Yeah, i do understand that u want a different approach in the drama from the norm bt i feel like chinese dramas really take safe approach more than making different challenging approach as a different approach can either succeed or fail bcz of its different persepective failing in proper execution & not getting audiences support so safe approach is taken more. Some trope in chinese drama is also not liked by me bt they aren't gonna change anyway as i noticed many other country's entertainment industry has its shortcoming in different aspects too & likewise china has its own we may wish for a change bt it doesn't happen often. BTW i told the cgi having the chance of being good based on the fact that when the trailer was released the shooting didn’t finish with only 1 month shooting so it was decent for that time & there is a chance for natural location shooting for other parts of drama as trailer was for only 1 month shooting & other parts of story could use real location bt let's see what happens.

Actually almost all drama of all genre are like the same type if you compare like that. Xian xia drama with the heavy romance, airhead fl some fight, love triangle etc, typical modern drama with the same romance type ml chases women some misunderstanding, comedy etc & other genres too. Even holywood movies of typical superhero have the same type awesome fight scene, big villains, righteousness, great cgi, not much plot. Spiderman have 3 adaptation with 3 different actors so all know the general story bt people are still watching & it's still popular bcz it's the execution & slight new changes that matters now. If people think like all dramas are same thn won't be able to enjoy any new ones. Since nowadays we won't get much original story bcz all kinds of movies & dramas with different themes have been made so there will always be similarity with others still we like it bcz of the story telling in a different way, different actors interpretation of role. The longest promise already have some advantage as actors are good in acting & looks great where i have seen in some other dramas where people complain about acting or looks. CGI seems like will also be good bcz in the trailer after only 1 month shooting, some of the cgi scenes are great & with 1 year time cgi is going to improve, the drama is s+ so have lot of investment for this we won't face bad cgi bcz of low money. Now comes script actually i read the novel, it has some good part to explore the only bad side was fl was simple minded & the storyline followed her. Bt the drama will focus on ml more & his plotline seems more interesting if the scriptwriter is good thn they can bring out the good parts of novel. U know everyone try to sell drama depending on actors or directors. It's not new & happens for all popular actors. Even in hollywood movie i have seen in trailer mentioning it's the director of.... movie thus trying to sell the director's reputation bt that didn’t make the movie bad, it was still good. The drama is going to be only 40 episode so it won't be much draggy like some previous dramas with 70-80 episodes. As a s+ drama, it will spend a lot of money, after all that do you think tencent won't want to get extra money from passerby & only rely on fans. If only fans money was the intention, then they could just cast xz in a A level drama with low budget & get high money from only fans. The reason for spending large amount of money is that they do want to make a hit drama & earn more money from passerby bt if it'll achieve this goal depends on many things actors, cgi, script, editing & also luck of everything coming together properly. Even some highly expected hollywood movies after trying everything sometime fails bt it also produces good movie too. Likewise any drama xianxia or otherwise has the chance of failing as well as chance of succeeding. We don't know which way this drama will go bt it's better not to have negative mindset or high expectation, let's wait with medium expectation and hope for a surprise of good production.

Bt this drama had been rumored for july for months, i feel like if there is no problem thn tencent will try to air it first. Still everything is just rumors bt i feel the chances of it airing in july is much higher than LLTG.

It's better not to believe any rumor in weibo, it is a place filled with lies. After observing rumors, i have even discovered certain patterns in the rumor making. So don’t believe anything without absolute evidence even like the rumor about new dramas of xz. And yes i am also looking forward to their chemistry, it'll be great.

Bt some of the pics are really etheral like the first pic they posted & the pic used above in a tree. Also in the trailer when xz was in the garden sitting with fl, that one looked great. I think everybody don't need to give much importance to the trailer bcz this trailer was released after only 1 month shooting in tencent conference probably to attract investors. A drama need 4-6 months shooting, so with only 1 month shooting the cgi, costume, story won't be perfect as u will see they don't show much happenings in trailer bcs shooting is not enough yet or the final product. Let's wait for the final trailer. Though it can also be different preferences in look btw cfans seem satisfied with it.

Saw some bts of where dream begins & xz looks really good in this period drama from the few photos, videos i saw, i liked it. Also it's seems like he is also enjoying the filming with li qin, seeing him smiling. Li qin & xz are good friends since 2017 & i have noticed that every major part of xz in c ent, li qin was there like xz's first serious drama as an actor where his acting improved 0 to 50% xz said that - the wolf with li qin, first movie jade dynasty with li qin which also released after xz became famous & promoted with li qin at that time now his first serious period drama with li qin. XZ's theater performance in 2021 where li qin went to support & had dinner with the team. Given their many years of friendship the chemistry will be great & both are good at acting so no need to worry about that hoping the script & editing are also good.

Since u want official rating, here u go, Official cvb for ool got .47 1st day thn increased day by day last episode had .85. So passerby were coming as rating increased everyday & never decreased only increased. So when you said tv viewers decrease 10-20 millions every episode, it never happened & viewers increased everyday shown in rating. Now let's consider that 1% breaking rating means super popular so assume per episode views for 1% breaking dramas will be 50 million, i am counting very low number bcz of u & it'll in reality be much higher, very popular dramas will at least have 50 million tvs watching where china is largest tv market. Thn ool got cvb avg .68. So . 68 of 50mil means 34 million views per episode. Thn with 32 episode on tv it equals total 1088 millions or 1.088 billion but probably more as i counted the least also hunan is a big viewer tv if u search u'll see it. Also tigermom here is not 100% wrong as ool broke 1% in kyuun app of tv rating which is also posted by many big marketing account for all dramas as cvb rating is pretty new started in 2019 & before various apps were used for counting so many marketing account still follow them for various dramas. Bt cvb is more official now still i read in a article that hunan tv cvb is lower than cctv bcz of low beta coefficient used for hunan in counting cvb rating. now online views by the end episode of ool airing it got 3 billion views. Calculate 3 billion online + 1.088 billion tv views equals 4.088 billion views where tv views probably be higher & not even counting people only counting 1 tv per family, each tv in a family means a lot more people watching so if u consider 2-3 people for each tv thn it would have a wider reach which is not even counted here. Yamg got 4 billion by the end of airing. 1 person even said in yamg page that it is superior bcz it crashed app while watching sorry bt ool didn't crash it bcz it's mostly a tv drama the viewers are divided in tv & online not concentrated in one app so no crashing such weird logic to boost their drama. OOL was a 3 year old delayed drama which already disappointed, discouraged many passerby for delay. Some may even forgot this drama existed bcz of delay & not heavily promoted, leads didn't attend togther in shows doing promotion or do much cp either when airing. Where yamg wasn't delayed, was promoted good bcz i heard there were some govt. support, leads promoted together & have famous cp. Internationally ool has been number 1 in wetv for days & only available in netflix taiwan where it was also number 1. Despite all disadvantage one can see ool got good response. U know i never wanted to compare two dramas as drama watching should be fun when one year old drama fans without before airing start to compare, say ool won't surpass our dramas & only certain competitive drama fans are only trashing this drama, u don't need to think much to figure out why it is happening. Even before watching a drama if u have mindset that this drama won't surpass my fav drama thn will u even like the drama when u already have a negative mind bcz u'll constantly try to find fault. See the people who trashed or posted negative comment about ool went to yamg page thn started trashing ool there, if they were not intentionally trashing ool for their fav would they go to a 1 year old drama page again which they already watched & complain about ool when they also complained about it in ool page in this 1 year they already saw many drama why go to that page bcz they think the leads are competitive to their idol in their mind. Bcz normal mdl watchers don't do that they can complain on new drama page if don't like bt don't again suddenly go to a drama page which they saw many months before to compare, it shows 1 year old drama was already in their mind before watching ool & wanted to compare thus illogical judgement. Yamg & ool are 2 different drama with different plot & different year. There was no need to compare or trash in yamg own drama page to uplift their own dramas which already got taste of fame for 1 year & even if new dramas are good none could take that previous fame away also when in this drama page we could do the same bt didn't check comment sections & date who started first, even now we r not trashing yamg while some of us also didn't like yamg bt showing maturity, it shows who are more insecure about their own drama & don't think it's successful. There is two version tv & web with different number of episodes bt both version is the same only the length they cut episode is different. U can watch any version.

Let us not point fingers & be mature. I know xz has a lot of anti fans with crazy obsession like u will see when the drama only showed 2 episode some anti fans already rated it 1 point & even in ridiculous bad dramas in mdl normal people don't rate 1 point mostly rate 3 or 4 & this show is quiet good so unjustly rating 1 point shows the true colors & the same thing happens in the chinese scoring site too. But if the drama is good rating won't mean much as no matter how many antifans badmouth or rate low if non fans, passerby like it, they will recommend it to others. Word of mouth is a good promotion, look at the increasing number of watchers, it is attracting more people as it already satisfied some previous watchers and they are recommending it. I heard it was available in only taiwan netflix region & was number 1 in taiwan & in the list of popular Netflix shows in 42 place with only taiwan watchers. I also want to say before anyone watch a drama plz see the genre & trailer properly to determine if its in ur preference genre otherwise u can be disappointed, this drama is not thriller mystery drama with big plot & side romance bt a pure romance drama. This kind of drama don't have heavy plot bt pure romance drama mostly shows the leads dynamics, some even become toxics. If u judge it with other only romance genres it is quite good without too much misunderstanding, druggy plot & toxic male leads & bad/ disappointing ending when many chinese dramas start good bt last episodes are rushed or bad so wasting the whole time, this drama is one of the rare one as it start slow bt get better & better each episode with good endings. The drama has simple love story with some real life challenges shown & the lead actors are so amazing that when they were dating their chemistry & little gestures made it seem like real so if it's in ur favor thn watch. Also no need to worry about ratings if some antifans maliciously rate it low, it will just blacken their conscience. We can't say surely who are they so let's not assume anything & be positive. If anyone truly don't find the drama interesting that is also ok as everyone has different preferences even most popular drama, movies have people who don't like it. Everyone just enjoy the drama peacefully.

Sadly, people listen to their friends a lot & don't analyze if the friend even have the quality to give advice. The reason why they trust friend's advice without much question is bcz of the reliability for many years on the friend.

Yeah, saw it he looks a little tired & he could be also loosing weight bcz of his new drama, for untamed he became too thin to fit the role & for AT he gained weight, bcz of this his look constantly change & seem like a different person on each drama, i feel his look completely change if he have a little bit weight or be thin, if u see his 2015 x fire show, he had chubby cheek & looked so adorable, thn loosing some weight 2018 was handsome bt thn untamed era lost too much weight for role & not my favorite one, after that AT gained weight muscle completely badass look, my favorite one, thn in late 2021 a little bit less badass bt look so handsome especially in tods & zenith ads. of so u will always see different look of him during each drama or different period, also don't worry about how long his popularity lasting,he is smart that's why going for serious actor route, u can't live on only popularity bt need to strengthen the position in the ent with good serious drama is the next step, hopefully he can get good script, if the script presented r not good it will be hard & choose it wisely. Bt really looking for a action thriller drama from him.

A bit late now bt i have been seeing u both in tbw & here feeling confused about data so want to give my personal observation bt it will be a bit long if u feel patient can still read otherwise skip though i may not be 100% accurate bt i did try to think seriously about it. For tv & only web/online drama finding popularity is bit different style. TV popularity or if it is attracting large number of non fans viewers can be somewhat find out as there is csm rating for cities & cvb both are good bt CVB rating is the authoritative govt. NRTA involved rating so it is the main trusted rating.
Surpassing average 1 point is considered very good in this rating not many drama can do that & heard some years there is no drama exceeding 1. Also you have to consider if the drama is airing on any of cctv channels as most of the time cctv drama do better in view & rating bcz in china most people have cctv in every region so one year from 1-38 place of hit tv cvb rating drama were all from cctv all non cctv aka satellite tv drama were after no -38 . so if your fav drama is on cctv thn there is garantee that large number of people will watch it as everyone has this channel in china so how good it is doing u have to analyze it with other cctv dramas & their rating. If it is not on cctv channel bt other channels like hunan, beijing etc with relatively lower number of total viewers as not everyone has it & some even region wise tv channel so you have to see if it's have good rating in case of other non cctv satelite tv channels & if it's rating can be placed on beside some cctv channel drama rating too bt some only region channel with very low access of area or viewers will always have low rate as the total viewer of that channel is low so u have to compare accordingly. By the way many dramas have low average cvb rating for all drama episodes like .1, .3 bt more than .6 is doing quite good & breaking average 1 means very very good where some years no drama can break it. There is also kyun rating app which measure tv drama & rate it even though it can be followed bt not as good as cvb. Now for online drama without airing on tv, it is very tricky to measure popularity as there is no authoratative rating like cvb. There are mainly three data chart that is somewhat reliable bt not completely which are datawin, vinkage & aiman, other charts are really not much important. This charts top means there are buzz or many people are watching or talking about the drama bt big fandom have many people participiting on the drama discussions so it can sometime not fully represent how much the drama is out of the fan circle. Bt still if you obseve properly then can see that generally 2.5 in datawin means a lot of people are excited about drama, it is good & breaking 3 is very good. Some years only 1 or 2 drama can break 3. Many dramas can not even break 2 in datawin, i have seen many large fandoms where despite trying very hard still couldn’t break 2 so my personal opinion in order to break more than 2.5 you need some non fans passerby to join the discussion, only fans can't do it. I feel that large fandoms should be able to achieve 1.3 in datawin bt for them to be more than 2 or 2.5 or 3 will need passerby non fan viewers help so larger fandom with more than 2.5 rate may show further audience reach bt some dramas that have lower than 2.5 can still. mean audience reach if the leads have no large fandom as all of the viewers are passerby no fans. so it won't be high rate bt can still be considered good & reaching wider audience. I won't say this analysis on datawin is 100% accurate bt i have observed some large fandoms rate & i saw some not so good, niche dramas despite fandoms trying hard didn't pass 2 bt some other good story drama same fandom reached more than 2 or 2.5 so deducted that non fans were probably contributing. Bt still this charts are not 100% reliable as we don't know how they rate the dramas bt still it is little bit reliable for some cases. Online views are also good way to understand popularity bt it is true by watching repeatedly fandoms can raise viewcount like kpop song streaming. Bt if the view is very high in last day of the drama airing or in 30-40 days so the chances of people other than fans are watching is big bcz if the large fandom could only 30-40 days increase views in 3-4 billion then they would be able to do that for every of the celebrity's drama bt u will see it doesn't happen always as the 4B, 5 B happens after months or years of drama airing where fans get large time for streming so i think only one month with high view mean non fans are involved even if some views are increased by fans streaming. Also for tv drama cvb rate first 2-3 days rate would mean all fans & some non fans are included in the rate as dedicated fans will watch from the first episode bt if the rating increase after that as this will mean new people are coming to watch drama if the rating drop halfway that means people are not liking it so leaving & increase of rating more means people are finding drama getting more & more good. Now ool started with cvb .47 first day bt increased day by day last day was .85, its average rating is more than .65 for a 15 day sweet romance drama it did very good & kyun app it even show broke 1 still cvb is the main one & did good there as a non cctv drama, hunan tv airing ool & cctv dramas get more views, it got 4 billion views online in 37 days not counting tv viewers where it got good rating & people who watch it on tv won't watch it online too so online views are extra & it topped all chart for its airing time & tbw was mostly second after ool finished it was in first place & it is in youkou where viewcounts are not shown so can't find it bt i do think tbw is popular. For international u can find if the drama is trending in different countries on the platform it is airing or sometimes i even like to see the watchers & ratings of mdl page. ool was number 1 in more than 6 countries in wetv. Bt still there is no solid proof or universal count for how much popular it is as u can get idea bt no ironclad proof. Still popularity mean not much as u can still not like a drama even if a lot of people like it as preference of everyone is different which happens with me for many popular holywood movies & series. Bt u know not all fans watch or analyze this charts & rating for boasting, many fans like me want to learn truth if my faves drama is really doing great, if new people are watching & want to feel relief as many want the drama to be popular so they try to find the result after airing if they can relax or if not popular pray for next one to be popular. Bt it is pretty hard to perfectly determine it bt u still get some idea from the charts & rating & honestly speaking ool may not be a mega hit of 100 years bt being a sweet romance drama it did really good considering its genre, non cctv drama, little airtime & for tv drama rating is somewhat reliable to consider bt for other only online drama even if its popular you can't be too sure. I see u r cheng yi fans, i've been getting interested in yangzi so oberving this page sometime, seeing u feeling confused thought will give my observation opinion if you want to know about how ur faves drama doing especially tv ones.

I think xz didn’t intentionally have bad selfi bcz he always have bad selfi as the angle he takes the pic is always weird. His xnine band mate wu jia cheng even said that if xz take his selfi he is handsome bt if others take it for him then he is super handsome meaning he nicely said xz is very bad at selfi. One time he even post a selfi & said did i improve. In one event he posted selfi at weird angle at least for me he looked weird bt when the studio posted the same event pic of him he's heavenly handsome. Problems lie at his selfi skill & also tired from work. Also he said once that if many people follow him as fans that means many people like him, it is always good to be liked so don’t think he will try to reduce fans & how can he reduce it in each drama he always gain new fans, with that face & charm it will be hard to reduce as he will always gain new ones 😅 bt he is thinking of entering serious actor road & want to show proper skill in serious drama. The reason for his low appearence as i already mentioned above for some circumstances bt he will appear more later & also personally i think bt i could be wrong he does keep a little low profile as don't want to draw malicious people attention as many new actors are also getting popular now bt xz is so popular & you can find xz fan everywhere he don’t want others feel he is a threat & attack again as we ha have already seen they did it in 227 for industry competition, also the qinglang move of govt. makes all celeb low key.

I absolutely understand you romance drama is good for attracting fans bt xz has something different that always attract fans even in wolf as a support role appearing after 11 episode he still attracted new fans. Let me tell you i saw a bai lu fan that said after watching AT bcz bailu was there she became his fan & even sometimes post his pics on twitter, i have seen some yangzi fans seriouly liking xz too. My personal experience I didn't even watch untamed bcz of poor cgi then after months a video of xz smiling was recommend on youtube thn fell for him like crazy 1-2 months only saw xz related all videos thn i could see untamed & ignore cgi. I always thought hard core fans are childish why stan someone like that whom u don’t know anything. Look how i have fallen. So he always attract fans less or more bt many other actors don't as people move on after a drama. XZ handsome face, talent & charm is there. Also in wdb to get older people like you even if they don’t turn fans bt they will at least know xz & be a passerby with good opinion so when new drama of xz come they will at least try it sometimes. I always think passerby are very important even more than fans sometimes, bcz people can feel they are neutral so trust their recommendations more than fans. Having a large number of passerby with good opinion is very beneficial as they will at least give a chance at new dramas out of curisity if he keeps delivering good dramas then they will trust him more & more & later turn fans.

I am saying this bcz low expectation may result in low disappointment, i also miss xz & wish he could duplicate himself so that i can watch him more. U see about 2019, he just became popular & so like others attended many award shows & our song bt if u observe other suddenly popular actors thn u will see that they attend many varieties bt xz only attended one which pair up older singer as teacher so good for learning that’s why he made exception. This year their could be some personal reason for not attending chinese new year as he attended last year bt i think he will attend the next one. I remember there are some event that he could not really attend as the event were the same day on his ADLAD theater performance. The english new year he didn't attend any bcz only 1-2 day before it he finished consecutive 5-6 day of 8 hour theater performance so he was basically exhausted to prepare for the new year. This years tencent starlight award, weibo night all canceled bcz of covid so how will u see him. With chinese govt. new rules & restrictions all celebrity are very low key. Ur time to stan him is relly full of thorns 😥, but on the good side at least his dramas are showing & when longest promise air their is a chance of heavy promotion, variety attendence as tencent is giving it much importance. Don't worry bad time won't last long, even if xz won't show up as much as others bt he will still show up many times & satisfy fans its just the probem with chinas covid situation. Also i think even if you are late you are still a good fan of xz & like him very much as i see you are very active here without liking him more you won't do that. Yes, XZ said after living our daily life properly then if we have extra time then to follow him. Actually i also want to see xz more like who doesn't? He always bring happiness whenver i watch him & sometimes i want his studio to record hours of only his smilling videos bcz it always make me smile. Whenver i'm in bad mood i will always watch his smilling videos. So i understand fans missing him and i even saw some young fans after xz appear the next day say they are already missing him that shows how much xz can attract us. Bt every actor has their own habits & seems he is busy too 2-3 days ago made a post at very late night about getting off work that late & being involved in c ent now i also saw some low key ones too & like you right now i am also pretty busy so finished ool by skipping a lot so didn’t write a proper review yet after i become less busy will properly watch & give review. It is really great that xz can attract many mature fans not everyone can do that bcz its hard for older people to be so dedicated as they have less time to spend so actors without mature & unique charms, thinking ability & deep & nice personality will have hard time to attract them & xz have all & i have even seen cases of mom & daughter both liking xz not only in china bt international too.
