This show is a great show if you never had a wattpad phase at fourteen, or just never grew out of that wattpad…
the wattpad phase comment rings so true, especially within the bl community oml. watched this when it came out and thought that i had watched a completely different show from the one people were describing.
imagine being thrown off by the fact that somebody accurately and logically explains their opinion instead of just resorting to childish and petty responses like you do... this is a review site, of course they are going to leave their review 💀💀
'sheer ridiculousness' where? it was actually kinda obvious that Pimfah had something for Sailom since episode…
lol i think you misunderstood me-- i had a vague feeling pimfah liked sailom from earlier episodes, but the actual scene of kang putting his lock on pimfah's while pimfah put her lock on sailom's was so funny to me, secondhand embarrassment hit hard. the 'total mess' is referring to this messy love triangle
ik the ending of ep5 was supposed to be serious and heartbreaking but im sorry, i was giggling so hard out of the sheer ridiculousness of it all, this is a TOTAL MESS. love triangles are not my thing but i hope the best for pimfah (wouldve liked napdao as her love interest if she werent literally her teacher)
perth and chimon have been doing pretty good on the acting front but the script itself really depends on your tolerance/preferences. eps 1 & 2 have a lot of bullying (ranging from physical violence to sexual harassment to detrimental false rumors), but 3 & 4 focus on developing a closer friendship between the two mains (one of whom is a hardcore bully and the other who was on the receiving end of his bullying).
its been moving pretty quickly as of now, but i think that's to make way for a bigger plot point regarding chimon's character & his brother's loan sharks. thus far, there isnt really anything remarkable about the plot itself but production and acting are pretty good.
if the bullying had instead been lighter teasing I'd have zero complaints but the whole 180 in 3 episodes feels…
mhm, feels really quick especially when you consider the sexual harassment, constant physical violence, and the fact that kang made a false rumor of sailom being a p*dophile. am anticipating the serious, proper apology to both sailom & his friends before i begin to gaf about kang.
The one nitpick I do have is this strange dynamic with the father. It is simply not written well so far.He is…
i was feeling this way while watching the series-- didnt know how to describe it but you put it perfectly. i understand that kang is hurt by the fact that his father doesnt expect anything of him (i.e. 'he doesnt think i can accomplish something on my own and it hurts my ego') and i think the scene of his dad buying the motorbike anyway emphasizes that, but so far it really does feel like his dad is trying to be there for him, even if it isnt manifested in the way kang needs it to be.
Perth and Chimon's interactions have definitely made a bigger impression on me than anything else about the show.…
oop i felt that 2nd point in my soul-- the plot is very cliche atp and i started watching this for solely for perth & chimon, if this was done by unfamiliar actors i most likely wouldnt have tuned in (gmm is in their chronic flop era, many of their bl releases so far have been tired and tropey, including this one).
although it is a bit rough around the edges, you can always tells when a production puts actual thought and care into the storytelling they do, and it was very evident in this series. all the actors but especially the main two put 150% into their performance, and i loved their dynamics.
imo the finale was quite predictable but i felt full by the end of the series, grandma stayed the mvp throughout. tan's character building in particular impressed me-- i went from hating his character viscerally to loving him a lot, which is not something i expected when i started watching this.
overall a well rounded show that understood good pacing and narrative building (even if technical execution wasnt always the best).
Everyone’s saying they r remaking season 1 so wait r they remaking it with different ppl? And so the plot will…
idk if its gonna be the same company reproducing this so its likely the plot will have variations-- blueming s1 was actually quite different from the source material after the first couple of episodes, so there is a lot of room for plot restructure if it gets remade. just sad that s2 might not happen, i really wanted the bawoo x hoon storyline :((
What are they making Film wear? Blouses? Please, save us from those seme/uke clichés....
and here i was, halfway through the series thinking that chan was the top 😂😂
real talk though, i agree that these cliches are overused in the industry but despite that, the only real indicator that he'd be cast as the bottom for me was thai bl's affinity for 'pretty' bottoms (seeing as tin's actor looks more stereotypically masculine). other than that, his personality was *nothing* like a stereotypical bottom's, his dominant and assertive mannerisms really had me thinking he was one of those overbearing tops until i came across your comment (though i was hoping for a switch dynamic in this show). his character is a rich and eccentric lawyer, and i think his wardrobe suits that archetype very well!
I have dropped after 2 episodes, it was very boring >.< Maybe it will become better or more exciting over the…
watched this through and through bc i am starved for gl content regardless of the quality, but when taking the work into unbiased consideration, this show is a mess. shots are weird at times and the plotline kind of loses itself a couple episodes in, and the girls have a lot of unnecessary ups and downs. if you are looking for a top notch quality show i'd agree, youd be wasting your time. the last episode has a cute wedding scene, tho!
really good show!!! i think the intimacy was done well and the overall pacing was good. the only qualm i have with this is the way jaewon's relationship with eunji and taehyung were handled... i know they are very close friends and that in real life, bad people get away with the things theyve done,,, but having the last episode be the two of them give up on their wrong ways, apologize, and get away with a slap on the wrist after being so awful for the ENTIRE show was enraging to watch. i know forgiveness is important and in-line with jaewon's character but jaewon didnt owe them a SINGLE thing after they way they treated him, least of all forgiveness. it wouldve been better to just cut them off entirely.
im quite excited for this-- im not familiar w sammon as a writer but the adaptations of her works that ive seen have been pretty solid (manner of death being one of my favorite shows ever). bible seems to match well w the darker themes she tends to use, and i really hope they cast a suitable costar for him!
