There were definitely some hateful characters I could have lived without and skipped during my rewatch, bit they're definitely part of the story and shouldn't be skipped when watching for the first time.

Thank you. The first time I finished the drama, the ending felt really hopeful to me, because TTJ would be able to be reborn as a blessing to the world instead of its doom this time. He could finally and deservedly lead a happy life.
Can somebody please explain the ending to me? Is he dead? Stuck in a tomb? Inside the fish scale?
A part of his spirit is inside the Heart Protection Scale, which is one of Ming Ye's dragon scales. In an earlier episode, TTJ repaired the scale using the purest and kindest part of himself. The part that's purely him, untainted by the Devil God. That's the part of him that survived in the scale. He's recuperating in the scale and in time will be able to be revived.
After waiting for so long, I finally started this drama since all the episodes became available on Netflix in my region.
Just finished episode 4 and so far I'm liking it. Obviously, the story hasn't really picked up yet, but I'm enjoying it.
Ren Min is adorable and does fit the character so far. I do hope that we'll see her character evolve and mature, because a naive and childish FL will get boring pretty fast.
Xiao Zhan is also doing well in this role. I'm hoping his character will evolve as well, but in the opposite way to the FL. I'm hoping to see him come alive and enjoy his life.
The Grand Preceptor is getting on my nerves trying to push the ML into getting revenge. It's obvious he has some plans of his own.
This movie has been on my PTW list ever since it was announced and recently became available on Netflix in my region, so I excitedly watched it.
I enjoyed the movie. The story was interesting and the characters were suitably eccentric.
Yamazaki Kento's acting at times was a little jarring and over the top, mostly in the emotional scenes. I never watched the anime, so I'm not sure if that's where that comes from. If it does, I would at least understand the director's and actor's choice to portray the character that way to keep him reminiscent of the original. Although, it would have been less jarring if it was toned down a little to fit with the rest of the cast and the tone of the movie.
The editing is a bit of a mess, which is a common issue with most short length dramas. Thankfully, the story isn't too complicated, so it's easy to follow along even with the bad editing.
The FL is a little on the silly side, childish and naive which definitely seems to match her sheltered upbringing, but can get a bit irritating.
The ML is very stoic and uncommunicative, which enhances the misunderstandings.
Even though they both had flaws, they still were a well matched couple.
Recommend me some similar drama...already watched Truth or Dare. Both were light and fun!
Try these: - The Romance of Tiger and Rose - General's Lady - Love Better Than Immortality - The Eternal Love 1, 2 and 3 - My Uncanny Destiny - King Is Not Easy
All are cute and light dramas. Check them out and see if you end up liking any.
This drama started out with an interesting premise, but ended up being a bit of a chore to finish.
I liked the main couple well enough. They made a cute couple and the dynamic between them was fun. I also enjoyed watching them as separate characters, because both exhibited very endearing qualities while at the same time not being afraid to show their flaws to each other. As far as acting goes, both were neither great nor bad.
What made this drama difficult to finish for me was pretty much everything other than the main couple's story. Most of the side characters were either boring or stupid or infuriating or all of the above. This drama could have benefited a lot from a more focused plot with the elimination of most of the side characters and their stories.

For a short drama, this is acutally not bad.
