml and for the cp's relationship. It is a legit criticism that ok there are no fights but what about the emotional deep dive that was stolen from the viewers as well!
