FAVOURITE LINES FROM OUR UNWRITTEN SEOUL ( EP 1- 8)
The best part about the show for me is the dialogue!!! the way I resonate with it..the way it feels like the writer is taking a page out of my own book...hearts off to the writer.
No matter how pathetic it looks.. anything you do to survive is brave
Thinking about the past only brings regret and thinking about the future only brings anxiety.
Yesterday is over, tomorrow is yet to come, Today is yet unknown.
Am I living like this because of the way Iam? Or IAM I like this because of the way I live.
Why do I end up attacking myself in moments I most need to protect myself?
You only truly understand something's after getting them wrong.
Being unemployed is a fight between your own mind and the clock..
It's been a while since I put my effort into something.. I shouldn't have expected to do well But i really wanted to do a good job
If you don't know the full story..it's better to keep quiet sometimes.
People who get swayed by gossip..don't care about the truth
No one really sees me for who IAM..so I just go along with what people want to see.
It doesn't matter where go..Iam still me.
Every one assumed id do well As if it were a given.. I was afraid of not meeting expectations and of disappointing my self. The fact that nothing was certain made me anxious And I was scared I'd live that way forever.
There is no point proving something that isn't true..if the people by your side know the truth then that's enough...
If you don't let go..you can't grab onto something else..so let's grab onto any happiness, goodness and joy we can find.
I couldn't do anything about the pain..but I could choose not to cry.
Feeling alone within a family is lonelier than being alone anywhere else.
As long as I pretended that I was fine..I'd seem whole on the outside.
Something's are better seen in the dark.
There's is no such thing as perfect timing..nothing in this world is perfect
Giving birth doesn't automatically make you a mom.
Just because you like something doesn't mean that you can do it.
People don't need alot of reasons to hate some one.
I spent days in silence, keeping to myself so no one would see how vulnerable I was..inside the layers of bark I had built up in my wish to become a tree..there are fragile feelings trapped within..unable to grow.
how will they wrap up so much stuff in just 4 episodes?😭
each episode is an hour and 20 all they need to do is make the last episode longer by twenty minutes that's what most series have been doing lately...they make the last episode one hour and forty minutes
Miji and Hosu's dating era is so cute..the way they captured the awkwardness..the cuteness..the confusion..I loved every minute of it.
Then the slow burn, relaxed simplicity of Mirae and Sejin's relationship is also something IAM loving...Their interactions are beautifully understated: shared meals, farm work, and the gentle exchange of conversation. He shares, she listens, and now, she's finding her voice, encouraged by his support. When she's lost or uncertain, he offers guidance, drawing from his own experiences. Their similarities and differences create a perfect balance, with shared vulnerabilities strengthening their bond. I adore them....I really hope they get a little more screen time...
Miji, after losing her dreams, experienced a profound sense of disorientation and fear, yet she perseveres by adopting a positive, day-by-day approach to life.
Mirae's character is depicted as a symbol of endurance, choosing to become a metaphorical tree, but in doing so, she internalizes her emotions, masking her vulnerability and living in constant fear of failure, ultimately leading to her emotional decline.
Hosu, grappling with the disintegration of his seemingly perfect life, sees himself as beyond repair.
Sejin, burdened by the regret of his grandfather's absence, seeks redemption by cherishing what he once neglected.
This collective portrays a group of individuals striving to live, their growth intertwined with the persistent echoes of past pain and the ongoing battle for healing.
She is not his biological mother 😮😯I did not see that coming
I sort figured that out when they showed a flash back of when he and his dad got into an accident and they said they were on their way to visit his mom( who was no more )
Mirae is emotionally closed off but she isn't mean or selfish...yes she gets lost in her own world and let's her…
I'll start with point number three, when they switched Mirae told Miji that they shouldn't interfere in each other's lives..she then told her that all she needs to do at work is actually like she has been remain seated and quiet and not get involved in short act invisible because that's what Mirae is in her work place..she went ahead and gave her a pdf showing her the People she is meant to avoid and what is meant to do of course IAM not blaming Miji either because circumstances can arroused but I don't think she felt the need to tell her anything more because she didn't say expect much about her life to change just because they switched places....and let's not act like we don't know she's the kind to keep things to herself because she believes she can handle it all on her own.
Point number one, she doesn't blame Miji for Hosu learning their secret she blames her for getting him involved in her life which is Cleary something she didn't want from the beginning..like when Hosu asked her why she ran away at the sight of him she said..he reminds her of her family and she didn't want her to get involved..
She doesn't keep the promise to visit granny..how's that so when we literally get a scene of her visiting her in the latest episodes when she lets granny and Miji speak over the phone...IAM not sure why but it's like you wanted a full account on the number of times she visited her to be shown to you on screen...and let's face it when she feels like she can't do it she always tells the mom to go and that's not an excuse it's because she has work to do at the farm.
Your points are valid but I can't help look at them like you picking a side...over another which is also up to you but all these points you have noted actually have explanations to them in mirae's perspective...the point here is to point out her flaws but also try to understand her but you just pointed out the flaws and that's just about it..anyways every one is accustomed to their own opinions but sympathy comes from understanding and if you can't do that they you can't sympathise...
I just can't find any sympathy for Mirae anymore. She is treating everyone like shit, always pointing out Miji's…
Mirae is emotionally closed off but she isn't mean or selfish...yes she gets lost in her own world and let's her problems swallow her up but don't we all....and how are you coming to the conclusion that's she's treating every one as shit..I mean point out a few because as far as I've seen she pushes people away but thats just about it....how are you going to feel sympathy for a character you are not even trying to understand.
When Mirae was young, she dreamt of becoming a tree. To her, a tree possessed the strength to withstand the pain and challenges of her illness. She did become a tree, resolute and enduring. However, this strength came at a cost, as she learned to internalize her emotions. She became a tree that, over time, slowly began to wither, alone.
There is no point proving something that isn't true...
If the people by your side know the truth then that's enough...
If you don't let go..you can't grab onto something else..so let's grab onto any happiness, goodness and joy we can find.
This episode actually added depth to Sejin and mirae's relationship..it showed us that they are both actually similar in so many ways..and the way he kept using his own experiences to help her in further enlightening hers was so well done...
Sejin who despite everything still approaches life with energy and positivity and Mirae who gets sucked in and drained by life that her light dims...and is now being influenced by sejins approach to life.

Meanwhile Mirae: I already told her 😭

my opinion anyways.
