I just started this and I'm on episode 3 rn. During the search history scene I had to pause, switch tabs and then scream into my hands out of embarrassment for Jiwon lmao.
Well, I wasn’t going to read the novel because I didn’t want spoilers, but then I read it anyway lol. They’re doing a really good job with this adaption, the tone is just right. And I love the improvements to it too. Makes me really excited to see how they’ll handle the rest of the story.
Really? Which part? I thought it was bizarre how he couldn't accept food from his bf even if his friends beside…
Hm, I think it’s a feeling only lgbtq+ people can fully grasp, and it’s also not the same for everyone in the community either. Different environments and cultures come into play too. For me, while my sister is a lesbian and is supportive, no one else in our family is.

Because as an lgbtq+ person, you’re hyper aware of how society is towards our community. Even if you feel like you’ll be accepted by the people around you, you’re never 100% sure. People turn on you all of the time. Even if you come out to another community member, shaking that anxiety off is very hard to do. Anxiety is also not always rational.

I see why you might think that but I, a lesbian, felt immense anxiety coming out to my LESBIAN SISTER. And then I had so much anxiety over it for like several weeks, even though logically, you’d think it’d be all glitters and rainbows, because we are both lesbians. It’s very possible that Shane could be feeling a similar anxiety, even knowing that KimMon is right there.
