ml is endgame obv so they will have screentime together, it may not be a fan favorite trope but the romance plot is essential FL-ML slowburn with SML arc stuck in between, they have amazing scenes coming and i think it's worth it to watch ZZ episodes because he's pretty important in political plot :)

idk what platforms you're referring to but weibo hot search board is always hateful hashtags with actors getting flamed simultaneously, ex there was a hashtag for how bailu's posture was too curved like an ostrich, how yushuxin's voice was so high it irritated everyone in the room. comments there are always negative and mass hate ratings on douban are even worse. all dramas rise over time like how jounrey to love went from 8.1 to 8.7 through its airing period, last immortal will undoubtedly experience similar changes; 7.4 is not permanent

i think all popular actors have haters, the low rating is most likely due to the show just beginning to air and reviews are not a representative sample of the watchers (ex. SOKP was once 8.2 but peaked at 8.9)

while i understand this genre of drama will always begin with lighthearted comedy before the actual plot, i am absolutely repelled by baby voice characters, everything else is fine tho

SOKP peak ranked within the top 100 and now it's at 150, i feel like many dramas are dropping in ratings long after airing like WRTW and Go Ahead even though they aired awhile ago :(

when AoS was airing i was like squirming and crying for more episodes, a binge is a nice experience

this was the drama that kinda earned her more respect in the c-industry. zhaoyao made her decently popular but her acting performance in this gained her much recognition, the romance aspect in this drama is kinda like unspoken love where there actions speak volumes
