Title Once Again
I'm almost halfway through this at this point. I see that it finished airing today so I look forward to finishing it.

Thus far, I think I still prefer the Korean version of this but I'm happy they've eliminated the father- lost sister angle in the cdrama. I found that so onerous and unnecessary.

the Korean drama is one of my all time favorites.
Me too!

Title Once Again
I have watched the Kdrama so often it's not funny. This so far (only 2 episodes in. Just found it on YouTube) seems to be a quieter, more dramatic version of the original, but I definitely see plot parallels even if the characterization is slightly different.

Looking forward to following this closely. I'm so thrilled that they remade my favourite family kdrama.

Title Once Again
I dropped the Korean version because of na hee, she had such a bitchy personality, always loud and rude to her…
I watched the Korean version so many times I've lost count (one of my favourites actually) and I will agree that the FL playing Na Hee tends to play bitchy selfish roles. She was the same in "Cunning Single Lady". Maybe it's just her thing... LOL!

But in the original, the ML (Na Hee's ex) is at fault too. He allowed his mother to butt in to his marriage and home far too much, had no backbone when it came to his pushy, alcoholic mother and he didn't defend her at work. In fact, he alienated her often siding and making time for other doctors and not her. That had to be tough on Na Hee for sure. Their marriage went through what a lot of marriages do. The couple got too comfortable and took one another for granted and the husband was a big baby to boot. Na Hee did miscarry and she should have prioritized her health and pregnancy more instead of working long hours, but I will tell you the ML (her ex) blaming her for losing the baby during a fight years later was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. I don't blame Na Hee for leaving him after that. How could she continue when she knew he husband resented her?

The Korean version's ML is one of my favourite actors and I love him in that role (particularly his hilarious relationship with his brother which was such a highlight for me), but he was by no means innocent when it came to the demise of the marriage in my opinion,. (which makes his character arc by the end of the drama all the more rewarding)
On OK! Let’s Get Divorced Dec 6, 2024
I seriously can't wait for this. I love Lee Min Jung in divorce trope dramas (although she stuck by her sorry butt husband in real life... there must be more to their story and they do have a son together).

I have seen the Turkish version of this drama, Ask Mantik Intikam (2021-2022).
I'm rewatching (for the 3rd time) the Turkish version. I like it so much more. Perhaps since it's longer they had time to flesh out the story more and give it dimensions that this one doesn't have, but the FL is so much more likeable and the reason for their separation rings true in the the Turkish version.

There's a lot that could be cut from the t-version, but I much prefer it and the couple's chemistry is fire! (the kdrama's chemistry is great too, but I just like the leads in the Turkish version better and they just make more sense in my opinion)

Such a good remake.

Title What Comes after Love Spoiler
I loved this. I don't think you could have done justice to the story and the depth of love and despair you need…
I do feel the ending was rushed and so simplistic. So they meet in the park, they're both runners now and this is what will save them? Their learned lessons from being apart and this newfound shared passion for running and understanding one another will see them through?

Doubtful, but we're supposed to just go with it? I suppose we must, but I feel this does a tremendous disservice to the layers of their relationship and their misunderstanding.

I loved this. I don't think you could have done justice to the story and the depth of love and despair you need to feel if this was merely a 2 hour film but...

Hard agree. This one is perfection.

Title What If
Could you spoil meI just saw a clip on YT Where FL is parting with someone with glasses and he says to take care…
I would if I remembered the situation, but I don't. Perhaps someone else will spoil it for you.

But if you enjoy mature melos, watch this.

This was so unbelievably good! Why does the rating do such a poor job of signalling how good this is?

Thank you to everyone who recommended this show. Thank you so much. 😭❤️Thank you! Thank you! I want more…
Try Alliance (same ML husband. I've just begun this, but he's especially reprehensible in that...and it's such a good drama!)

I enjoyed this but it didn't blow me away even though Shin Min Ah is easily one of my favourite Korean actors. I think it was the ML. I know others saw great chemistry between them but I was sort of "meh" about it all. And I was surprised to find I much preferred the secondary romance led by Lee Sang Yi. I enjoyed him in "Once Again"and find him so endearing and funny here too. The primary romance, however, just didn't do it for me. A solid 7.5/10 though because of SMA and LSY

Seunghyo is a man child. He is painfully childish. Idk why they think its good idea to make this man love interest.…
True. He has not deserved her for sure. It was all about him seeing her thin and frail, but with another man. He ignored her calls and texts and wrapped himself up in his hurt, his feelings.

Like most of us, he is flawed. His parents certainly haven't modelled irrevocable love or connections with others. All he's known is the protection and security he felt with the FL and her family. To think he could be losing that must have hurt him and only brought his abandonment issues to the fore. He may even see himself as his father...in love with a woman who doesn't love him back.

I'm not suggesting you're wrong. You're not...but I'm willing to cut him some slack and give him the opportunity to grow. I think he's got it in him.

Glad to see they're making a concerted effort to bring this back to a rom-com. Love the family scenes, the leads' romance and even the second leads' story. Hope they keep this up!

I'm watching both too because I love the leads in LND, but I just began episode 10.,..still disappointing. I hope this will end on a happier note

I just love this show. I was reluctant to pick it up because I'm watching the currently running Love Next Door, but that's morphed into a disappointment while this has been so lovely .
