Just starting this and I had forgotten how awful Yong Hwa is at acting...please let me able to blank him out or hope he gets better >_< I already lowered my expectations of Lee Yun Hee after seeing her in Reunited Worlds.
On a plus point I want to visit Mont Saint-Michel. I remember being fascinated when I saw the location in an old film, and this drama just reminded me of this beautiful place.
So, this ep irritated me on more than one point....Ji Soo running away in a state of panic to the point where…
Ji Soo has lived in a protected bubble her whole life its about time she faced reality.
I agree with you wholeheartedly on Ji An's woe is me attitude. For crying out loud she wasn't homeless with no food to eat! She still managed to get a decent education and would have had a job if she wasn't so aspirational and obsessed with wanting to work for the top companies. And as you said there is no guarantee that she would have been successful as a sculptor anyway.
I see a common theme in Kdramas where people put such emphasis on economic status and blame their parents and themselves if they dont have all the money and connections to set them up for life. Whats wrong with living an ordinary life ? I feel like Koreans (as depicted in dramas) are too materialistic
Also loved how the dad stood up for himself everyone was just take take take around him and not appreciating all the efforts he put in over the years. They all started disregarding him after his business failed.
Despite the glaring plotholes , loose ends left unexplained, Go Ah Ra's woeful acting and truly bizarre ending,…
The end scene with Leo & Ha Ram as senior citizens.... were the make up artists/director taking the mickey or what??!! They just looked beyond ridiculous. Also writer please make up your mind what sort of ending you are going to give a drama. You cannot crowbar happy and tragic together into one ending lol Shame about the last 20 minutes of the drama it was good until then.
Your evaluation so far sounds interesting, and may tempt me to return to K-dramas (I'll wait til the end tho and…
I have only seen 6 eps so far ...yes check in with me when I finish it but I think you will like JH role in this its different from his recent efforts. Its quite understated with a simmering tension under the cold surface.
I know this is Dramaland, where a female lead can do the stupidest things ever, but please, that scene in the…
Just started this drama and THAT very scene I found it so ridiculous and over the top I am struggling to keep watching. How can a judge behave in this crass stupid way! I am a lawyer myself and have never seen ANYONE behave so badly in a courtroom. I know this is dramland but still wth!!!! Not sure if this can sustain my interest I am rapidly losing patience I dont know how the female lead can come back from this disaster
As at ep 6: I am pleased to see Jang Hyuk in a non-hammy role for once (other exception being Beautiful Mind). I like the cold calculating persona. Lee Mi Sook beautiful and deadly as ever. Park Se Young is fine playing clueless happy go lucky heroine, I hope we see more depth from her in episodes to come. Lee Soon Jae ...sigh....I cannot bear his rough gravelly voice and he shouts a lot >_< wish he will disappear soon he is a thoroughly unpleasant character as well.
Just because an episode has aired does not mean everyone has seen it. Some people may come to watch this drama much later and most people will prefer not to be spoiled on crucial plot points. Although I personally would not consider your comment a spoiler purely because you are talking about events that happen early on in the drama, its better to be safe than sorry.
I dont know if the drama gangster is a true depiction but when I was walking near Busan train station a group of tough looking men in black suits walked past and the first thought that came into my head was "Gangpae" XD
Just goes to show writing is ALL. Even with the 2 male leads this could not sustain my interest. I left this drama at ep 12 and was avoiding picking it back up. I realised I was dreading watching this drama and that meant only one thing...DROPPED.
