They'll never make me like Ten. He's a traitorous backstabber who has an inferiority complex that he tries to cover up by behaving like a self righteous asshole to everyone around him.
I just started this but the editing is driving me insane. Why are they cutting back and forth so fast like that with the 2 stories? It's giving me whiplash. Edit; just finished, it was ok.
Please can someone tell me if Gaew and Great are the same persons. And Great is the future self of Gaew who is…
We don't know this yet but,
SPOILER FOR THE ORIGINAL LOVE DESTINY . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Kadesurang was not Karakade reincarnated. I will not spoil why here, though. Based on how this is going, I don't think they're keeping the same plot, so it's possible that Gaew reincarnated as Great, but also still possible that he didn't.
This was a really good series. A little too much about the sister, maybe, but overall very good. The chemistry…
I saw your comment about the novel, so I checked for you. It's not fully translated, but novelupdates says the translator is MochiStar Cafe, if you wanted to go look.
I haven't read the novel, but my take on that kiss is that Taeseon is attracted to Chaeha and pissed off about…
The choking makes sense, it’s just the kiss that feels weird. I didn’t find him having attraction to Chaeha at that time tbh. But I know the novel has around 200 chapters, or so I heard, so I figured it was from them trying to force pacing and it turning out awkward.
I just finished this, it was ok for me. I'm not blown away like many others, but this is a real standout for KBL at least. And wow, Yoonsik can ACT. But can someone who has read the novel explain why in episode 2 Taeseon kissed Chaeha after choking him?? It felt so out of character at that moment for me and kinda bothered me the entire show because I kept thinking about how it made no sense for him to do that at that point. Is there some explanation or inner monologue that explains why he did that in the novel????
That Dao got killed by goblins lol. Arthit was so disturbed by it that he made North find a game where you can kill a lot of goblins so that he could avenge Dao 💀
I wish they had fewer side-characters and no third couple. It's weird to think this MC has been doing the stuff…
Mm, I agree. They just can't properly execute the historical parts in the timeframe given, so they shouldn't be trying to suddenly focus on it when Great is so different to Kadesurang. They're letting him be his own character, but not letting him really do much. That durian scene was such a time waster. I'm still holding hope that they can rescue the pace in the coming episodes, but I wouldn't be surprised if they falter.
This is really starting to show pacing issues. The original Love Destiny had a large focus on real historical figures. Kadesurang was in the archaeology field, specializing in Thai history. There was ample runtime to develop through these things, they didn't feel like they jumped out of nowhere. This new version is trying to shove in the King Narai plotline, and I can see how it's already confusing people. Great doesn't have a background in Thai history like Kadesurang did, so he isn't sticking his nose into historical events like she loved to do. That's one reason why the pacing feels disjointed. They need to stop wasting runtime that they could be using to make people less confused about why suddenly we have these new characters popping up. Also, give us more character development, please? I feel like we barely spend time with our leads. We simply don't have enough episodes.
I am so glad they didn't go with Arthit's nightmare from the book lol...anyway, I'm so sad that I have to part with them again. They're my favorite of the series and of the books. Thankfully they gave us a really good special episode. Fah and Phoon's special episode felt kinda like a nothing burger, so I was a little bit worried about how they were going to handle this one, but my worries washed away immediately as soon as it started.
My biggest complaint is that the pilot followed the novel, but the series didn't. It's 2026, so it's time to not…
And then you have shows like Goddess Bless You From Death, which took the lesbian female character Darin, turned her into a man in the series and then had him date Sey. I loved GBYFD but ugh, that change I was not happy with.
