Hi, can you tell me who mari's father is? Was it Poong Ju? Also, did not expect KangSe to know his biological…
Yes, PoongJu was, in fact, Marie’s biological father. As for KangSe, his father was one of Mr. Lee’s former students, a connection that lingers in the background until it gently comes to light.
Though the final episodes may feel a little stretched, the drama still carries a certain charm, like a story that stumbles near the end, but never quite loses its heart. I’d still say it’s worth the journey.

Finally, it’s over!! Even though I found the whole storyline about KangSe’s biological father pretty dull, I really liked the ending. They truly deserved their happiness. PoongJu and Sira were absolutely adorable in the wedding scene. I laughed so much at how flustered everyone got over their “boldness”. lol

I really liked this episode. As much as Marie loves MinBo like a dad, it’s undeniable how much she looks up to PoongJu, and the feeling clearly goes both ways, since they’re so alike. Their bond really shows in the little looks and gestures. The Inhyeong Bbobkgi scene was just too cute!

I really like PoongJu and Sira, but it is deeply unfair that KangSe would even consider breaking up with Marie because of him. To make the situation even worse, the girl has to endure the constant attacks from the unbearable Song Mi Ryeong. Given how much Sira, MinBo, KangSe, PoongJu and KiSik love and protect Marie, I have no doubt that they will eventually join forces to finally get rid of that psychopath. lol

The drama keeps getting better with each episode. I love how KangSe is doing his best to protect his relationship with Marie, despite PoongJu’s involvement with Sira. As for PoongJu’s ex, she would be the perfect match for GiSik: two equally unbearable characters.

MinBo lost SiRa by misinterpreting her and abandoning the family they had built together for several years. Even…
Sira acted selfishly and wronged MinBo by deceiving him to have Marie, but she ultimately paid a heavy price when she was left alone to raise her daughter. As time passed, both moved on with their lives. Sira sought forgiveness, was forgiven, and finally closed that chapter of her life. This does not mean she no longer cares for MinBo or appreciates him as a person, she simply no longer sees him as a man in her life. MinBo is a good person, and surely the writer has a happy ending in store for him.

MinBo lost SiRa by misinterpreting her and abandoning the family they had built together for several years. Even so, there was mutual forgiveness, and he now maintains a harmonious relationship with her. As for Marie, nothing will change, as she truly loves him as a father.

Has anyone noticed that Sira has a lot of class, compared to her cousin and her friend? That might be the subconscious…
Suk Hui and Eon Gyeong are two frustrated women who have always considered themselves superior to Sira because of her poverty and naivety. However, when conflicts arise, they lose control and resort to petty actions.

I’m really enjoying this drama. Sira and PoongJu are absolutely adorable, just like Mari and KangSe. I can’t wait for the chaos that will unfold when Mari discovers her father’s true identity... and even more so to see the unbearable GiSik get what he deserves.

The teasers for this drama look really promising, and I’m really excited to see Nam Ji-hyun on screen again. She always delivers amazing performances.

Se Mi and YC running to their parents at their age is so cringe.
The grown-ups in this drama are basically angry teens. Kinda funny, really.

SJH/HN sings well, but what a cheesy declaration. 🤣 Even Koreans say the childhood scene (ep 58) felt forced…
HR showed she was capable of anything the moment she chose money over her family (her young daughter included). If she had at least fallen madly in love with TS, I could try to understand her. But that’s not the case.

I agree that a lack of chemistry isn’t a major issue in a revenge drama, especially since the narrative largely centers on JW and HR. Still, if the writer intended to introduce a romance and hoped viewers would root for it, a bit more care should have gone into aligning the storytelling with the emotional connection. As I’ve mentioned before, JW and HN make a lot of sense on paper; unfortunately, the execution didn’t quite deliver.

When it comes to JW and SH, I did feel a spark there, particularly because of the intriguing backstory that could have created a meaningful obstacle for them... but that angle was ultimately abandoned. Oh well.

I think the show was trying show her clearly drawing a line with SH. By his own words what she told him deeply…
JW confused me for a while, especially when she went to SH’s office to ask for a second chance and then apologized to his bedridden mother for not being able to stay by his side. But your assessment is spot on: she’s extremely similar to HR, who used the excuse of an overwhelming love to abandon her own family in pursuit of a luxurious life. Only later did she admit that money was all that truly mattered to her. It’s basically the pot calling the kettle black. Her reaction was undeniably odd, something that was also widely pointed out on Korean forums. A person with “good morals” would, at the very least, feel shaken by deceiving others. It feels like the author has been trying to course-correct along the way, which is exactly why everything comes across as so awkward.

Childhood romances are usually captivating, especially in revenge dramas, because they carry that “I know you better than anyone else” feeling. The problem here lies in the execution. The author seems to have forgotten this and portrayed the relationship as if it were entirely one-sided (HN > JW). Some Korean viewers even joked that this kind of confession would only make sense near the very end of the drama, around ep 85, since nothing has actually been resolved so far. They attribute this sudden change in direction to the backlash JW received from the audience.

JW had drawn that line a long time ago. Returning the ring was nothing more than a formality. I found her speech ironic, because it’s not as if she had been deceived by SH and he simply moved on with someone else. He was, in fact, the victim of her scheme, discarded the moment he was no longer useful. There is no real comparison with HN: her accomplice, devoted and unwavering, regardless of whatever crimes she commits, including identity fraud. It’s obvious that, at least in theory, their relationship is more likely to work precisely because it isn’t built on lies. She never used him as a stepping stone the way she did with SH.

SJH/HN sings well, but what a cheesy declaration. 🤣
Even Koreans say the childhood scene (ep 58) felt forced and should have been shown earlier, so these “romantic” and “mutual” moments could actually have an impact. Maybe, my perception is just clouded by their lack of chemistry.

Ns still cares fr hn. Stupid guy doesn’t deserve anything good
HN is painfully boring. I get that he was shaken by his father’s death, but he doesn’t seem to understand NS at all, and ironically, she treats him “better” than she does her own daughter, YC.

It’s so ironic that JW is upset over SH’s “new” marriage and YC’s supposed “pregnancy”, to the point of calling his love superficial, when just a few episodes ago she was rejecting all of his pleas to get back together, demanding that he accept their new reality (as half-siblings), and constantly getting caught in compromising situations with HN... Now she’s acting like the one who was betrayed, the victim of the story. If she doesn’t want SH, someone else definitely does. lol
