Very possible. I'm just curious why they are allies to begin with...seems like they would be rivals (for the chairman's attention). But anyway, I agree with you...they had to get rid of the common enemy.

I know right...that's what made it even more laughable...that she was serious.

The look on the chairman's face. I loved it.

Regarding your last sentence...I'm not saying I disagree with you, but why do you think that is? If he has enough self-awareness to realize that he's in a bad place, why does someone need to initiate the help to get him out of it...if he can't do it himself then ask for help.

It's almost like the situation where one side of the couple initiates a breakup, then gets mad when the other side doesn't beg to get back together.

It's cool...we don't always have to agree.

To me it looked like Ji Hyeok wasn't really interested in having an in depth conversation at that point. Maybe Seong Jae thought it would be worse to continue to push him about stuff.

As I stated in my comment above, it's fine if it turns out I'm wrong about Seong Jae...it won't be the first time. But as of now, that's how I feel.

Variety is the spice of life.

I watched the scene where Seong Jae is leaving. It was hard to tell what was imaginary vs real, I didn't catch it the first time.

It seemed to me that Seong Jae was just incredibly frustrated with how Ji Hyeok was acting. As he said, Ji Hyeok should just go back and deal with the situation since he was the victim,

Regarding the apt, he had already offered it once, why does he have to offer it again?
Ji Hyeok could have easily said..."Is the offer of the apartment still open?"
I'm going out on a limb and stand behind Seong Jae being a good guy. I may be proven wrong as the drama unfolds, and if so, that's ok as well.

I thought Jihyeok was scolding Seongjae.
@Nexe, I went back and looked at those scenes...
1st time - Ji Hyeok recalls seeing Eun O at the glass company and how he hid from her...he says "fool"

2nd time - repeat the scene with him seeing Eun O at glass company, then flashes to scene where Seong Jae says "you'll come back when you hear from the company you applied to..." then flashes to wedding hall with him standing there feeling humiliated...he says "what a fool"

The other person in truck
says that Ji Hyeok said "fool" over 10 times, but we didn't see anything other than these two times.

Who he is referring to?
I thought he was referring to himself both times.

Oops, sorry, I see now. I don't recall if he said why he didn't just keep on working and not retire. Unless the consultant job was a lighter workload, maybe give him some free time, but still a decent salary? Just guessing...

Wow, reading the comments and not up to ep 6 yet I am feeling really sorry for ML. I really hope he does not end…
The father had accepted another job as a consultant prior to retiring. After he retired, the owner/ceo of the company that offered him the consulting job got sick and the owner's son took over and recinded the offer.
I'm assuming that the father needed the job for financial reasons...maybe no savings or not enough savings to live on.

I commented earlier, but I must have forgotten to hit post!

It's hard to force a grown man to do something unless he wants to do it.
Having said that, Seong Jae could have stayed with him until Ji Jyeoj decided to come home.

One possible reason the ML rejected the FL is that he immediately realized his best friend liked her, stepped…
Right, I know she isn't owed any other explanation. I just don't think "we don't suit" or "you are not my type" is the real reason. Like I commented originally, if she's not his type now, then she would never be his type...so they would not get together at all in this drama. If that is the case where does the romance part of this drama apply? Seong Jae and Eun O? I'm down with that. πŸ˜†

Don't forget the riddle like conversation between Ji Hyeok and Seong Jae about who couldn't get involved with Eun O and who shouldn't get involved with her.

EDITED TO ADD...So Ji Hyeok takes himself out of the running because Seong Jae likes her, but then tells Seong Jae he (Seong Jae) can't be with her?

She was not his type.
I really truly believe that is not the real reason. If that is the real reason, then they will/should never be together.

Maybe that is what the writers are planning?

Title Our Golden Days Spoiler
At this point (haven't watched 6 yet)...I think I'm rooting for Seong Jae and Eun O.🀣

Originally, I thought it would be Ji Hyeok and Eun O since they are the mains, but then she annoyed me with her adoration of Ji Hyeok and her refusal to accept his rejection (which by the way, I'm still very curious as to the real reason why he rejected her). Also annoyed with Ji Heyok's sort of high-handed behavior with Seong Jae concerning who can and can't or who shouldn't date Eun O.

So I though, ok, why not Eun O and Seong Jae...I personally like his character and I think
he is stronger than he appears and he certainly cares about her. Break the mold and have the Fl and 2ML get together...and not just temporarily.

I also sort of admired Eun O for her outburst at Ji Hyeok...even though she still maybe wasn't happy with his rejection or accepting it. It's been replaced by anger because her
image of him is broken. She now thinks he is not on the righteous path she thought he was
on. She feels betrayed. I was like...go girl...tell him off!

Regardlless of what the real rejection reason is, it's logical to me that she would think the
real reason for rejection was her background/social status. 1 point in favor of Seong Jae.

But after the wedding fiasco, I'm afraid she will go right back to the previous situation with Ji Hyeok. I'm hoping she doesn't. I say stay alone for now and focus on your career, get that stepmother job completed and make money and gain confidence. The maybe start dating Seong Jae (unless or until there is a birth secret reveal).

If the writers want JiHyeok and Eun O to be together, the make him work hard to get her.

Onward!

Hope we get to see in the next episode what Eun O said to the bride.
I didn't even give that a thought. Are you thinking it's possible that Eun O said something that caused Bo Ah to decide to go back to her ex?

I did wonder why Bo Ah waited till minutes before the ceremony to bail. Then I figured that she was banking on all the confusion to give her time to get away...still thinking it was a spontaneous action.

My next thoughtπŸ€ͺ was this was her plan all along. If so, it was a pretty trashy thing to do to Ji Hyeok.

Did it never cross Stella's and Lucia's minds that Lucia is putting herself in grave danger in the name of Revenge?…
Doesn't seem like it. It seems like they totally underestimated their enemies.

If we are rooting for Lucia and Stella to get their revenge, don't we want to see them succeed because they had a finely executed plan and outsmarted the Mins, not just lucked out and succeeded...or even worse, the plan succeeds even when it's not plausible because they are the protagonists in a drama.

I wanted to see an intricate, complex revenge plan, with every contingency planned for and nothing left too chance! But, I realize that getting that means we lose all the tension and suspense...
