I know it is to prolong the story but I think it was sooo obvious (not to us the audience because we knew but to TM) that whatever Mr right hand man of evil mother was saying to her on the phone was to divert from something else. The way he gave a long detailed exposition of whatever situation he was supposedly describing is way too suspicious. Why would he suddenly give so much information to a "situation" nobody talked about. Also the way he was talking to TM and not her who is on the phone with him and also suddenly very quit...I thought TM was smarter. But we have seen too many times he only hears what he wants to hear
