I hope this is also true. Some fans are asking melon owners whether she would do any short dramas during her lengthier break, such as Hutong, but there isn't much word that she will. I believe she was fortunate in her early years to release three dramas every year, and now she can carefully evaluate her characters and the dramas she chooses.
The best relationships are really no relationships in Cdrama world. Small things are often exaggerated in fan circles. I feel like she may work more with to-be-exploded male leads rather than liuliangs because she currently has enough achievements to be in the first-name position in the dramas, and popular male leads may not consider taking the second position.
From the melons I read, many to-be-filmed cdramas are being postponed ( not sure why, but it could be because of multiple factors). After Shenyin, she may take a longer break and start filming again in July/August. This next drama would likely be 珠帘玉幕 ( Pearl Curtain and Jade Curtain (direct translate).) An original script set in the Tang Dynasty and involves the jewelry business.

Don't get me wrong, I don't find any issues with the influence of low-budget dramas, after all, TROTR was considered a dark horse in the industry, considering how unexpectedly it became a success despite the budget.
But an actor/actress does have to consider whether taking a low-budget drama after they have reached a certain level of success may make people think that the industry may not be so confident in the actor/actress's standing in the industry. After all, higher-budget dramas usually mean better costume designs, better-set designs, etc. And these are important as people become pickier when actors/actresses become more popular.
If TROTR 2 gets a better budget, would we get the main casts? Maybe, but we must consider whether typecasting is good for an actor/actress in the long run. For example, for ZLS, CQQ is an important character that helped get her name out in the industry. But for a long time, it was also a character that made people only think that she could act in characters similar to CQQ, and even certain characters she played would get compared to CQQ. So I can also see why she may not choose to act on TROTR 2 again since CQQ may become a more vivid character in the audience's mind and not help her in her future dramas when she acts as different characters.

This means that without official announcements, the probability of the drama happening is still 50/50. Anyways if this drama would have S2 with different casts, I'm just going to say I would respect them in advance.

Honestly feel that this would be one of the more challenging characters that Lusi would have to act, especially if her different reincarnations = different personalities. Even Ayin and Fengyin are different. She is essentially acting out multiple characters in one drama.

If the drama can remain to be female-centered it would be great because this novel is female-centered; the world-building and the conflicts in the novel all revolve around Ayin, the "female protagonist." So I would like to correct you there that this novel/drama was not titled "the story of the son of Bai Ju and Shang Gu," but "Hidden God/Shen Yin" even from the title itself, you can expect a story about some form of female character discovering herself.
