Hate the AI in the beginning. It looked so obvious and jarring. I had to pause and decide if I was really willing to go on. (I was. For now.)
I wonder how much nours resemble "typical" vampires - jk, there's no such thing as "typical" vampires. But I wonder what bits and bobs of lore they might use here and what will be original, thought and written specifically for the show. I love reinterpretation as much as I love novelty, so I'm here for both.
The actor who plays James looks amazing. Such a different, cool face, and he suits the character well from what I've seen. I thought he'd be colder and/or cooler from his first appearance, but he's actually more outgoing and tease-y than I expected.
Ken is so archaic when it comes to dealing with tech and I adore him for it. Typing on his laptop using two fingers, barely able to deal with his old-school cell phone... It's a trope I enjoy when it comes to vampires and other unaging so-called immortals, and I wonder if they'll make him learn more or keep him anachronistic all the way through. I'm also into how his aloofness might possibly have been caused by his repeated attempts to die and his lack of connection with humankind. It's the sort of thing that ressonates with me for some reason! I blame watching Interview with the Vampire when I was 9, or starting The Vampire Chronicles when I was 10, or perhaps beginning my journey reading Vampire - The Masquerade corebooks and side-books when I was 11... Yes, I'm autistic. How did you know? :P
I've only watched the first episode (no time today!) but I already love Chita. Please don't be secretly evil, Chita. And take good care of him, Doctor Ji~
I dropped it after only 2 minutes because of the use of AI, I was excited to start this series, and now I am very…
That first AI scene annoyed me too, but at least I was prepared since there was a warning right at the beginning. I hope it's only used sparingly and in less obvious ways than that first scene, or I'll have a hard time not dropping. -_-
I agree that Leng is the best thing in that show and the main reason I'm still watching, but I don't have any issues with august - just with the pacing, the absurd amount of distinct plotlines and the random cooking-related scenes.
(I haven't had the guts to watch the most recent two episodes of Knot, though.)
Not to come off as a rude person, but I think it was quite obvious. First of all,The 200 years old immortal has…
In my limited experience, no one is more hesitant to change than the elderly. People get stuck in their own ways and dream of 'how things were', so adopting new technology is frequently met with derision and mockery.
It's common in vampire and other immortal/unaging characters in other media, too, from Highlander to The Vampire Lestat (in the books, he gives in and accepts an iphone, but he constantly calls it a glass slab that annoys him and avoids using it lol) to What we Do in the Shadows, and usually contrasted with a younger vampire or immortal who is tech-savyy or an equally old one who tries to be 'hip' and is played for laughs.
Ok, I'm officially intrigued!Anyone who knows how savagely critical I am about my 2 favorite subjects within the…
I've never seen a vampire BL I didn't hate, and that's one of my favorite themes, too. I've just started the first episode, hope I react like you did (despite the weird AI)
But Lil' Jane, it only comes out once a week :O Or do you rewatch it a lot?
Ooh, lemme know if you notice anything different? PS: I'm always on your side, Jennalee, but you were kind of unfair to P' Jane last time. He should've told you earlier about your brother, but he didn't do anything wrong and he understands the issue with favors now. Please forgive him soon. u_u
I don't like cock fighting (or animal fighting in general.) Skipped those scenes.
I'm annoyed that the scene between Pin and Yam was treated as a joke. I actually like them together and thought they deserved more.
That kiss was cute, but underwhelming - the swimming part led me to believe it would be sweeter, and the previous interruptions tricked me into thinking it would last longer. I'd actually rather some sniff-kisses at this point, as long as the whole scene was as tender as the characters deserve.
What do you mean Great woke up in the present? Or is it Gaew in Great's body?? :O Either way, will we ever find out why Great went back in the first place and if he can come back to the future, if you get my drift? It seems like, despite his musings about his grandma, he's given up his old life and wants to stay there with Dech... Maybe it is Gaew in the present and they'll both just stay in the wrong period :OOOO
amazing!!cant blv i read all that-and i exactly get what u mean by kaye's father being the killer doesnt match…
Agreed on not being Kaye. It'll annoy me to hell and back if it's him. (and I don't believe those spoilers anyway. People who claim to know never have sourcers, links, anything.)
Is Prim still in a coma? I wish her and Praew had screentime in episode 8 :/

I still wonder if it's him. @_@ Oh well. Can't wait for next week.

And yeah, Praew and Prim are written as completely reckless. :/
