unpopular opinion but SML isn’t that annoying 🫢 like it’s all down to your personal tastes but i feel like he has it rough too. he’s having a hard time breaking his ties with baishuo because he actually cared about their engagement while she saw no value in it. she has her mind driven by revenge while he’s chasing after his losses. i pity him every time he has to stare at fan yue and bai shuo’s budding relationship 😆 he’s the typical 白月光 character, the pure justice fighter who loses in the love triangle, so maybe people aren’t used to

i think a majority of watchers find the flow very fast? backstory, then people riot, city falls, move to new palace, learn magic from turtle, now a martial arts contest, soon a new fox arc, i feel like it's steady, but maybe some people prefer more action. i dont think the ml is the missing point, perhaps it's the music. my only complaint about the show so far is sometimes the ost feels unsuitable. a very emotional scene can have diminished effect's if the music doesn't match? hope you'll find enjoyment soon!
