I disagree with you. I would not call him an awful actor but he gets typecast, which is why it seems like he is always playing the same one dimensional character. I would describe his acting as serviceable. I would love for him to try a villain role that would be something. Unfortunately he often plays the epitome of the Uke stereotype. Also it's not just him but also the direction he is given. Interesting enough most of his shows have the same director (coincidence? I think not)

Concerts are planned out in a way to have peaks and valleys in the sense of you don't have just uptempo dance songs but also midtempo and ballads in-between to have for one variation but also a breather. If they still insisted on doing it that way I would have done it differently like in a exclusion process. Like if you feel someone is not good enough in this round (even during the performance) turn their backlight red or something to exclude them from proceeding during this round (like a real battle royale) until you have the number of people for this peticular star level. That way everyone still has the same chance but you don't have to exhort the ones that don't have the ability for this level anyways

In my head canon the last couple of episodes are just a hallucination as she is dying of starvation, blood poisoning and hypothermia in the cabin in the woods (for me that makes more sense)
