I really enjoyed it up to episode 7, but after that, in my opinion, it went downhill. It became silly and sometimes even stupid, which annoyed me quite a bit.
Do short Cdramas get different censoring boards? because i am pretty sure I saw something during those kisses…
Yes, they are not censored as strictly. But the kisses were something special; I even wondered if the actors were in a relationship (or just took their work very VERY seriously lol).
I love the ML, he did a great job! However, I couldn't really warm to FL (neither her character nor the actress; her love band surgery was far too extreme and the make-up artists even emphasised it... in my opinion, the close-ups were just awful). Apart from that, the series was quite nice. I especially liked the ending (and the humor, but a bit more of it would’ve been nice, too)
I couldn’t get warm with the actor of ML, but I still found the plot interesting and liked the FL, so I kept watching and it was kind of fun... until episode 20, then it went downhill. ML suddenly became a shy, reserved virgin, which didn't fit his character at all. Totally killed the drama for me.
Wow! This series is incredibly good! I absolutely loved it and devoured it!!!🤯❤️And honestly, I don't understand…
I was totally thrilled by the kisses, and although there were MANY in the first half of the drama, I was more than disappointed by the second half because we were suddenly left with nothing, kissing scenes just stopped or became very rare😢
Also, ML’s character must have had balls of steel with all those kisses, but nothing else happening. I found it really annoying that the first half of the drama revolves around the idea of them forming a bond (and explanations/teasing how that needs to happen), but they never actually …..get intimate enough to form one (and when they finally did, it was through a blood transfusion, I mean, what the hell was that? One of the baddest plot twist ever 😭😭😭).

And honestly, I don't understand the comments about the poor plot, because: 1. It's fantasy/SciFi, and 2. They really try to find an explanation for every single thing that happened, which is quite well thought out and shows a more than solid plot! It was really satisfying and more than interesting to watch!!!
Pros: + The chemistry between the main characters is so hot 🔥😳🔥 + Drama with the most and longest kissing scenes💋 + Fantastic main characters! Both are handsome, beautiful, and very talented 😱❤️ + Lovable supporting characters + Well thought-out plot + A dragon 🤣❤️❤️❤️
The only downside (imo) is in the spoiler below...
is the ending worth it / happy ? do they have some triangle in there ?
This drama is awesome and totally worth the watch. I’ll definitely rewatch in the future. The chemistry between the mains is pure fire and the plot is coherent imo (it’s fantasy! But they do try to explain everything as good as possible) And I wouldn't necessarily call it a love triangle, but there is an SML (but he's super cute and very considerate of the main characters' relationship).
Still my favorite xianxia of all time ❤️ (doesn’t need overused tropes, has the best couple ever, a quirky male lead and a strong female lead, as well as lovable supporting characters and an interesting plot) ❤️❤️❤️
Why did I wait so long to watch this? It's great! 😱❤️❤️❤️ I love the humor, it's hilarious (“Now you have to say something (to flatter her)” – ML: “Come here” 🤣).
And it's so perfect that both characters are equally intelligent. Oh, I wish more Chinese dramas would take intellectual women into account and portray them as they are in this one. 😩
It's a sweet drama, I enjoyed it. The actors did a great job, and the scenery was beautiful. The only thing that…
I mean, yes, it's a happy ending, but they talk about a wedding at least three times and that's it? Why didn't we get to see them get married, with the author as the wedding officiant? (And everyone who took part in the drama as wedding guests?) What's that about? That really made me mad, because that would’ve been the most perfect ending ever ☹️
It's a sweet drama, I enjoyed it. The actors did a great job, and the scenery was beautiful. The only thing that frustrated me a little was the passivity of the main actor (I mean, she was more than obvious with her feelings, and he thought for 800 years that she didn't want him and rejected her over and over ...🙄) Anyway, the other thing that made me a little sad was Hiro's story. He deserves someone special too 🥺❤️
Lastly, a brief rant about the ending in the spoiler below…
The location in episode 4 is so beautiful! I guess it's Banff National Park, but where exactly are they when they're sitting on the wooden bench (looking towards the mountain)? Does anyone know?
(for the curious people: she’s 37, he’s 24)
