I wanted to share a concern I have. Lusi appeared quite different in this role, and I felt that her makeup perhaps…
I wondered at her makeup as well, but I suspect this is a new-ish trend to die eyebrows lighter than the hair colour. It's jarring when you first see it, but I'm growing more used to it as I watch more episodes.
I must say, I loved her outfits though. She was working as a journalist and not really in the corporate world as her husband did even if she did do some financial reporting. Her outfits while doing the financial news reports always seemed so plain and proper behind the desk while her other wardrobe choices were considerably different.
Can you explainwhat happened with Ga Hee and Park Hyo Shin at the end of kdrama Once Again, 2020? She was the…
You raise a good point. They seemed to be very hot for each other as the drama drew to a close, but I didn't get a feeling they were together even though he called her his girlfriend after the shoot. Perhaps he was saying this in front of her employees who were fangirling over him as a compliment to Ga Hee. Regardless, I don't get the feeling that their love affair lasted which is understandable given their age difference and the different paths their lives took at the end.
How did this fall below the 9 point rating? I will never understand how the depth and complexity of this isn't celebrated more. Meanwhile, I can't stop watching this poignant drama.
Yes, but it's not a viable one. You know the SML never stood a chance
I'm rewatching for the 4th or 5th time, the Turkish remake which, in my opinion, is so much better because it's longer so the relationships are nuanced and make sense in a way they don't in the kdrama. There are a lot of twists and turns (again, it's longer), but the chemistry is off the charts. There is a love triangle for sure...but the character arcs help even this make sense. The turkish version makes it easier to sympathize with the FL and thus be invested in their progression in my opinion. (Turkish remake is called "Ask Mantik Intikam" and even the secondary characters are interesting...and sometimes funny!)
i just finished The Best Thing and just loved the fact that it was a really mature romance between to mature individuals.…
This is a much deeper drama which deals with PTSD and an ongoing family issue. It's complex in a way that The Best Thing never was. I love this drama and enjoyed The BestThing too...but I much prefer this one because it's so poignant and the love is so healing and powerful.
The FL was so selfish to get up and leave in episode 25. She told him and herself she wasn't going to do this…
I understand your frustration, but I think her decision to leave is because she believed that while she was with him harm would fall on to him. She saw her tormentor threaten Overtime and knew SY would fight for her and get himself hurt or worse. She didn't see a possible escape from her tormentor and didn't want SY to fall along with her. While I hated the fact that she did it, I understood it too. Hurt people hurt people.
It's almost criminal that this masterpiece has fallen to a below 9 rating! Personally, I can't stop rewatching this. Just so much heavy emotion and depth while still being fresh and even funny at times.
Before this, I thought Hidden Love was perfection...and I still enjoy HL, but the depth and unending love of the TFF is compelling so this drama has more than a slight edge over HL.
The overt pining, the selfless love...just everything about how SY loves WY is magical.
I confess, I couldn't see the ML carrying the mantle of the hilarious and beloved SY from HL, but this ML has exceeded every expectation and brought nuance and depth to this character and his lovestory.
(rewatching for the third time...but this time I'm skipping just for WY and SY storyline)
I'm rewatching it back to back. Nothing else satisfies. I thought it could never rival Hidden Love, but it does in a way that is pure sweetness and warmth. Just lovely.
Cunning Single Lady was one of my first dramas so I'll be there for LMJ doing that one all over again but with…
If you can, watch her in "Once Again", a family drama. LMJ stars opposite Lee Sang Yeob and their chemistry is fire..and they're divorcing too. Such a good drama. Don't let the length of it get in the way of you watching this. So good!
I've watched up to Episode 23 on YouTube with english subs. Can't find any subbed episodes beyond that and I don't want to pay for another subscription to MGTV. Anyone watching the last half of the drama with subs anywhere else?

And the OST is divine too.
