I feel the same about this director. Even tracked down his previous short works and watched them. Zeng is that rare breed of directors who really knows how to use his camera to tell a compelling story that hooks me in from the first scene.

I saw the Baidu page of this drama indicating 24 episodes for this drama.

Yes, I feel the same. I hope the drama adaptation will have less scenes of Chu Rui, especially in the latter half of the story. This was the portion that I wished the author hadn’t written in. Same with that emperor’s obsession with the late duke’s wife. Duh!
