I think xz's older fans will love this genre. I have seen some older fans with job, kids where many of them still liked ool bt also said it was a long time that they watched a sweet romance drama, they are really looking forward to WDB which will show the slice of life, real life challenges. It’s better for xz to do different genres as many younger people are already aware of xz now period drama like this can attract general older people both male & female since it will also air on tv & strengthen his reputation as actor. Bt i think if the plot is good younger people will also like it as i personally like this kind of plot too with real life challenges if done right. This has a grown up feeling not idol drama like.

Are you a new xz fan? Thn you may not be familiar with xz style basically he always stay low key even before he became popular he would not post his selfies much or anything & he said this in an interview once he posted selfie fans even teased him & asking who are you? He post that infrequently & don’t do much variety shows. Also when he goes to shoot a drama he will not update much & be entirely engrossed in the drama shooting. I always found it amazing that he keeps attracting large number of new fans just through his dramas bcz variety shows are really a very good way to attract fans & variety give much larger amount of money so you will see some celebrity doing only variety shows not even shooting much dramas. Bt xz giving the vibe wanting to be serious actor, he may not do much variety. Last year was exception that you got a lot of vlog bcz he was doing theater so giving the different attraction videos of each cities. Now no theater so no vlog. You know most actors will have only 2-3 dramas a year so we r the same getting two ool & the longest promise this year & next year he would also give 2 drama probably will shoot another one after WDB bt if covid delay shooting then not only he but also all other actors will get to affected too & there is nothing we can do. Also a large number of his fans are adult, many having job, family & kids so it is quite ok for them with this low key behavior. Lastly I haven't seen much endorsement material for other celetrity too recently, it's quite low for now maybe bcz endorsement announcement sometimes strategically comes before big sale event in china so it will come later & for covid the shooting of endorsement material could also be stopped too. Anyway don't feel bad at least we have a new drama to look forward in july- august.

So basically actor xz is dead to you. No wonder why xz avoid yibo like plague now not contacting or talking with him in any stage or shows. Seeing so many shippers in weibo, youtube, twitter talking shit about the drama where many passerby are praising it & saying leads have great chemistry. I understand now why all c-entertainment actors & actress never acknowledge any cp fans as their official fans & only acknowledge non shipper & only celebrity centered fans official fans. Many cp fans support many times seem like just conditional support & cp is the main support not actors, anything that pose a threat to the ship, some of them will take action even if the action harms the actors. It is pretty evident why actors with strong cp distance themselves from other when they see the madness & anti behavior cp fans are doing, trashing actors hard working drama for only cp. I feel like you are only untamed drama fan & like xz in that 1 role not actor xz fan if future work & all future acting of xz is invalid to u just for a ship & most of cdrama of all category involve romance, xz will be doing those. The way xz just being friendly creates cp everywhere, I wonder about the future mess all different dramas cp fans going to show by acting like anti & trashing his new dramas.

Also ur loved drama mdl page already started to shade ool & saying how it is bad to make a point how popular drama is bad but mine is good & feel superior & here u r directly droping name, comparing dramas where we r not shading any drama, not comparing by going to their pages and not promoting our drama in others page & if anyone don't like ours understanding and saying everyone have different preferences, also respecting other dramas & not degrading them showing our maturity even if some may not like other dramas as much as this one is liked. Bt i don't agree with you that it's famous only for leads bcz it does have a good concept. & let's remind you this drama fans waited for 2.5 years so the expectation was really high & many fans i saw was saying one day before broadcast that i hope the drama fullfill our expectation, i am really afraid bt later i saw them satisfied. When a drama builds high expectation, its likely to be disappointed bcz people set high requirement bt when it satisfies the long awaited people's expectation then it because it's good. It got more & more viewes & better rating which shows its attracting non fans. The people that are liking it maybe tired of everyday over the top dramatic romance or cliche rich guy fall for poor one, CEO type which still many praises as having varrying taste. Also isn't ztao also a famous one right? So his drama also has famous lead. But this drama attracting many people doesn't mean its only for leads or people don't find it interesting bcz there are many examples of good leads having flop drama. The reason it can engage viewers bcz it's concept are intersting to a large numbers. Bt i am also not saying legally romance is bad, it is good in its own way bt maybe it has less view than ool is bcz its concept isn't aligned with some people's taste. So saying which is better or only attracted by leads is a flawed concept. It's attracting bcz many people are finding it interesting even if your taste differ and which drama is better mainly depend on one's preference there is no absolute neutral & right way to determine which one is better for everyone especially if a drama is liked by many people.

U can also see his drama 'doulou continent' & upcoming drama this year in july-august 'the longest promise' . He is also a singer, if u like music, you can search our song season 1 in youtube where he participated & he appears from episode 3 , it's a music competition show with eng sub & really good. Also can search 'xiao zhan spolight' on youtube, it's his digital single which became the fastest selling digital single in Guinness world record & no 7 in IFIP list. Also he was in xnine band, their songs are good, can check it out. Most of us became his fans because of his good acting, amazing singing voice, personality & most of all his beautiful smile. His smile is the best one.

Because you are in first episodes where they are getting to know each other & the doctor is cold at first later the drama gets interesting & when the lead dates, the chemistry feels too natural, this is a simple drama with some real life issues not over dramatic, over the complicated plotline dramas which we don't even see happen much in real life bt what i like is its simple & can imagine relationship like this. I couldn't watch some super cliche dramas bt saw many liked them as people have different tastes. If you don't like this simple kind drama then you won't like it. Bt the drama ratings in tv started medium then increased day by day, viewrship increased more & in last episode it reached the highest so you can see where many dramas have strong start then fall flat viewership decreased bt it was the opposite where it increased.

People are really immature & i find hype is a degrading word which used in mostly all popular dramas in mdl like how can one use it where it clearly show majority likes it. Just one's preference is different doesn't mean its bad since it is also preferred by many people. I was into action thriller genre before so felt romance genre bad & cliche bt never degraded them as they were good in their own value. I feel many mdl users are children without clear logic & concept, can't show respect to others & think they are always right.

Thnx, people are so illogical that it's frustrating sometimes. I can easily determine from a mdl page if fans are satisfied or not, how non fans liking a drama bcz no matter how fans try to hype a drama, they won't be able to retain the dissatisfaction in their comments. Comment section won't be much enthusiastic & by watching ids u can even sometimes determine who are non fans & their perception. If u are careful & have brain u can clearly see through fakes, bt some people are really brainless to understand which drama is really liked.

Wow, so biased opinion of yours only. May i say this famous actor & actress both have a previous drama airing 4- 5 months before, bcz the drama were different genre & some of the editing of xz previous drama was problematic even if it was ok, it was not this much popular & fans clearly showed what they liked & disliked in the drama which shows how a drama success can not only rely on fans. Bt here u see no dissatisfaction from fans where some of them did it in previous drama. Because they are liking it for real or else they won't say can't move on go watch some pages where fans are not satisfied with favs drama & how complain seriously is made sometimes. Also many non fans also watched this drama & majority liked it. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean its low grade u are still projecting your own thought on others. You are not the standard of how a drama is good or bad, i can mostly dislike one of your liked drama & call u shitty preference, wonder if its yours fave drama or not bt i'll be then immature bcz everyone's taste would varry. A drama can't be really popular with only by fans if it was then all of his dramas should be super popular although many of them did good bt this one was really good & tv ratings & viewers increased day by day if it was only fans then it wouldn't increase day by day bcz all fans would watch from the 1st day of drama so the increased viewers were non fans who got interested bcz they felt drama is good so came to watch after a few days of airing. U see u don't give any logic only saying what you like is good & others low grade. If only fans are hyping it which is clearly not bcz the same fans would hype favs other dramas too and manage to make all of them super popular which didn't always happen. So when it's better hyped it showed how non fans are joining. I don't go rate & consistently try to downgrade or say mean things in dramas i don't like though & specially illogical blaming others. Don't worry everyone have different opinions & this situation really divided the drama fans. Some thought gu wei was wrong some who were thinking it deeper empathise with gu wei's trouble somewhat understand his action & gu wei could go to court so probably didn't want to drag & ruin her & he has the habit of bottling up everything so his decision seemed realistic for him bt the show is good, didn't drag the pain too much & later showed his gowth & sweetness of them. Anyway the drama needed to create some conflict, we are lucky that it wasn't too big. 😊

I hope more people will like and make videos of it in future now it seems like it's being a little suppressed since some other fans seeing the drama as competition but in future more open minded people will come & just simply watch and enjoy the drama.

It is sad really, i don't understand these people, cdrama fans are reaaly weird, makes me not want to invest in other stars bcz i can't take this much negativity & i feel really sorry for yangzi. xz is too popular making other c actors fans insecure & jealous so they will not only attack xz but also his fl partners too. They will try every way to step on his dramas since they do quite well. This way of not improving yourself bt trying to degrade other works to make their own stars & drama first just give the impression that they don't believe their stars can outdone xz with his own talent or the drama can surpass xz dramas with its own power. I just feel pity that they themselves don't believe in their own artists talent so need to downgrade others to make them higher. It's a pity for the stars to have these fans. We love xz & believe he can attract more fans, get good praise with his own skills even if others are trying hard to downgrade him bcz he has talent, look & hardworking person.

I have been trying to be familiar with other c drama actor/ actress. So visiting many other artists mdl pages. What i saw is many pages already talking about ool ratings before it aired how they will compare with their which artist's drama success. It is really weird, i didn't see any talk of rating or other drama here, everyone was just too happy, it was airing. So when mdl rating started to go down it was understandable why some may think other drama lovers are attacking if they read these comments. Cdrama hardcore fans are really weird. Our page was good bcz we didn't start compare with other dramas, the whole situation is giving bad vibe to others. Our drama was in top charts bt we didn't say here much which drama it beat or not we only said its doing great. Bt the others that do this, don't they understand that it will feel like they are insecure if you have to constantly try to find approval by comparing with other dramas, u don't trust your own drama hit much & also seems like they give ool & xz too much attention thinking they are competition which means they do think highly of us where we don't care about anyting other than our own drama.

What is hype? When many people like a drama, are they going to say i don't like it to make it believable? Hype is made by a large number of people that like this & this drama satisfying their preferences, just because minority like you won't like it does it mean all the majority's like wrong? So only your preference is right & thousands of others are wrong? When many like a drama there is something good about the drama, some concept that make others invested bt i understand you don't like it, everyone has different preferences bt please don't degrade others preference, no one is superior to other. Lastly if you are fan of some artist so automatically hating other competitive dramas, trying to convince others not watching, i surely pity you, just limiting yourself in drama for such stupid reasons.

Bt people could only watch ymg on web, tencent video where ool mainly focused & aired on tv & got good ratings there too. People watching on tv won't watch on web & it also reached online views of 3 B. where they are not even counting the tv viewers if counted will probably reach 4B as the rating increased day by day & has good ratings & further reach of different kind of tv viewers besides they are getting extra web viewers too. Just want to say rather than thinking which is greater it's better to wish that drama will reach to the audience heart & remembered in future. Both drama have different kind plot settings to attract probably different kinds viewers and both are different one mainly tv another web. From before airing ool these comparisons on forums really got me amazed, are all cdramas this much competed when even aired at different years or seen so much competition talk of reba, yangzi who have totally different kind of charm & surely there are so many great & popular actresses too who made these competition ideas between them.😑😑

No ships is real. Untill the actor announce all are lies bcz many shippers video, shippers translation mostly mistranslation of actors word (seen some xz video on youtube made by shippers account where they completely translated different word than what xz told to fit the ship naratives as majority can't even understand chinese so easy 🤣🙄) & kadians are all mostly made up by shippers telling it based on my experience of
shipping fandoms in all genders. Bt hopefully all xz ships old or new understand this bcz i have seen some xz ship that announce trust me that ship is fake bt ours is totally true see how shippers account are giving the made up proofs which is hipocrisy for them to tell one ship is a lie where theirs are too. Better not be too invested in any ship of any form bcz it turns people crazy & if the ship sink & they marry others which happens more than 99% then shippers just curse the actor, harassing partner basically becoming inhumane , seen too many such phenomena. Just relaxing & simply enjoying the chemistry & friendship with all xz drama co stars both old & new is enough.
