I don't like her bangs swiped to the side, with her hair up. It doesn't flatter her face. I don't mind her costume. I also don't like TSJ wig/hairline, I think his hair style looks better as Ye Shi Qi.

I hope you will enjoy the novel as much as I did, hah I'm slowly forgetting lots of the moments now. I am not a fan of the Jing character, but I do understand that is the type of person XY needs.

The debates continue because of different interpretations by the readers. The reason why XL is such a popular character is that many understand the complexity of these characters. To my understanding, even Jing understands that XL is his rival; otherwise, why would he ask XY to promise him to wait for 15 years? Why did XY store only memories of XL in her mirror? Do both still have this Lover Bug, indicating they are still in love? From my past viewing experience of Tong Hua drama adaptations, XY shares similarities with her other heroines (Da Mo Yao, Bu Bu Jing Xin, Yun Zhong Ge, and Zui Mei De Shi Guang), who never just love one man. The love story is never black and white for the female lead. One of the reasons I like her stories is that the complexity makes them more interesting.

Even before reading the novel, it’s clear as day for me from watching season one that she has both men in her heart. Many international fans did not read the novel and still understood this. This story has complex characters, complex feelings, and a complex love story. It stands out from other fantasy Cdramas. This is one of the reasons why I think it's so popular and well-loved.

I watched the drama first and then read the novel during the long wait for season 2. Personally, I enjoy the novel more. The drama is good, but I don't like some of the changes they made. I wish they had been bolder with XY's character and showcased her intimacy with XL during their 37 years together. I love XL and TJC's performances. I was a fan of XL first, and now I'm a fan of TJC as well. This is also my first time watching Zhang Wang Yi, and I love his portrayal of CX. Personally, I think this is YZ's best work so far. She has always been one of my favorite actresses. I had dropped all her dramas since "Go Go Squid," so I was very happy to fall in love with this one. Although I don't always agree with XY, I feel Yang Zi is doing an amazing job!

Ffyy is pretty strong. She almost killed CX with her bow. I wonder if she can just kill TJH easily.

Lol the theme of the drama! Who ever save the person, will end up giving themselves to them. Lol

She would have been a badass character, if only she smarter and didn't fall for such an awful person. What did she see in him anyways?
