That arrogant behaviour as if he is better than everyone else even though he has nothing apart from his fancy "education" and even trying to leech off his daughter's and ex wife without doing anything for them. HS has been conditioned that her father's disappearance is the most impactful thing in her life. So this has to be dealt with. It's really sad that TH is put on the back burner because of this but she had to live with this for 25 years. She witnessed all the suffering up close especially from her mother.
