I can't understand why people write, that they can't watch sad ending... both of them need happiness and they…
As long as it is written well and makes sense I have no problem with a sad ending. That is the reality of life it cant all be sunshine and roses. Some of the most memorable and poignant stories/dramas/real life events I have experienced have been sad endings. I just have a problem when writers crowbar in a sad ending just for the sake of it or for shock value. I have seen to ep 12 so far so I am not up to date. I hope the writer doesnt let us down.
For this drama there seem to be two camps one for the rich CEO and the other for the wife. I found myself in neither camp.
All 4 main leads had their flaws. Although I have to say out of the 4 of them I disliked Hong Joo’s personality/character the most throughout most of the drama. She was so frustratingly passive aggressive. She had plenty of opportunities to get back with her husband and pushed him away and then acted like “a dog in the manger.” She didn’t want him but she didn’t want anyone else to have him either. She then goes on to use Kang Min Woo For her own petty revenge.
I just found her character weak and spiteful. I could not understand her actions. If I was in her shoes and I find myself unable to forgive my husband for a transgression I would leave him and that would be the end of it. I wouldn’t want to hold onto the resentment and want to punish him for moving on with his life. However I must say by the end she realised the error of their ways. She says “ I have dug my own grave. And I didn’t realise that if I was slinging mud at someone I would get dirty too. “
The other woman had her faults too she was cold, conceited and arrogant. But to her credit she was honest in her dealings with everyone. Exception being when they threw in the much overused illness plot and then she tried to be a noble idiot.
I also wasn’t moved by the great love between female CEO Se Yong and Seok Hoon. I found it hard to sympathise with their relationship seeing how it started when he was a married man.
Because none of the characters were particularly admirable or indeed very moral I couldn’t really root for any of them. To conclude 2 wrongs do not make a right.
I know I m probably the odd one here but I don’t want a happy ending because it will be like a fairytale rather…
I think the actor playing BC is doing a good job but I dont feel sorry for the character. Remember how it all started he killed someone and let KPJ go to jail in his place. He manipulated a woman into marrying him then carried on with his mistress behind her back. Then when he finds out about his real identity & KPJ's real identity he becomes even more greedy and ambitious. He wanted to just be a playboy but when he finds out KPJ is the real grandson he doesn't want him to win at any cost. Don't get me wrong KPJ is guilty on many counts too of course but I feel some pity for him regards what happened to his family.
Since ep 1 this drama has maintained its high quality acting/directing and script. At times heart rending and poignant and then utterly hilarious. Who would have thought I would find so many lovable characters in a prison! Outstanding effort from the Reply team. Love love loved it!
Yes it is not a realistic gritty portrayal of prison life but I for one am glad I have seen enough Western/English TV series/films and documentaries which show the utter depravity of humankind that this drama was a much needed breath of fresh air.
After starting Hwayugi I wondered if the chemistry between CSW & LSG was as good in this earlier drama...conclusion no it wasn't . This drama although only from 2014 had a dated feel to it. The background music was jarring and didn't fit the drama. Story was ok nothing blew me away and I didn't particularly dislike it either. Just so-so.
Well paced and well acted drama especially Kim Sung Kyun I thought he did a brilliant job. Reminded me of The Godfather type mafia films . Conclusion I am glad I don't live in Bucheon City XD
Do not understand the fuss everyone is making over Eun Soo Sun's mom getting slapped around with a handbag. ESS even compared it to what happened to Dae Gu's mom and how did he manage to endure it......what on earth!!?? His mom was brutally murdered. Total overreaction.
I thought he was talented and deserved a bigger break sadly that won't happen now. I noticed him in the drama I had seen him in (even though he generally he played a villain) and he had so much potential.
I just started ep 18 and was blown away by JH acting with just his eyes in the first scene. He goes from looking anguished then gets himself under control and back to looking determined wow love it!!
I also loved his subtle change in expression in ep 17 slight smirk when exec Jung is talking about the necklace and how Pil Joo is also from the same area where Mo Hyun says she found the necklace on a school trip. You could just read his expression he was willing her to finally put the pieces of the jigsaw together and work out who he really is it was like he was daring her.
Well, I've been following it every week but after ep. 12, I don't know why I lost interest. They're dating and…
I think Jugglers in small doses is doable. I saw an ep yesterday and one today. Definitely was ready to watch something else after the one ep lol Yes like you I am interested in Jung Ae's story more than the female lead
Is anyone else confused with ep 5 or is it just me? I have no clue what happened.
One minute we have this little Japanese girl ghost story they go into the "film" female lead dies and suddenly they are in a cinema back in present time. I dont buy the whole explanation he burned that world down....it feels like a whole chunk of the episode/story is missing? Did i watch an edited version of ep 5 ? Lol
Also what is the big deal with Ma Wang drinking Sam Jangs blood as if something bad is going to happen to him, didnt they all want to "eat" her anyway?

score I am thinking a 6 or 7 out of 10
