He got clawed in the shoulder and fell down in the middle of a forest - full of branches, rocks and other pointy crap. Some blood on his hands/face is to be expected - and it made Ken thirsty since he's a nour, aka an immortal blood-drinking supernatural humanoid who is similar to a vampire lol (no spoilers here, just what I understood from the first episode alone)

Nour is the term the writers came up with so they don't have to use the word vampire and can come up with their own lore/powers/vulnerabilities without being tied down to the usual expectations (like burning in the sunlight) It's been said BTS material

Chita is decidedly sus, but I think he's a nour (regardless of killing other nour)

While I think Chita is one of the nours the serial killer targeted, but he made it out. But tbh, him being the nour-killing nour is also very possible.

As of now we only know that they do not age, drink blood and recover from most wounds very quickly. They have no issue with daylight. Anything and everything else is unrevealed at this point - they made the word nour up to avoid being lumped in together with 'usual' vampires and have the freedom to create their own lore.

I'm not sure how to help, but I want to try.

It's fairly original (they created their own lore for vampires and gave it a specific name so people would remember some things work differently), intriguing (it's basically a cop show/mystery featuring a serial killer that needs urgent catching), and has characteristics borrowed from gothic romance (it's dramatic, the main romantic relationship has the potential to become deadly, it features characters with morbid obsessions like suicide, and, of course, has supernatural elements).

It also has the usual BL characteristics most people are after - the MC and ML have good chemistry, for starters (at least IMO) The secondary and tertiary couples [!] are building up well without stealing time from the mains. The banter is bantering.

Maybe it'll help if I talk about tropes? There is forced proximity in the beginning, and an almost enemies to lovers situation. For now - 3 episodes in - there are no love triangles, no extra-annoying female characters, and no toxic 2ML. Trigger warnings might include some gore, blood, arson, scarring, consensual and non-consensual blood drinking, murder and suicide attempts. There's also some AI usage (most noticeably in the first scene).

There's an issue with pacing midway through, and the show requires a lot of suspension of disbelief both in its basic premise and when it comes to coincidences helping the plot along, but I enjoyed it, anyway. It's around an 8 for me. Reminds me a little of Ripley, but taken further.

(I rated this in the same way I rate thrillers - not the same way I rate romance. I refuse to try to compare apples and okra just because they're both edible, so I'm not grading okra on sweetness and crispness and I'm not grading apples on being slimy and good in gumbo. It's not the same thing, and it doesn't work the same way.)

Idgi either. It has some unnecessary AI flashbacks that would have gone better if they were just exposition, but other shows have obnoxious AI (Nour, Ash, TPP) and don't get such low ratings. Sure, the story is kinda basic for now, but I think they can and will improve that. (ngl, the first two episodes were underwhelming to me, but I've gotten into the two main characters since, and I got more into the plot, too, even if some of it doesn't make sense... yet)

- Just noticed Nie Chuan was the protag's roommate in Blazing Him. I'd probably have noticed it sooner if his hairstyle wasn't so distracting.

- The dub seems rougher in this show than in the other CBLs I've watched (but I'm still very new to CBL)
