I enjoyed the first episode a lot and I can't wait to see how the rest of the story will unfold, tho I worry already about wherher it will sustain itself or not for 10 episodes. I hope they have enough material and substance to keep the quality consistent for the whole run.

I finally gathered the emotional strength to watch the last episode or so I thought. I couldn't stop tearing up through out as if all the heaviness the characters carried was weighing on me as well. This was an odd journey, I can't find the right words to describe. I was so upset post-ep6 but I couldn't really hate any of them. The show has this rawness to it, it doesn't romanticize or embellish, it just presents these flawed people just as they are in all their moments both good and ugly : complex, conflicting and contradictory because aren't we all like that at some point or another? I won't go into the details of the ending but I liked it. There's the relief of closure and the things gained so they can move forward with life but there's also the sad tinge of regret or maybe nostalgia of what has been lost forever. We started with Mieko and Makio meeting as strangers and we end with them going their separate way (if I'm not mistaken it's the same place in both episodes 1 and 10), maybe not as total strangers again but with an altered bond that will never be the same again. August Is My Name was such a good choice as the final song, it makes me emotional everytime I listen to it now. I didn't expect this drama to impact me this much, I know it will stay with me for the longest time.

For real! That part bothered me so much, that neither In-hye nor the parents even tried to get in touch with them or go back when In-joo went into trial and risked 20 years of prison. Similarly, no sign or a single second spared to see how Hyo-rin reacted to her parents tragic demise, we only see her at the end shining bright as if nothing ever happened

Hello, could I ask where you watched this?

This is a timeless movie. Almost 70 years later and it still rings true and everything feels real and relatable. It's very slow and on the surface nothing is really happening but the older you get, the better you understand it and the deeper it touches you.

Genuinely curious, why is her being possibly asexual reductive? It doesn't define her entire person but it can be an important contributive part to the way she thinks and behaves.

I think I'm with you regarding ep 6, the show kinda lost me with it. I haven't seen 7 to 9 but I will continue watching just to see this mess to its end. One thing I hate in storytelling is dumb choices that follow no logic and are randomly thrown there with nothing to support it and for no apparent reason other than for shock value. I welcome twists and unpredictable turn of events but I need them to still make sense and be convincing even if I don't agree with them. Ep 6 threw that bomb and while I, as a viwer, was having a crisis as to how it can be possible, characters were apathatic and just went with it and it's just so irksome to me. Another comment mentioned how some important points weren't always shown to us and it makes me wonder if this development would have been easier to digest if we were more privy to the innermost thoughts of these characters so we can better understand their reasoning and choices even if they are still terribly wrong and will only lead to disaster...

I guess they're running on a low budget and the episodes are short so there's only this much they can do to tell the story but even then they wasted time on scenes that served to absolutely nothing. It's like we're getting the main points of the plot but there's no progress or build up in between, like why is no one asking any question? How are they all so nonchalant and just going with whatever? And how come Ji-hoon has now a soft spot for Jae-woo? What was the turning point? They barely exchanged lines and none of it was meaningful or helped advance their relationship. I'm not even asking for an intricate time-travel plot à la Someday or One Day or anything, at least convince me there's something developping here >.<
For now, the acting is the main saving grace and I'm willing to come back for it.
