Apparently, they weren't just sympathisers or low level activists from what was uncovered, they actively collaborated in a grand way and reaped the benefits to this day... people in the past were stripped of their assets and wealth for less cause it's a treason-that's also why they didn't accumulate any wealth unlike Ha young's family. I'm afraid not only citizens are looking into that now ...it's a mess, poor Ha Young opened a can of worms.

I rather choose to believe that she must be devastated now, especially if she was unaware of her family's dark past.

The issue is that South Koreans themselves often blame their successive governments for not purging pro-Japanese colonialist collaborators when it was due. As a result, many of these individuals amassed enormous wealth (from their evil deeds) and now live very privileged lives, including Ha Young's family. The lingering consequences of their actions continue to impact Korean society to this day. It is a tragic reality for the freedom fighters. Quite dreadful ! Unfortunate, for Ha Young, she was either unaware of it or tone deaf in face of that -regardless she is now reaping consequences . Had her family's assets been stripped along with their citizenship immediately after South Korea gained independence, she might have been able to lead a normal, ordinary life somewhere in Japan. I pity her .Why on Earth her family stayed in South Korea ?! She is kind of a sacrificial lamb now. Her own ancestors f-ckd her over.

You are making a lot of assumptions about me and others. I am not outraged about it at all , I just understand why they are very sensitive about it. I pity her despite circumstances. I am glad she apologised so she can move on and not ruin her own future.

It might appear so to some who were never on the receiving end of injustice . Her family amassed their generational wealth by betraying and killing Korean people .Her whole comfy, rich lifestyle was thanks to this 'blood money' . I am descendant of people and a country that was occupied twice in recent history. Citizens are still traumatised. Anyone who benefited from collaboration with the enemy is still our enemy and it is not taken lightly. It's too fresh. She is doing a good thing now. I don't want her to be cancelled forever.

Ones from Europe-especially those countries that were occupied by Nazi Germany and consequently Soviet communist Russia will totally get it. The gravity of the situation would be quite severe. It is still fresh in the minds of people. Generations of people are still riddled with PTSD, their whole mentality and values based on the significance of these horrific parts of history and events.

If my family were something akin to Nazi collaborators during WWII:wealthy from betraying and ultimately killing their own people-I would never share that openly. I would try to hide it to avoid publicity. The occupation might have been noble in some context( doctors, Hangyang), but the core point remains... I would not be proud of such a legacy. Similarly, if I were a descendant of someone like Dr. Mengele, who did horrific crimes during his lifetime, but just because he was a prominent doctor I would never mention that as a point of pride, even if he had founded a reputable clinic later on or before that.
She is not a child. I don’t believe she’s naive enough to think that’s something to be proud of. One good deed doesn’t erase the past. That seems to be the general sentiment among South Korean citizens regarding the situation. I don’t believe she was endorsing anything malicious, but it’s quite frightening to see her remain so oblivious.
Regardless, I don’t want her to be forever vilified or denied a decent livelihood. It's a sticky situation and I am quite torn.

Oh, human greed will be our undoing. Take your time-stop mass producing mediocre films and dramas on a large scale so you have enough money on this project. Use your imagination a bit more and stop relying so heavily on AI to solve all your issues and problems. There are other venues and tools that can be implemented to make scenes impactful. That was kind of explained ,If I may elaborate a bit: NonGyu finds concrete evidence and video footage which reveals that her brother was the person who ordered the hit on Xinxu's parents and forced Xinxu into secret experiments, subjecting him to torture. After wreaking havoc and causing immense ruin in their lives, her bro commits suicide, intentionally leaving behind a manipulative mess designed to permanently fracture the trust between her and Xinxu.
I should also remind you that her brother was an Affinity B virus carrier, which made him unstable and skewed his views on many things. Xinxu actually tried to save him, but her brother slapped his hand away to ensure his own demise...he was aware that Nongyu was watching. The rooftop incident was the culmination of his malicious plans against Xinxu. In my opinion, he was in a berserk, psycho-like state, even if that meant his own death. He clearly didn't want them to be together-a total control freak!

Sorry for the late reply. By now, you probably figured it out. Yes, he was attracted to her the first time he saw her. Both were carriers of the A and B affinity virus( so there's a biological pull ,she also couldn't deny it), and I believe he genuinely fell for her at first sight-though he didn’t realise it until later. The pull was too strong to resist. He also couldn’t let go of her, because he was madly in love. Over time, this love deepened, and he found it impossible to exist without her as a separate, independent entity. Too much history between them etc.

He does! And I love Seo In Guk. Feels like his soul left his body . He is such a good actor, what happened ?!

His face has always had a slightly feminine, delicate quality, so I'm not sure what exactly has changed. As far as I remember, his features have always been soft and graceful-very youthful! More boyish than manly and mature. To me, he still looks pretty much the same. His type of beauty reminds me of Ahn Jae Hyun.

He is a beautiful man! It's absurd to claim otherwise. He is a very decent actor too. No complaints whatsoever. I'm rolling my eyes reading some of the comments..
