Can someone spoil the last 2 episodes for me. I have not watched them. Sorry! Iām not really feeling this series.…

episode 9: ming gets a call about joes remains being found and they're confirmed to be joe's. joe sol and wut go to confirm as well, and joe has a breakdown over the death of his body. ming sets up a funeral for joe where joe sol and wut also attend, where ming is basically catatonic the whole time looking at joes photo. when joes body is being cremated, joe gets angry and starts shoving and yelling at ming who begins crying, asking why he is crying now, and sol and wut have to drag him away. they talk about sol buying joes remaining properties and ming interrupts to say that joes possessions are his possessions and he's going to burn all of them because its his right. later that night joe sneaks into his old house to get his belongings and ming is waiting there for him, saying he knows joe is the old joe and wants to start over. joe pushes him away and goes to sols press conference as his on screen partner. ming also shows up by pulling some strings and gets joe into his car with him, where he begs for a second chance and joe says no. the episode ends with them standing on the road with ming hugging joes back and telling him he loves him.
episode 10: they go to joes old home together and ming cooks joe dinner trying to compensate n stuff. they talk about their situation and fall asleep. apparently tong is in debt over a bad investment, and he asks ming to give him money which ming refuses. ming goes over to new joes house and gets close with his mom, that night they have another nc scene which is more loving and emotional. mom catches them in the morning and joe introduces ming as his boyfriend. ming tong and joe encounter each other after ming goes to get joe a good acting job, and tong realizes how close they are. he asks to meet with them both to apologize to joe for taking his name out of the movie's stunt credits, but when they get there ming's mom is there to call joe a golddigger and demands that ming help tong. joe wants to call their relationship off because hes tired of being in this rich people mess, and the episode ends with ming coming out to his dad in retaliation before his mom or tong could do so.
i only watched this for poom so i guess i was expecting more, but the showrunners are foul for hinting at a possible guy & oab relationship on the very last episode, then not properly following it up. i feel like they would have been a more interesting couple to focus on rather than shin & peach's bland and repetitive relationship.
I don't feel good about homophobia popping up as a major plot point when before that everyone was doing whatever…
i agree with a lot of this but i want to add on something about the mom-- i feel like her shipping/overwhelming support comes from a place of guilt *because* of the accident, and the fact that she just wants her son to be in a happy relationship rather than the toxic one with the other guy (dont remember his name). i dont think we can really hold the joe swap against her because she doesnt even know her son is dead. but yeah i felt so awful for joe #2, he didnt even get the chance to survive and fix his life the way joe #1 did. i wish there was more focus on him too, since his life is the reason joe got a second chance in the first place.
ming is a batsh*t crazy loser but i promise he is not as bad as vegas is
- pining over his brother in law & uses joe as a substitute - constantly gets jealous, then puts joe down & accuses joe of cheating - assaults & kidnaps joe, somehow gets blindsided when joe doesnt trust him anymore - joe dies & he refuses to believe it for 2 years - you could argue that he is not a 'loser' in terms of career/money but despite all of that he still grieves for joe - uses someone as a replacement AGAIN - (as far as episode 9) still keeps in close contact with tong - still uses the same power tactics with the new joe - finds out joes body is dead - (as of episode 9) joe essentially wants nothing to do with him
i meant loser as in 'cannot emotionally regulate' and 'crappy partner,' and losing streak as in 'constantly makes bad decisions and his life is unfortunate,' not in terms of wealth or career but in terms of personality and relationships.
tbh, i think this is better than fort and peat's last project together (which i really disliked lol). their acting has gotten better and though there is argument about the plot/no plot, personally i think the storyline is an improvement compared to whatever happened in love in the air.
