No I'm by no means an expert on the delinquent theme. All I can think about from the top of my head are maybe Go and Gangers High. I simply meant it had all the ingredients for a movie I would love. Great actors whom I love, great director, action etc.
I already finished Yuusha Yoshihiko. I loved it. Especially hilarious were the NPC-like characters in villages with the repetitive dialog. LOL And the spells "Sweets". Hehe. Or the Buddha. Or Yoshihiko's serious expression on his face, or the random battles at the beginning. LOL anyway it was good. I have season 2 lined up but will go for a more serious theme first and perhaps a couple of movies.

I know, strange right! Not liking it is too much of an exaggeration. I still thought it was good but my hopes were up so high and in the end I must shamefully admit that didn't love it as much as I was expecting.
Hehe Yoshihiko is seriously funny. I think it's the single most funny thing I watched in a long time. This kind of humor can be too lame at times but this is just perfect. All the random side characters are way too funny as well. LOL

Ah yes I've seen him in Lessons of EVil already as well. I just added some of your recommendations. His role wasn't even credited on this site yet for 2 shows. LOL Edited it right away.
Your review and recommendation of Kirishima made me curious so I'll try that soon as well.
I can do slow paced, even more so if it's a movie. I just haven't taken the time to actually watch it. For me sometimes it's easier downloading and watching something then take a DVD off the shelf.
Just now I started watching Yuusha Yoshihiko to Maou no Shiro. I Started watching basically because I wanted to see Yamada in yet another form but wasn't expecting much from the drama. Comedy is not my thing, it often annoys me more then it humors me. :P However I'm totally surprised it's hilarious, RPG meets Monty Python. Did you watch it?

Oh my bad I meant Harakiri instead of 13 assassins of course. Also a Miike film. :P I couldn't quite connect with Crows and I don't know why. On paper it's everything I would go for in a movie. Still don't think dancing and singing would have made it better. LOL
Added M.W. now, hadn't seen it yet.
BTW I just started watching Yuusha Yoshihiko to Maou no Shiro and I saw you watched it too. I'm so blown away by the first eps. LOL I don't go for comedy usually since I find most comedy in movies or drama's not funny. But this is hilarious.
LOL this is hilarious!! I'm very picky about comedy but this show had me laughing out loud the first ep (with tears in my eyes). I love the randomness of the dialog and the RPG setting. Reminds me of Monty Python or as said in Kawaikochan's review Blackadder.

Well a few that come to mind are: Blind, Montage, Rainbow Eyes and Memories of Murder. Not all masterpieces, but if you like the genre (like me) then all are good watches. Also if you haven't seen Ogon O Daite Tobe yet you should try it. I found it disappointing plot-wise but it's a must watch for the actors.
I don't know how you feel about gangster theme but recently I watched A Dirty Carnival and Nameless Gangster and I enjoyed watching those too, especially the latter.
For 13 assassins I've seen the remake. I even have it on DVD I really loved it. Still planning to go for the original soon.
I was really looking forward to Ai to Makoto. I even pre-ordered the DVD because I didn't want to wait. I can't bring myself to love it but it improves if you watch it for a second time and know what to expect. :P Still I think it's an experiment gone wrong. Nice try but don't do it again. Hehe

I've actually only seen him in a few productions including Ikiterumono wa Inainoka and Himizu. He blew me away in Himizu. I'm looking into more of his movies now. Any you'd recommend, he's done so many already?
Nikaido Fumi, I just looked her up now since I didn't recognize her by name right away. But I found out I actually saw her in quite a few movies/drama's. I have to admit though she didn't stick with me after seen those. I will pay closer attention when I see her next. Only 19 I read!
Also I didn't watch Tokyo Story yet. I actually have it on DVD but it's one of those movies I never get around to watching. SIlly, I should stop putting it off. :P

Lovely genre's.I myself love to find old J-Drama's, for some reason they have this lovely feel about them. Do you have an opinion on Sometani Shota? He's slowly becoming one of my favorite actors.

No haven't seen it but I heard good things. Have you seen it? Romance isn't a necessity for me either, but it's different if I'm expecting it and there is none. :P I might watch it but as long as it's not a must watch yet I'll try to refrain myself from adding it to my ptw list. Movies are different I don't mind adding those They are easier to finish. LOL
I just started watching it but first thing which is already great is the music!
NP have fun watching or listening :P

Ah that's a shame I love to spread my love for the movie around but good thing not everyone has the same taste. ;) What is your favorite genre or theme?
Yup in the end the favorites are the drama's which moved me most and made me want to skip sleeping and not the ones with the best camara work. :P Although it does help of course. ;)

I'm terribly torn about this drama. Eventually I gave it a 7 because I didn't know what to make of it. :P
I have to say I didn't know exactly what to expect when going in. When I realized the romance wasn't what I expected I was a bit disappointed but then all the characters pulled me in. I loved the first eps and then it went a bit downhill for me. I was a bothered by the way the drama tried to convey moral values (good vs evil) in the middle of the drama. Plus I totally didn't expect the ending. I still don't know if I liked it or not. What I loved was the acting, the mixed theme's (drama, crime, revenge a dash of romance). The characters were a lot of fun to watch for me. It was a drama which kept suspiring me every time I almost gave up hope. Plus I think Kim Kang Woo shines in his role. LOL So there you have it love/hate relationship but certainly not a bad drama :P.

I know right!! LOL
I don't like comedy in my movies or drama's but when I need a laugh I watch Running Man. I just wish I had time to watch em all. :P
I loved the article. I loved Faith (one of my guilty pleasures) but I really wish they would have been able to shoot it how it was initially intended, what a tragedy not in the least for Kim Jong Hak and his loved ones. GREAT promo BTW!

Hi thanks for the friend request!
I see you also enjoy Japanese films. If I may be so forward I see one of our favorite actors is Yamada Takayuki. If you haven't seen it yet you should try 13 assassins. It's directed by Takashi Miike the same guy who directed Lessons of Evil.
I just started watching it but first thing which is already great is the music!
The music? I found it on I-Tunes, Diamond Dust by Himuro Kyosuke.
The drama I got it on asiatorrents. But if you want to stream you can find it on gooddrama.net called Koori no Sekai.

You shouldn't force yourself with drama's even if your favorite actor is in it. Although I must admit Ai to Makoto went up maybe 2 points for me because of the actors. LOL

I just read your final verdict on A Sleeping Forrest and I agree completely. Love those Japanese gems. ;)
I do watch Korean drama's quite a lot actually but most of the time they feel lacking or nor "real" compared to Japanese if you know what I mean. That's not to say that I don't still enjoy them greatly though but in the end I seem to prefer Japanese.
Plus I'm a huge movie fan from gory, strange, mystery crime to romance. I usually really don't like rom/com though especially in movies. Lately I'm especially enjoying crime / mystery movies.
I haven't gotten myself into the old Japanese movies yet aside from Ikiru and Seven Samurai. Is the Harakiri you mentioned the original version of Takashi Miike's Harakiri? I read somewhere that it was a remake I believe. Anyway I am interested if you have any recommendations in the samurai genre.

Yup I have seen Memories of Murder and after watching I bought it on DVD. It's one of my favorites.
I hope you enjoy Rainbow Eyes it was a very good surprise for me.. I found it while talking Kim Kang Woo. I really enjoyed his acting in A Man's Story and been looking up more of his movies etc.
When I come across more mystery/crime movies I'll pass em along if you do the same. ;)
